The practice has continued to grow and I feel it's gotten slightly better but it's always hit or miss. Definitely consider you will be there far longer than you should be. Also, most recently, I received a bill from my insurance company for a routine eye exam. I have relied on the practice to schedule future appointments for my daughters knowing what is covered and what is not. I was actually there recently for my youngest daughter and the office told me it had been less than a year since her last appointment so they let me reschedule it for a new date. Apparently my insurance covers every 2 years. Not every year. So after taking my older daughter to a recent appointment that the office scheduled for us last year, I got hit with $460 bill. After calls with my insurance company who thought they'd miscoded the visit, the billing office told me we'd reached benefit maximum so it wasn't covered. A call back to my insurance and she explained preventative vision care is every 2 years. I realize that it's my responsibility to know every detail about my insurance, but I thought these offices could see that when they scheduled visits for patients. My dentist office and pediatrician both seem to know what's going on with our health insurance. But not Mildford Frankin Eye Center. Lesson learned. But I'm done. I'm on the search for a practice.

It has been almost 3 weeks since my LASIK procedure and I am in awe of my new eyes! I was very…read morenervous going into it, but looking back I had nothing to worry about! From the initial consultation, the staff were friendly, patient and understanding of my nerves. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Giles was great and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The procedure took less than 20 minutes and was painless. After the procedure I experienced very little discomfort and after a few days, any discomfort I did have completely went away. I experienced dry eyes for the first week, but since then that has also gone away. Being able to see is the greatest gift and I am beyond grateful to TLC for giving me the gift of eyesight. If you are nervous to get LASIK, know that I was too, but wish I hadn't been so nervous because in the end I had such a positive experience.
