The salesperson told me the tint would work for my outside job, however, when I wore my new glasses outside all day, the tint did not get dark like sunglasses. I came back to discuss my disappointment and options for making them darker as initially described. The sales lady tried to sell me new glasses for $300 more dollars on top of the $400 already paid. Unlike chains or employed healthcare that may push glasses or volume of patents, this is Dr. LaFerla's place. I never felt rushed, he communicated well--about procedures and insurance billing--his office is beautiful and state-of-the-art, while his service and care are old-school. I expressed that I was planning to purchase glasses with my first progressive script ever elsewhere by mail, and he then must have taken at least 1/2 hour more to make sure that my script was right, never pressuring me to buy frames from him. He's kind, comfortable, professional. Super personalized experience. Insurance process was easy, preregistering before my visit. Buy local--and get the best experience too!

I was thrilled to find this office so close to where I work downtown. I looked at who was a…read morepreferred provider with my vison insurance and I was able to schedule an appointment online. The assistant was great at taking my eye measurements, then scanning my retna. Dr. J. Strickland is my new optometrist. She went through the vision tests and explained the retna pictures and my eye health. I look forward to seeing her next time I am due for an exam. When it came time for the cost breakdown, the assistant went over what my insurance covered, my co-pays and coinsurance. They didn't have my contacts in stock, so they will be arriving in 5-7 business days. I was lucky to score a parking spot on the street out front, but I am not sure if they have a parking lot available.

Then I received a phone call a few days after my visit saying they forgot to bill me for my contact lens fitting and that I owe another $60. Received another call a few weeks later saying they "misread" my insurance and I owe another $110. This is not the first time they've called me after an appointment saying they made an error and I actually owe more than they originally told me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
