Bad Review. I have been a customer for years, but now I was seen, paid $227.00 for eye exam, glasses? AND provided my own frames. I also have 3 insurance companies for coverage. With the understanding that $0.00 balance was due. I have now received a bill for $25.00 6 months later stating it was my "deductible. This billing practice is unethical at best. A long time customer will reconsider this eye establishment. In the days when Gail was there, and other glasses pros they took a real interest in how your glasses fit and how comfortable they were. Now it's a young gal that has to look at her computer screen to know what to say and offers no adjustment for the frames. I bought top of the dollar frames and got no service. Now home they can use adjustment, but then I have to go back to the office. What a scam. Dr. Julie, you should be embarrassed. read more

We are relatively new to the area and we were in need of a new optometrist. I had no idea how lucky we were. We hit the jackpot when we made that appointment. First of all they got us in the next week and sent us our patient forms to fill out on line which were simple and easy to navigate. We were unfortunately running late as there was a fatality accident on Highway 200 the day before and they had the highway traffic blocked. I called to let them know that we were way behind schedule and when we got there I chose the wrong door to enter and one of the gals jumped up from her desk greeted me and took me to the right door and we were greeted with open arms. It felt like we were being greeted by family. It was such a warm experience from all the staff and our optometrist by Dr. Jeremy gave us the most thorough and in-depth exam my husband and I had ever had at an eye doctor before. We were amazed at the quality of care. They welcomed us and greeted us to the area and made us feel right at home. Even spending extra time with us answering all our questions .If you are looking for a new eye doctor I highly suggest going here. I am so happy that we have found our new optometrist clinic. Staff was very nice! This was my first time at this place of business, and the staff was very nice. However, this review will be based solely on my experience after the eye exam. I called in a days in advance to schedule my eye exam. My wife had been seen here before and recommended me. As I walked into the building, I was greeted by a young woman at the front desk. She asked to take my picture and if I had my insurance card with me. I told her I went to their online website and filled out all the forms. I also let her know that my wife had been here in the past, and we were on the same insurance plan. An older woman who had been sharing the desk as a second receptionist told her she had plugged in all the information in their system. The younger woman says, "Ok, I found it." I went through the eye exam like a breeze. I walked into the main room where I was told I would be able to pick out a pair of eyeglasses. Everyone had a great sense of humor and were very likable. About 25 minutes later, a woman by the name of Katie, walks up to me and says, i'm sorry but we do not except your current insurance and that I had to pay $170+ for the exam. I held my composure as they called my wife to inform her of their huge mistake. After getting off the phone with my wife, Katie approached me again and said that they knocked it down to $50. I let them know that I had never experienced this before. I asked them, "Aren't you supposed to verify a patients insurance information before performing an eye exam on them?" Everyone rolled their eyes, and had the look on their face as if they were biting their tongue. I overheard someone say that they would be irate if this had happened to them. I was told that they were training someone new and this was the cause of their error. Katie, then said I should have brought my insurance card in as I was instructed by her receptionist. I let her know that I was not informed, and all I received was a call verifying I would be able to make it in the next day. I payed the $50 and they handed me a piece of paper with my prescription on it. In my opinion. this was not the fault of one person, but the business as a whole. They did not do their due-diligence and follow the proper processes before treating me. I do not believe I should have had to pay the $50, just the amount of my co-pay. This was not offered, and I walked out with a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, this was not a satisfying experience. read more

Very unimpressed with this establishment. I was told the machine that took pictures of your eyes was broken so they didn't take pictures of mine, but the took pictures of my family members ten minutes later without a problem. The woman that looked at my eyes was friendly, but the image I was supposed to look at was still blurry when she said it was done, which makes me concerned about the prescription I received. When I went out to look at the glasses on display the staff were extremely rude and rushed. i bought a pair for a hefty price, and had to bring them back a week later due to a chip in the glass, they were on warranty, but I was not informed when the took the glasses that it could take three weeks to get them back! I can get a pair in half that time from Zenni! Safe to say I will never be returning to this place. Very disappointed. read more

Very disappointing. When initially looking for frames I asked if it was possible to find out what frames could be ordered with shorter bows. Not possible. After choosing a number of frames and being told they were not available with shorter bows, I ordered some frames online and they fit perfectly. I took the new frames to Eye Care For You and ordered, and paid $565 for, prescription progressive lenses. When the glasses arrived, it was obvious the measurements taken by the optical shop had been incorrect - I had to tilt my head back at an exaggerated angle and look through the bottom of the lenses to see things at a distance. They remeasured and placed a second order. When the glasses arrived the second time, the same problem existed. I was told the frames needed to be "adjusted" and the optician proceeded to bend the nose pieces to raise the frames on my face to compensate for the focal point being too low. Great, now my frames that fit perfectly were bent up and no longer felt comfortable. I asked for a refund and a refund was refused (maybe that is normal). Now I am faced with ordering another pair of frames and starting over - $643 down the tubes. I've probably had 20 pair of glasses in my lifetime and have never had this much trouble getting them to fit and work properly. read more

I broke my glasses and called around town. Eye care for you was the only place in town willing to help me out the same day. I didn't have a back up pair and my eyesight is quite poor, Ronnie was empathetic to me and let me bring my glasses in to get them repaired, she was awesome! I scheduled an exam for next week because I am so pleased with this service. Thank you! read more

The time came to update my prescription and get glasses and sunglasses made. I normally just get the exam locally and order the glasses/lenses online but this year, for whatever reason, decided to keep it local and ended up paying at least 3x more than I needed to. I was really surprised that when I picked up my clear glasses that no effort was made to check and adjust them for me and I found myself in the parking lot using my own pliers to adjust the nose pads and then, when I picked up my prescription sunglasses, the original (Oakley) lenses were not returned to me like they always had been in the past through other companies that have made prescription sunglasses for me. When I tried to recover my original lenses, I was told that they were lost and that it was my fault for not specifying that I wanted the original lenses from my $250. sunglasses returned. It might make you feel better to keep buisness local, but it basically cost me around 300% extra. read more
