However when I recently got my lashes done at her new establishment Valla Lash Bar i was not impressed. I booked through Groupon and I did not know that it was the same business at the time since I took a break from getting my lashes done. The booking was easy and user friendly, however the address wasn't updated and I would have went to the wrong place if Elijah didn't text me to tell me she was running late. I didn't mind that she was running late, life happens. It wasn't until I got there I felt a little uncomfortable. The room was cold since it was currently being renovated, it would have been nice to get offered a blanket like the last time I saw her. She is usually pretty quick but i did not think a full set would be so short. I did not see my lashes until we went down stairs and because of that I felt uncomfortable to have to fix my left side. When we got to the payment i told her I had a groupon and she got annoyed with me because that wasn't my first time at her place. To help alleviate this situation, fix the groupon ad and say you price match; don't take it out on the customer. I was happy she allowed me to use the groupon but it made me feel slightly uncomfortable. :( I got my lashes done because I was in a wedding, but I still had to use lash strips because they started off uneven and they fell out within a couple days. My friend got her lashes done there a couple days after me and her lashes ended up like mine. So it wasn't my care, I've had lashes done several times and I know how to take care of them. OVERALL: I will probably go back because of the first experience I had, but not anytime soon. She has the best prices in town, but I want my lashes to match and to last longer than a few days.

I was greeted by the tattoo parlor receptionist and took a seat on the couch, being told Elijah was just next door. Three minutes after my appointment was to have started, I got a call from Elijah asking if I was going to show up. Uhhh... I'm at your place right now. ?! She said she would be right over. Twenty two minutes later, she showed up. I was upstairs waiting at her station at this point. She briefly said hi, told me to take off my shoes, and taped my bottom lashes. At this point, she started to gather her materials. I'm sitting there with my lashes taped shut and she's yelling to her assistant that she can't find her black lash adhesive. That she had it Friday but can't find it now. ... you're kidding, right? We're approaching thirty minutes after my appointment time now and it's obvious she never even prepared for my arrival. Finally the adhesive was found and she started lashing away, without asking me about preferred length at all. Whatever - maybe she has looked into what I'd had done previously when I saw her several years ago (also not a particularly positive experience, but I had hoped things had changed with the new location). Turned out not to be the case. As soon as her hands covered my face, the odor of weed and something else offensive assaulted me. The smell of soap was undetectable. From a customer service perspective, I wish I could give negative stars. From a finished product perspective... let's just say my boyfriend who has never commented on changes in my appearance except in a "that looks nice, dear" way told me this morning (just shy of three days after my appointment) that i should go elsewhere for lashes next time. My lashes are falling out and while they don't yet look bare and embarrassing, they also don't look full and beautiful three days after application. Lashes here are a waste of your money.

Her space is very clean and also very soothing. I love my lashes and received the compliments that they looked natural and fit my face and eye shape. When I got there Liza informed me I didn't purchase the extreme lashes but the basic package even though I purchased the $89 dollar package a few weeks ago. I asked her how much more would it be to get more lashes and she said an additional $120 and that she "didn't have time". That what I paid for was 50-70 lashes. While placing the lashes, she didn't prep them after I washed because she said my lashes were already dry. I asked her how much the non-Groupon price for each was. $250 for this set pictured here and $350-400 for the "Extreme set". I also asked her if she was placing (grouping) more than one lash on each of my lashes, to which she replied "don't worry about it...that they are silk". That it would "look good" and that she is "giving me more than I paid for". I stayed to finish getting them on because I didn't feel she would reimburse me and didn't want to walk out with one eye done. I used to get my lashes done at Amazing Lash regularly in Texas so I feel I understand the process and how they should look and fair pricing. Things are understandably more expensive here. I don't mind paying but this whole experience was absolutely not worth any part of this. I feel this service is grossly overpriced, Liza the lash stylist is less than professional and this is not worth your time or money. Don't waste your time.

She went all out ! Went twice for stubborn fuzz hairs, and plucked n trimmed as needed. This was the best Professional Wax service I've ever had. Same price as the Wam Bam, thank you Mam services. $60 for 40 min. Chin. Lip. Eyebrows. Impeccable job. I only wish I could see her in Sitka. I was friendly and pleasant but it didn't seem like my nail tech Dewey was motivated to do his job. He claimed to have 14 years of experience while simultaneously not knowing anything about duck shape nails or colors like marshmallow. C'mon every nail tech worth their salt knows marshmallow. He seemed really annoyed when I wanted my crooked nail fixed and made straight, even though I requested it from the jump. He suggested I just wait until next visit. Why would I want to look at a crooked nail for 2 to 3 weeks?!! Just unreal. He had the nails on my right hand longer than my left hand & I had to point that out, only then was that remedied. Can you imagine?!!! He didn't seem to know how to buff and file the nails well and even cut me at one point to where I began bleeding. The place is so low vibe, low energy. No one seemed happy, friendly or vibrant. I dislike writing negative reviews but if it helps others avoid a negative experience it's worth it!
