This was easily the most disappointing lash experience I've ever had…read more It started when I showed up early. I was greeted by the tattoo parlor receptionist and took a seat on the couch, being told Elijah was just next door. Three minutes after my appointment was to have started, I got a call from Elijah asking if I was going to show up. Uhhh... I'm at your place right now. ?! She said she would be right over. Twenty two minutes later, she showed up. I was upstairs waiting at her station at this point. She briefly said hi, told me to take off my shoes, and taped my bottom lashes. At this point, she started to gather her materials. I'm sitting there with my lashes taped shut and she's yelling to her assistant that she can't find her black lash adhesive. That she had it Friday but can't find it now. ... you're kidding, right? We're approaching thirty minutes after my appointment time now and it's obvious she never even prepared for my arrival. Finally the adhesive was found and she started lashing away, without asking me about preferred length at all. Whatever - maybe she has looked into what I'd had done previously when I saw her several years ago (also not a particularly positive experience, but I had hoped things had changed with the new location). Turned out not to be the case. As soon as her hands covered my face, the odor of weed and something else offensive assaulted me. The smell of soap was undetectable. From a customer service perspective, I wish I could give negative stars. From a finished product perspective... let's just say my boyfriend who has never commented on changes in my appearance except in a "that looks nice, dear" way told me this morning (just shy of three days after my appointment) that i should go elsewhere for lashes next time. My lashes are falling out and while they don't yet look bare and embarrassing, they also don't look full and beautiful three days after application. Lashes here are a waste of your money.

She was very kind and accommodating when I came in as I was running late misjudging my travel time from Eagle River. Very calm and non-judgmental which put me at ease. Her space is very clean and also very soothing. I love my lashes and received the compliments that they looked natural and fit my face and eye shape. When I got there Liza informed me I didn't purchase the extreme lashes but the basic package even though I purchased the $89 dollar package a few weeks ago. I asked her how much more would it be to get more lashes and she said an additional $120 and that she "didn't have time". That what I paid for was 50-70 lashes. While placing the lashes, she didn't prep them after I washed because she said my lashes were already dry. I asked her how much the non-Groupon price for each was. $250 for this set pictured here and $350-400 for the "Extreme set". I also asked her if she was placing (grouping) more than one lash on each of my lashes, to which she replied "don't worry about it...that they are silk". That it would "look good" and that she is "giving me more than I paid for". I stayed to finish getting them on because I didn't feel she would reimburse me and didn't want to walk out with one eye done. I used to get my lashes done at Amazing Lash regularly in Texas so I feel I understand the process and how they should look and fair pricing. Things are understandably more expensive here. I don't mind paying but this whole experience was absolutely not worth any part of this. I feel this service is grossly overpriced, Liza the lash stylist is less than professional and this is not worth your time or money. Don't waste your time.

Cali Nails and Spa…read more After having a long day today I decided to go get my nails done. I went here to Cali Nails in the Diamond mall. I called ahead of time to make sure they had room. I got there and I was excited to get my nails done. Sat there waiting for my turn. It wasn't busy in there. And then this nail tech came and said it was my turn. He was hard to understand. Then I tell him I wanted a fill. He said what kind I tell him ombré and that I want red. He then tells me that he's going to do the same color I had before and that it would be better for me. I looked at him and said well I said I want red and since I'm paying for a service I expect to have what I want. While doing my nails he kept twisting my fingers and hurting me while he was doing my nails. I told the nail tech that I would like snow flakes on my ring finger and thumb on both hands. He did both ring fingers and then tells me he only doing one design on my hands. I was like excuse you I said on my thumbs too. He the yanks my hands and tells me that it's going to cost more. He was then yanking my hands around and then while my hands were in the uv lamp drying he yanks the light and it made me fall forward. I looked at him and told him that his service was shitty! I just left after I paid for my nails. I'm never going back again. They charged me $90.00 for a fill and very bad service. The man who did my nails sits towards the back in the second to the last seat right by the aisle towards the back. Never again. I went there cause my mom and I use to go there back when they use to be over on the old side of the mall.
