The parking lot and pump area looks like it doesn't get regularly swept up and debris removed. The inside floors need a good sweep & mop as well. I visited in the morning hours, normally an overnight clean would still be looking good at this hour. Bathrooms were ok and the outside patio tables were clean but the ground is covered with cigarette butts. Maintenance might be an issue here. First pump I tried to use was out of commission. At the fountain drink station the cubed ice maker was not working and the soft drinks weren't being carbonated at all. The employee at the counter was friendly.

We have been driving for four hours and still had another two to go. Tried the shell across the street and their bathroom was out of service. So this was one of the last places we could go to (and are now literally in pain trying to find another bathroom). I told her all this and she very rudely said okay and walked around to go unlock the bathroom. She puts the key in, jiggles it, and then walks away. I pull the door and it is still locked. We just left then because there was no getting anywhere with that situation. So, please patron somewhere else because that was just a rude, terrible experience, considering we even topped off our tank there to be nice and not just use the bathroom. I can understand not having the bathroom open because of sanitation reasons, but to pretend to unlock the door was just beyond unbelievable, especially considering that I had not been rude, or demanding, really just pleading. So go to the racetrac instead, it's just a little ways over and probably much cleaner than Murphy bathroom anyways.

There is a truckers lounge and showers on property and a Denny's in the same building. Since this is a truck stop as well it can get pretty busy inside, but the truck traffic is in a separate parking lot. My biggest and only complaint is the parking lot for the trucks flows out into a busy portion of the street and the trucks ALWAYS block traffic coming from I-65. I would love to see something be done to minimize the trucks blocking on coming traffic such as make them turn right out of the parking lot and not give them an option to turn left or put a light at that the exit or the trucking lot. This issue is only going to get worse and could easily cause a serious wreck.

This is a good gas station in an area that still doesn't have a lot of gas stations or other things. I would definitely recommend here.
