North Side

What can you say about this place? Not much. It's a gas station on the North Side that has the…read morebasic needs that you can find at a gas station. It could quite possibly be the busiest gas station in the city. There is a constant flow of people coming and going. At the current time the inside is undergoing a remodel. Changing over to a 7-Eleven convenience store on the inside. Most Sunoco's, if not all of them, are dropping their chain of convenience stores and being replaced with 7-Eleven's. Customer service could use a little fine tuning here. A smile goes a long way.

Well, here I am, writing a review on a gas station. Yep. And this one's just fine, I suppose. It's…read morea little bigger than the ones near my house, which I can NEVER find an empty pump at before sunset, it seems; at least here when there's a line the wait seems shorter. And since this one is right up the street from work, it's a great and often necessary pit stop before I head out for an enjoyable night in the 'Burgh. Have to say, though, I hate the stupid TVs by the gas pumps here. I just find them to be aggravating and an unnecessary noisy addition to the area. I used to pick up a cookie and/or a drink once I'd managed to brave the rush hour crowd and get my tank of gas. The snack and drink selection is pretty reasonable, but hey, it's gas station stuff so it's not going to be extraordinary. I've never eaten their hot dogs or wrapped sandwiches so I can't comment on those. I do kind of wish the lines to the registers weren't so slow here. I said I used to pick things up here because I've started avoiding coming in, just to avoid the slow lines. So hey, not exceptional but there's nothing here that makes me say risk running on fumes until you find another gas station, either. Its location and its proximity to my work office definitely helps me overlook the cons of the place. And hey, at the end of the day a Sunoco is a Sunoco.

I was anxiously awaiting the opening of this Speedway!! Since I travel across the Mckees Rocks…read moreBridge every day I have been keeping and eye on the construction. The other two gas stations in the area are located at the end of the bridge and its quite a challenge depending upon the time of day to pull in and out. My first visit was a little chaotic just checking out at the register.. lines are not established and there are customers waiting everywhere. It took a little time even though there were a few register's opened. Other than that .. the service was good. I noticed the gas prices are same as the other two competitors near the bridge. I look forward to visiting again... coffee and a scratch off!

so the last review i left almost a year ago is the dame one im leaving today. the box trucks that…read morewas broke down and out of inspection are still here. now one of the 8 box trucks that still take up parking spots for OTR drivers have to block the pumps. not only are they blocking the front of the pumps you have the local truck driver's park past the pumps. now that fuel is $6 a gallon for diesel i can only imagine how much money they are loosing out on so these people can park here for free. lose lose situation. if you go behind the truck parking be careful. you will either get poked with a dirty needle, step in human feces or trip over all the trash. we haven't even went inside the store yet! once you step thru the door you get an overwhelming smell of Marijuana and piss. then you have to walk into the coolers to get any drink you want because NOBODY stocks the shelves. you got to order a fresh breakfast sandwich off the menu and the pull one out of the warming rack that's been sitting in there since 3a.m. it's 730am now. if I wanted that old a$$ sandwich I could've just grabbed it myself. then when you say something about it they say they are all out of that. so you ask what do you have to available to make fresh and you get "nothing " for your answer. so you make your way to the counter to pay for the drinks you had to get out of the cooler yourself and you sit there for 10 minutes while dre and the pink haired fella have a conversation about what the did last night. this place needs an overhaul or just shut down. if you are looking for any hospitality or customer service don't even bother trying to get any here. management needs to fired from corporate for even being the slightest bit okay with what is going on at this location. it's a free for all here and no management leadership holding anyone responsible for the way they treat customers.
