Dave's Bp So this…read moreafternoon I talked to Sam at Dave's BP in Hancock, and she tells me they are no longer doing business with me. She said that because of the last repair job (One they fucked up), and the amount of paperwork they had to go through to reimburse me, they were no longer interested in doing business. So let's look at what they are losing out from one single entity... Last year when I did taxes, I itemize everything for my business, that includes gas expenses from each business we go to. And BP received a total of $113,000 from my business, (IE: Repairs, Fuel, Tires, Tows for all my vehicles.) They were the ones I trusted, they were the ones I always called first. Apparently, my money is not good enough for them, Just because I held them to a repair warranty. (basically, they screwed up on something or a part was faulty whatever it was. So it's my fault they had to deal with the headache of it) Need I say out loud what I am feeling? Or can you just understand... (rhetorical) One question. How are they still in business? Needless to say, Northline Auto (aka Jerry;s Transmission will be getting all my business from this point on) And Freedom will get my gas business..

This particular location is located in Jeannette, and it is open 24 hours per day. My husband and I needed to fill up the gas tank in our SUV with premium gasoline. A pump was available for our use, so we did not have to wait in a line of vehicles. The price of $4.999 per gallon was comparable to what other gas stations charge, and we experienced no waits or malfunctioning with the pump. Note: If you are a member of Giant Eagle's rewards program, then you can earn Perks here and later redeem them for discounts on gas and groceries. We did not use the convenience store or the GetGo Cafe, so I cannot comment on them.

To note it is at a very busy intersection on Route 30 in Jeannette. This sits between two red light intersections, on a busy day this can be quite a chore to get in and out of. With it being brand new the location has all the bells and whistles. The gas island is set off to one side of the lot making it fairly easy if you are just getting gas. There is also a free air spot for your tires. The store portion is pretty great. It has that industrial feel. It has all that you would expect to find when it comes to convenience. This location also has a fairly extensive selection of beer and wine. The hot prepared food section is rather nice looking. I cannot speak to the speed or quality of the food as I was just looking for a quick drink after fueling up my vehicle. One added bonus at this location is kind of hidden. Prior to this being a GetGo a PNC Bank sat at the location. PNC didn't completely go away. In the back right corner there sits a drive up ATM, brought to you by no other than PNC.

Recently, I ran inside to turn in two lottery tickets and had the pleasure of interacting with two associates behind the counter. Both men were very polite and friendly. The store itself was bright, clean, and organized. I'm not a smoker, but they have a million flavors of vapes. I am, however, a snacker and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of crunchy bagged goods on display. I was in and out within a minute, but I'm sure I'll be back.

The convenience store is small, but they are well stacked with cold drinks. There are 10 gas pumps and the prices seem reasonable. It's quick access to the highway. The clerk is friendly and it's quick to buy what you need and get on your way.

The cashier correctly rang up our purchase. I would prefer that the store offer foods that are healthier. We did not use the gas pumps or the restrooms, and we did not order any made-to-order foods, so I cannot comment on their quality. The store contained some tables and chairs where customers could sit and eat. Tip: If you are a member of Giant Eagle's rewards program, then you can use your rewards to receive discounts on gas here.

Aside from that, it's basically like any other big box store. Bulk items of everything you can imagine. Plus they have some great prepared foods (taco kits, pot pies etc). They also have a cafe which is a really cheap way to feed your family. They have pizza, hot dogs, yogurts, ice cream, pretzels, icees and pop. The downside is that there are ALWAYS lines. They never have enough registers open.

Yeah, bulk purchases mean more planning and sometimes you don't 100 bags of the same thing over and over. But I love Sam's more for the extra things on top of just the bulk food. They have the absolute cheapest packaging supplies (I do a lot of shipping so cheap bubble wrap and tape SPEAK to me) The food samples are just nostalgic youth moments and still fun to grab multiple... PS the workers don't care. The faster it goes, the quicker they can go in the back. The scan and go changed the game. No more waiting in lines and no more wondering if you over spent as you wheel your big cart to the front. Simple integration in their app and simple to use. I wish more stores could get on board. Plus... now the automatic exit scanners mean no more employee fumbling through your cart to scan the required number of items. Sam's knows what we need and they implement it.
