This swirl World is usually my go to when i'm passing thru but last time we were there the peanuts topping was so rancid they tasted like petrified burnt peanut oil from 17BC. There was no fresh fruit in the vast amount of toppings, which is usually our go to, so we added the strawberry coulis. It was way too sweet, tasted like fake processed bug poison. Yes, it was really that bad. As a matter of fact, the toppings were so stale & rancid we couldn't even eat it. It melted completely in the car so I poured it out the window. It swirled right down the side of my car. Thanks a lot Swirl World for the swirl on my car. Better than us swirling in the parking lot I suppose. Do not recommend.

The best part is that everything has the macros listed right on the label, which makes it so easy to stay on track with my fitness goals. The prices are great for the quality you get, and I love knowing I can grab something quick on the go without having to cook or worry about what's in it. It's perfect for busy weeks when I still want to eat clean and feel good. Highly recommend to anyone who wants healthy meals that actually taste amazing!

I can start this review with one word: Meats! I buy all of my meats from this store. Without fail…read morethey always have a great selection! The meat department here is definitely one I'd recommend. I've yet to be disappointed. The people running and working in this department keep the items fresh and the coolers full. The store also carries a good selection of wines and cheeses. Not as good of a liquor selection. Its limited. The bakery and its selection could be better, but all in all is not too bad. I will say that the bakery here carries much fresher items than the store in Hammond. And this is from several of my experiences. The deli is okay on selection, but not always the friendliest. The store itself is always clean and tidy. Which makes for a good shopping experience.

You can get boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, dressed catfish, catfish strips, filets, crawfish etoufee, seafood pasta, and more on the hot bar. If you love fried fish, I recommend going for the catfish alone. To compare it to Tony's, a pound of catfish normally costs $14 a lb and their dressed fish is $5.99 a piece. I personally enjoy the crawfish etoufee, crawfish pasta, the boiled and fried shrimp, and the catfish. Definitely hit them up if you're in the area. This price is only on Fridays.

While the prices are higher than Winn Dixie (which also has high-priced produce compared to Texas), the liquor selection is remarkable. We had fun going down the aisles and checking out the odds and ends. My husband bought a bottle of whiskey, and he can't wait until our next visit to drop in again. I was brought back to my high school days when I would drop in and kill time wandering around the store.

Located in historic Madisonville, Piggly Wiggly is not what you'd call a fancy grocery store. What…read moreit is however, is a great example of a small town grocery. I love old grocery stores. I think it is because they remind me of childhood vacations to Grand Isle where we visited the Safeway before settling in at the camp. That grocery store, like this Piggly Wiggly wasn't fancy, but it made you feel welcome. On this trip I just needed a few items that would have been available at any drug, convenience, or large grocery store. I stopped here because it was on the way home, plus I figured I would enjoy the store and I most certainly did. There are only 4-6 aisles in this store and each is packed with items to maximize space. There is a small produce area, deli and larger liquor area. Apparently Madisonville likes their booze. The produce was fresh and fairly priced, but don't expect the selection you'd find at a larger store. I bought bananas and pears, both of which were devoured by my children soon after bringing them home. I didn't buy any of their meat this trip, but they had a good variety of freshly packaged meat available. They even had frog legs and stuffed chickens available. Speaking of kids, if yours are the rambunctious type, they may bump into things as they twirl to the imaginary music in their heads. I lucked out that mine saved that behavior for the parking lot, but the aisles are somewhat narrow so use caution. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this old style neighborhood grocery. I doubt it will become my regular store, but I will be sure to stop in whenever I'm passing through and need a few items.

So I went in there at 7:25am this morning and I bought 6 buscuits for my kids and neice and nephew who stayed the night, she said as I was checking out "I'm sorry sir, only 2 Per customer" I said "you have like 20 (I guess because she doesn't want to make more) I said are you serious? And she said "yeah that way everyone can have some!" I said "well who is everybody, why are they more important than my 6 babies at home or my 4 babies on their way to school every morning, my daughter told me you throw your hands up every morning and mumble "little bitch". The manager looks at me and said "I was just joking but now put them all back in there, you can't have any." I said "no, 6 kids can't have them. they were not for me". So you just lost me and my family's service after 30 years. 6 real men, would sacrifice or go without so that 6 children can eat a good breakfast and if that's the problem, why not make 6 more?
