The part that bothers me is the watery soap from the foaming brush. It's almost as if they do they to make you have to wash the car 2x. It's like a money grab. The heads on the brushes are small and circular. It's definitely some scam type activities from whoever owns or run this place. It's ways to just make you spend as much as possible while not really providing anything except a quick rinse off. I went here maybe 2x when I lived in Towson and stopped and started traveling all the way back to Dundalk to go to my old carwash simply because it's a better carwash and you get more than what you pay for. Be careful with those coins because I've had machines take my money and I couldn't do anything about it because there's no employees there.

You'll find Gander's Car Wash along the westbound side of US40 Baltimore National Pike, west of US-29. It used to be called Dolly's.

When I got a coupon for a free wash at Gander, I figured I'd try them out--nothing to lose! I was surprised at how friendly everyone was--even people who weren't helping me smiled or waved. Great first impression! Two guys got right to work, brushing and washing my car. Then it was time to move on the automated track that had another wash with lots of suds. After a rinse, I got a hot wax and blow drying. To be honest, it was just like what I was used to in Jessup--until I pulled out to drive away. Before I had gone too far, another smiling attendant wiped the water off my car and gave me a thumbs up. Wow. Great service, great job, reasonably priced, and a whole lot closer to home.
