A treasure trove of "stuff"!! A good selection of drinks, Candy, and chips... this Exxon was already an oasis in the night of a long drive... however add in the big lollipops, taffy, a slurpy machine and more and I could have spent some time in here! Everywhere I turned there was interesting stuff to look at... Pickled eggs, merchandise, butters and preserves, seriously? And it wasn't even that big of a place! The big jar of pickled eggs was the topper for me... I wonder if they actually sell any of them... By the way.. the cranberry sprite was actually really good!

We have hit up this place quite a few times on the somber but silver lined drives from Dallas back to San Antonio. Not quite sure why we stop here, perhaps this is the marker where it really sets in that we are on our way for a 5 hour drive and we realize that we need to stop for the restroom, or get gas "once we get out of Dallas" or maybe the dog has to pee. Regardless, we have stopped here plenty. The bathrooms are consistently gross. I mean really gross and actually totally unexpected because the property itself is pretty well kept. The walls of the stalls have confessions one would find out while watching Oprah, like "We leave marks wherever we go; he left a mark on me...so I go" or "I love pussy". Alright, so whether you want to relish in the fact that you are leaving your abusive boyfriend or are a lesbian this is the place to come on out. You are sure to find plenty of items to purchase here that were probably bought out from a close out store circa 1997-2001. Trucker hats, bejeweled items, horizontal oval shaped bumper stickers with sayings like "hot princess" or "chicks dig me". Not to mention the old staples like frog themed yard items and wind chimes. As for food inside like Greg D. said there is a McD's and a Grandy's along with your regular gas station stop options I assume, I have never gotten food here. Filling up on gas here is easy, taking the dog out to pee works due to the grass options and its and easy on and off. Keep your eyes peeled for some fun people watching and safe travels to you.

Poor customer service and claims no advance for trucks even though no signage and they lie and said there is.

Fast service clean restrooms lots of pumps. Can get in and out real quick. The cashiers were checking people out fast so there was no wait.

What a friggin JOKE!!!…read more Everything in the place is ridiculously OVERPRICED!! If you stop here or shop here versus the other stores in Italy, you're an idiot!! I bought a CORE bottle of water that was $2.19 at QT, and these douche bags were $3.99 on the exact same oz and bottle. THEY SUCK!!!

I'm so glad I came here, because now I know the next time I really need gas, or a bathroom break,…read moreI'll just go to Love's across the highway instead. I also realized that gas is about 10-12 cents cheaper in Waco, so if you're heading south (or even north) - get your gas there and just skip this place. This ain't nothing close to Italy. The customer service is so bad here - you don't want to spend any money. You just want to leave. I was thirsty and roamed the coolers for a drink but after the horrid customer service up front - I decided not to give them anymore money. It could be better used elsewhere. On this visit, a Saturday evening, they were lackadaisical, disorganized and inefficient. They had 4 people up at the counter, 1 of which did not seem to not work there and was just hanging out. He was fine - no bother there. But I bought some lotto, she set the tickets down next to her on the counter (out of my reach), I paid, then she walked just away. Making me over reach for the tickets at the edge of the counter. There seems to be no common courtesy or respect for the customer here. A severe lack of professionalism. I will never ever come back, there is nothing here worth a stop - although if you're craving Taco Bell it's across the street. There's a Chinese Rice place too but their reviews are suspect. As I mentioned - next time I'll just stop at Love's across the highway if I need to, but Stuckey's is now on my radar so I'll make sure I make all my stops in Waco if need be when I'm traveling through.

And while the other one is great and fabulous, this one is one star better. A huge selection of baked goods, coffee, decor, clothing, drinks and more. The Kissing Pig Cafe has so many food options, too! Mrs. K. has not had a kolache in years and she's now pescatarian which presents certain challenges. It would be awesome if they had some kolaches with just cheese or were sweet, so while I had one with ham and cheese and one with sausage in cheese, she was at least able to enjoy a strawberry and cream danish as well as the always awesome poppyseed kolache. It's possible that a pecan square was purchased for later consumption, too. The self-serve coffee was great and we enjoyed all of this inside at a comfortable table. And after that, more shopping. So much great stuff to choose from here and very, very clean restrooms. If you're overwhelmed by that massive baked goods counter, just ask for recommendations. They'll get you sorted for sure! Excellent selection of kolaches and klobasneky. You can also buy sandwiches. Minus: as on previous visits, I have found that they are often out of poppyseed and prune kolaches. Not the servers' fault but you would think management would be keen to bake more of what sells most. Then there are the sandwiches. If you want pork, you'll get value. But if you want brisket, look out! I've never seen a more miserly portion offered for 13 dollars. I understand that brisket is expensive now. But I still get it at various restaurants and have to say that it was a five dollar sandwich for thirteen bucks. Additionally, the sandwich maker apparently does not know what and order for "moist" brisket means. Mine proved rather dry.
