I've reviewed a lot of gas stations on Yelp:…read morehttps://www.yelp.com/collection/feP73QIFqpzHefu3txmGjg/Gas-Stations-and-Convenience-Stores. Off the top of my head, I can count on only one hand the number of gas stations that have special driveways like this Sheetz in Burlington does. If heading south down Maple Ave / NC 49, this Sheetz has a direct, one-way "exit" that puts you right onto the property. It reminds me of the RaceTrac on Peachtree Pkwy / GA 141 in Peachtree Corners, Georgia: https://www.yelp.com/biz/racetrac-peachtree-corners. This is Sheetz store #592. It's located just off of I-85 / I-40 exit 145: NC 49 - Downtown Burlington, Liberty. It's an OK stop to fill up at if you're traveling between the Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem) and Triangle (Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh). Note: On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-85 and I-40 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exit numbers are 131-163. Sheetz is known more for their convenience stores with "MTO" made-to-order food than they are for their gas stations (e.g., gas prices, amenities). Currently, Sheetz is only in Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company is headquartered in Altoona, PA. I remember my first experience at the Sheetz on Wendover Ave in Greensboro, many years ago. Multiple Sheetz stores have since opened and closed in my hometown of High Point: https://www.bizjournals.com/triad/news/2019/11/12/sheetz-to-close-high-point-store-because-of.html. The luster of the brand has long worn off on me, but I think it's still fine.

I was told I had to visit Sheetz when I went on a small road trip. I was told it's like…read moreQT/QuikTrip but better. Coming from Charlotte, it's very similar to QT, but "better" in the sense that freshly-made food is available 24/7 and the menu is larger. I wanted a fish sandwich but I was told they didn't have fish. I was given a free item coupon for the inconvenience. I had a fried mozzarella cheese stick, and they were good and had a light garlic flavor in the breading. I ate a tuna salad sandwich wedge, and it's like the other wedge sandwiches you can get elsewhere. The restrooms were clean. The employees were friendly.
