Bottom Line: Small convenience store, a handful of gas pumps and friendly staff…read more This Sunoco station isn't large or fancy but it gets the job done when I need gas and caffeine before getting on US 50 from Southbound Route 2. The convenience store isn't fancy but it seems like that attributes to a lower overhead and slightly lower prices. The station is small so if a car is parked at the pump, another car can't pass them and needs to cut through the other pumps. If you are just running in the store to get some beverages, sundries, lotto tickets, etc. then there are a few dedicated parking spots that don't block the pumps. The staff is always friendly.

One of them is a well known chain that offers a very standard selection of snacks and drinks. You know them, and you know what they have. I suggest you go the more exciting route. This unassuming Exxon station is home to the best tacos and biggest burritos in the area. The Taqueria has plenty of reviews, and is absolutely reason enough to spend your gas and snacks money here instead of next door. It isn't the only reason, though. The gas station convenience store selection is more than enough on its own. The chip selection is great, and shows that they understand the customers who are waiting for an order of tacos. Their soft drink possibilities are similar, with a mix of standard sodas and canned fruit juices. They also have a well rounded stack of baked goods. Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a TastyKake, but some of the Latin bakeries come pretty close! You can also play the lottery, buy bait, stock up on pet food, and even find a new pen and notebook. Just a small bit of everything as you head towards the remainder of your day. It's convenient and run by an owner who obviously tries to stock something for everyone. I'd love the layout to be changed just a bit so that those waiting for their food orders aren't all crowded near the gas station register, but I understand that you have to work with the space you have. There are two (indoor) single occupancy bathrooms. They don't sparkle but are at least as clean as the other spot, and are used less frequently. They exist solely for those who realize that traffic is backed up and the next few miles over water might be torture. Skip the big guy next door. Stop here instead!

Well, many of the people did cool down, but were extremely DISGUSTED by the way the bathrooms were cleaned. Someone's butt exploded, in the toilet, but the main mess is on the toilet seat. Like a block of melted milk chocolate, but it wasn't chocolate. It was human feces and it had been sitting on the toilet for a while. The thought of taking a picture crossed my mind, but getting out of the bathroom was the bigger priority. The ladies bathroom was apparently just as horrendous as the men's bathroom. Now aside from the bathrooms, this show was well organized and well stocked on supplies. I saw the staff members were short on bodies it seems, but the manager seemed pleasant enough. I have seen one other comment on here right now that talks about the horrid bathrooms. So for the love of heaven and The New York Giants, Clean and recheck the public bathrooms.

They have a few pumps dedicated only to an ethanol grade gas which is different than the other fuel types. This is not a Shell product, but it looks like a regular gas pump. This is okay to run in cars but if you aren't paying attention, you will be pumping something different into your car. This caused lines at the other pumps to get fuel. I don't wait in line to get petrol in the US, so I moved on.

However, the attendant on Tuesday came over and said "why don't you let me do that for you today?" Not only did he pump the gas, he brought my receipt to my window and then proceeded to ASK, did you hear me ASK, if I minded him checking my tire inflation because he thought it looked a bit low. Bottom Line: A brand new 7-Eleven, complete with gas pumps, just a 1/4 mile north of its former location. The 7-11 in Arnold's College Village shopping center faithfully served travelers on northbound Ritchie Highway for decades! As of the end of March, this 7-Eleven has a new and improved home, about 1/4 mile north on Ritchie Highway at Jones Station Road. The new location consists of a brand new store and eight gas pumps. The store was built from the ground up and is probably twice the size as the old location. Everything inside is bright and sparkling. They have the basics like a soda fountain, coffee and ATM machine. I also noticed that this new location has a lot more cases for hot food and a refrigerator with bait. Of course you can count on 7-Eleven for lotto tickets, Slurpees, snacks and bottled beverages too. Unlike the old location, this location has gas pumps - eight of them! They have three grades of gas and pumps #1 and #2 have diesel. This new location is substantially busier than the old location, probably thanks to the excitement of something new in SP, the addition of gas pumps and a better location. It seems like they've definitely added staff to scale with the increased number of customers. Since this location is at an intersection with a stop light, it is more accessible to those traveling on southbound Ritchie Highway than the old location.

We did not go inside the mart, just gas today. We fueled up and the prices were really decent considering the location; $2.29 for regular. The gas station itself was very clean and spotless. Very impressive! It was not crowded either so that was nice.
