Here is a story with a happy ending.
I got married this summer, so I wanted to give my parents a nice wedding portrait for Christmas. I visited my neighbourhood photo and framing store (in Montreal), who told me that they could print wedding photos, no problem. Two weeks later, they finally delivered to me a streaky picture printed by an inkjet on plain paper. By this point, I was up against a mailing deadline so I called my parents in a panic. No problem, they said, they'd put me in touch with the company that had done a great job of restoring my grandfather's 90-year-old and crumbling baby photo. My parents live in the same city and didn't mind going to pick up their gift.
I phoned Extreme Imaging half an hour before the close of business on a Friday and explained my situation. The proprietor talked me through the upload process, then apologized that he probably wouldn't be able to do it before the next day. Nothing to apologize for, sir!
The next morning I got a phone call. He wasn't happy with the way the colours printed based on the image the wedding photographer provided, so he played around with the colours a bit and printed a second set of photos free of charge.
The level of service couldn't have been better, especially in contrast with my neighbourhood store. I am very impressed with the proprietor's commitment to quality, and my parents are very happy with their Christmas gift. read more
