Was that so necessary? As for the rest of the reviewers, i'm glad you all have felt safe and welcomed at this establishment. I've only been here once with a clear conscience and an expectation of being respectful to one another. To the old gentleman, thank you for showing me that you only want to nurture your relationships with your regulars. It has happened a number of times over the years, doesn't matter what time of afternoon or early evening. Latest instance was on Friday, 8/16/24 at 4:10 PM. We had dropped by to get a couple of 16 Mixed Piece buckets, but they were out of chicken so we had to wait about 25 minutes. So, we walked around the store to get our other groceries and then picked up the 2 buckets of freshly fried chicken. Waiting for it wasn't that big of an issue. Just the fact that the cook wasn't scheduled to be there until 5:00 PM, as mentioned by the employees, and they were totally out of chicken with other customers waiting to buy some as well. Anyway, finding other bread, milk, chips and Sodas were no problem at the store. Good experience browsing around and going through the self-checkout process. Parking was fine as well. Safeway needs to do something about hiring more people to work the deli and hot foods corner. Gotta do something about the schedule to make it more convenient for the customers and workers.
