Well-run facility, but their pricing strategy is extremely disappointing and feels dishonest. We started renting a unit in March 2025 at $131 per month. Before signing the contract, we specifically asked how much the rate could increase annually, and we were told it would not go up by more than 5%. However, just three months after signing, our monthly fee increased by more than 60%, bringing it to $211 per month. At the time, we were living out of state and had no choice but to continue paying the higher rate. Now, at the one-year mark, we've been notified that the rate is increasing again by 23%, to $260 per month. This is not a small inflation adjustment -- it feels like taking advantage of customers who cannot quickly remove their belongings. We are very disappointed with these pricing practices. If you're willing to pay more than double your original rate, this facility may work for you. Otherwise, be cautious and fully understand how their pricing structure works before signing. We are now looking for another storage option, which will require us to travel out of state to handle this. read more

every 9 months expect your rates to increase around $30 without warning. it's funny that they continually raise rates even though they offer nothing that should have cost increases. the employees are less than average so you know that's not where the money is going. they aren't updating buildings or increasing lot sizes so the money isn't going to that. the gates are always wonky so you know the money isn't going to that either. in other words they are just greedy swindlers. unfortunately no stars is not an option. but that's what they deserve. BEWARE of Rent Bait & Switch. I rented 3 units naively thinking they would value my business. After 3 months they raised my rent over 80% which they said was due to operating expense increases. I have worked in commercial real estate and know for a fact that this is absolutely false and am very disappointed with ESS for doing this. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! ONLINE RATES ARE BAIT AND SWITCH. Unless you want your rent to double within a few months. The lease allows for unlimited rate increase. Market Rate is impossible to determine. Local office says all rate increases come from Corp office. read more

I hate using storages and this storge is why. They take advantage of people. The prices are outrageous to begin with and then in one year the cost has risen over $100.00. this last one was $60.00. Great experience here. Had a great selection of units and everything here was really clean from the office to the bathroom and even the storage units. Staff was really nice and easy to deal with and very accommodating! Other places I have been have definitely been less then pleasant. Recommend this place to everyone!!! read more

I had the best experience renting from here. I originally had a different storage unit on reservation but they closed before i got there and this was the closest to where we were. I'm glad i came here, Cameron went above and beyond. I came in very close to closing time and they still got me set up so fast and efficiently! I appreciate Cameron and she deserves a raise. AWFUL customer service. Locked out of our storage unit. When we called into see what was going on, no one could explain why. They finally gave us a temporary code and it also did not work. We could not access our storage until and the best they could say is that it must be a "computer" issue and they would put in a help ticket. Don't even consider doing business with this company. read more

The storage unit is easy to access. Also any time I visit the office someone is there to help. The problem I have is that they keep raising the rates. I wish they would keep the rate that we signed up for the unit. They continue to gradual raise the rate and it's better to keep our stuff there and pay the higher cost than to move to a different storage facility. read more

I don't remember at any point in my hour long chat with the manager being told of a rent hike being a common practice. In addition to 'insurance' fees it's just a bit much. Just know, if they realize you're willing to pay for their boxes of air, they will increase the price with no explanation. Bait and switch. It can be deemed for 'maintenance' costs but we all know they're just taking advantage. Word will spread. read more
