The original unit was completely empty, no lock, clearly vacated. I ended up being about 24 hours late in canceling before the next billing cycle, and they charged me for a full additional month anyway. What made it worse was that I received both a bill for the next month and a vacancy notice at the same time, acknowledging the unit was already empty. When I asked about a refund or even a prorated credit, I was told there was nothing they could do. Their reasoning was that they only issue credits to accounts, and since the new unit is under my girlfriend's name, they wouldn't transfer anything over. To add to the frustration, they also shut off my access code despite charging me for that extra month. It felt like policy mattered more than common sense or customer loyalty. After nearly a decade of doing business here, I expected a more reasonable and customer focused response. Also the security gate has been broken for almost a year now and they continue to lie about when its getting fixed.

After checking out other reputable storage locations around the same area of Merrimack, we settled on Synergy because of the high quality of their location, the straightforward and easy set up, and the helpful guidance from the staff. I've interacted with both the owners over multiple visits (apologies I've forgotten your names) but they were both helpful and take their business seriously. I've spoken to at least one employee of theirs as well, and she was just as helpful and very polite/friendly. The climate control meant we didn't have to worry about some valuables or delicate items in storage. The high level of security meant we never worried about anyone trying to tamper or break into our unit. And the professionalism of the business meant we never stressed getting overcharged. Definitely a storage location highly worth your consideration.

All I can say is, God has placed here in that location in Manchester, New Hampshire. Nine grueling years that i made that payment every month, despite numerous tragedies and things that happened...I made it every month b/c of the beloved pictures and writings in there. Nobody ever misses their furniture or old mildewy clothes. But it was the pictures that were are worth more than a million dollars to me. The only thing worth more than a million dollars to me are great and truly compassionate service. Mariela embodies that through who she is and the service she provides. And it was not just me that she provides the amazing service to; It is EVERYONE that walks through the door. She is worlds apart from the service just a few years ago. This review is long overdue; and for that I am sorry. I just want to let Mariela know that if it was not for her and her help while I was going through my unit and letting me use the restroom to wash my hands and being so kind to those coming in to help me, I would not have made it. Mariela is truly loving and sweet and is the consummate people person. She is amazing and I am a better person for having met her. I saw how she treated prospective and new customers and she had the same compassionate service and care with all of them. Public Storage CORPORATE: PLEASE REWARD HER. For Storage, and Moving - FORTIN Storage is the one! We…read moreneeded to move from a condo, to inlaw's, to a new home over a six week peroid. We looked at PODS and Page St. storage. PODS is a common household name and I have friends who have used them. BUT they are pricey and require you to buy their insurance. FORTIN had the right size storage container, 20 foot, which had a place to put two of our own locks and were the only place which allowed us to move the container while it was full! They have a specialized crane truck which lifts the container straight up and down and and side to side. The driver was highly skilled, getting the container on and off between a condo and parking light and then between a bunch of trees and close to our new door. They were easy and fantastic to work with. They also provide storage for $1/day !!! The cost was so much less than PODS when we were done, and they are a local business. When the closing on our house was made, we had about 2 hours notice. We called Fortin to see if they could deliver our container that afternoon... At first they were booked, but when their schedule changed, they called us and let us know they could come. The 20 foot container is very clean and has hardwood floors. They have several versions of container, including one for vehicles, tools, construction sites and also the type for home movers - clean, sealed tight, no animals and no clearing the snow off the top!! We HIGHLY recommend their storage service. For long term or short term, they are far better than PODS.

I asked them about their 1995 rate. I was told it would be that price as long as it was under 100 miles and no more than four hours. I used their vehicle for an hour and a half drove 60 miles filled the vehicle back up with gas when I return the vehicle. They only told me that there was a half a tank of gas and I was charged over $100 when I confronted them about this. He's like there's nothing I can do. He is totally useless. I would look elsewhere.
