I rented a U-Haul truck to move to Temple Terrace about a week ago. The rude lady at the counter…read morecalled me the next morning after I'd dropped the truck off to say that I damaged the truck on the back end and I hit a yellow pole that they matched the paint up with. I said something like what are you talking about? She replied with her manager has it on video and they already let the truck go out earlier that morning and promptly hung up. I was dumbfounded because I didn't even put the truck in reverse. I pulled into their property, wheee my Uber driver, Brittany, was already there waiting on me, dropped the key through the slot and got in Brittany's car and was driven home. After complaining to U-Haul Corporate, they said they would follow up but I haven't heard from them. I still haven't seen the non-existent video. And to top it all off, I had purchased their $28 Safe Move damage waiver. So even if I had done any damage, I would have been covered. And I am not the type of person to lie about my mistakes. I will happily own them. But I do not appreciate someone falsely accusing me of something I didn't do. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Terrible people. Not sure if one of their employees damaged the truck and is trying to hide it under my contract since I had the damage waiver or what. All I know is I didn't damage the vehicle, I still have not seen the video nor been contacted by the manager/operator, Bill, nor heard anything from U-Haul. Please choose another company to help you if you have moving or storage needs. These people are clearly not on the up and up. You've been warned.

Janice is so sweet and friendly. Her and her co worker spent time with me showing me several units that were available and helped pick which would be perfect for me. I was in a bit of a time crunch near the end so she put the lock on for me and I came back to pick the Keys up a lil later. The facility is very clean. My daughter even commented when she walked in about how good it smelled in there. I also had to take a quick restroom break while I was there and it was exceptionally clean, well stocked and smelled great. The only thing worse than moving is being asked to help move someone. That is why when I had to…read moremove last week, I decided to go with moving help via Uhaul. This is where one can prepay for a few hours of moving help and avoid having to ask friends. I do have a disclaimer though. The service, on the surface, sounds inexpensive, but it will get pricey because it will take more than a few hours to pack up the U-Haul truck properly get it to the new location and unpack it properly. With that being said, it will not be nearly as expensive as hiring an actual moving company to move your items. I prepaided through U-Haul's website for 2 hours at $140. However, the actual move itself with some minor packing, loading, Transit time and unload time took roughly five hours. All in all the entire move took about five and a half hours and costed me about $300. The two movers actually worked for Palm Harbor Rentals, so I never even had to drive the truck that I rented through U-Haul. My two movers were Jim and Mark and they were absolutely hilarious, professional, speedy, thorough and all of that good stuff. They kept a very positive attitude and they were very light-hearted, which kept me at ease during what would normally be a stressful event. I would not only recommend using the moving help feature through the U-Haul website, but I would highly recommend selecting Palm Harbor Rentals as the moving agents.

I chose this company because John came to my house to visually see everything that needed to be…read moremoved, and not done virtually. He wrote it all down and gave me an estimate based on that. I asked if the furniture would be reassembled as I had heavy bedroom sets as well as an electric couch & loveseat. I even called a week ahead of time to let them know I would be moving most of the boxes to the new house myself - the quote included 50 boxes -to cut some of my costs, and the new house was just across the street. So after the move I was told that several things were missing from the estimate that John visually saw . 3 area rugs that were already wrapped. a dresser, an end table - all in the garage when John came. a small gate (for my dog). and a few other things that were that were there when John gave the estimate. So now the movers also told me that they had to reassemble the furniture, put area rugs down and then move them til customer (me) was satisfied with their placement! i was told this work was all included in my quote. The boxes that had to be moved were a total of 10 as I moved the rest a head of time. So now they tell me it is the time they charge for and not the number of boxes. Needless to say I was very disappointed as the whole thing felt like a scam!
