Jaxs, was amazing. She was extremely helpful and was patient even though we were not sure what we needed.

They were on time, hard working, and well worth the money. (5 stars if it were just based upon the two movers) The only problem with the move itself was that they gouged my couch and the fabric was damaged when they tried to force it through a door that was too small. They apologized and the company is sending someone out to fix it later in March. They would have been able to come sooner, but I had to book the repair on a weekend. (5 stars for customer service) My biggest problem, and the reason I gave it 3/5 stars is that I chose to book a Penske rental truck through Bellhops for a discounted rate. I felt like the lady who set up the rental truck was very misleading. "You can get a rental truck through us for only appx $30." Not true! There were hidden fees for mileage, and I even had to pay a $150 deposit!!! They added insurance for me at my request at a very low price, and then I found out that the liability insurance was not what I was billed by the truck company. I had to add another $20 for the real liability insurance. (1 star for misleading sales rep)

I contracted American Standard Movers to move my daughter and her family (Nataleigh Mechell and Justin Mechell) from Texas City, Texas to Williston ND. They contacted Ready set go movers LLC to perform the move. They were not the only company I contacted. All seemed legit and OK. I paid a percentage when I set up the move to American Standard Movers and percentage when Ready Set Go Movers LLC picked up the shipment and the balance before it was unloaded (seems flaky but that was all the movers I talked to plan). The scheduling with Ready Set Go Movers LLC was a little rough as they said they would be there and were several days late in ND. The problem came when we did an inventory check and were short 60 + boxes. I tried to contact Ready Set Go Movers LLC with no response so I contacted American Standard Movers. After dealing with the sale person for a week I was told "I am a sale person and can't help, call customer service". I called CS at American Standard Movers and they said "We will look into the situation". I started calling and emailing daily with the same response. Finally I talked to a manager (maybe, maybe not) and they said I had to talk to Ready Set Go Movers LLC. After 5 days Ready Set Go Movers LLC found the rest of the shipment in Colorado on 14 Oct. As of 19 Nov there it still sits. They said I have to wait until another truck goes that way, which could be months. My argument is I paid in full and I still do not have my completed delivery. When I tried to work with American Standard Movers they said I needed to contact Ready Set Go Movers LLC. I contracted with American Standard Movers not Ready Set Go Movers LLC and was told today that I signed a contract with Ready Set Go Movers LLC that supersedes the contract with American Standard Movers. This washes their hands from the shipment even though they found Ready Set Go Movers LLC to do the move. What I signed was a very detailed inventory sheet that I did not get a copy of, but I did take pictures of it to sent to my daughter for checking. I have left messages and emails every day to Ready Set Go Movers LLC with no response since almost the beginning of the loss. Timeline: 13 Sept, credit card deposit to American Standard Movers 26 Sept, cashier's check to RSGM (Pickup) 1 Oct, Items still in OK, no truck available 3 Oct, Items left OK 6 Oct, I was told many unloads and loads in different places 9 Oct, delivery to ND, cashier's check to RSGM (before unload) 29 Nov still waiting for the rest of shipment 2 Dec hiring lawyer

MILITARY FAMILIES BEWARE!!!!!…read more I would give this company no stars if I could. We are an active duty military family that is needing to move on a compassionate reassignment orders. My husband has stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. Because of the pending government shutdown at the time, the military transportation office told us we needed to book our own movers and that it could be put on our GTC. Old Town Van Lines was truly outstanding in customer service at first. Jason whom booked my reservation was so helpful. He quoted our move to include the company packing at $11,000. We signed the contract and paid a deposit of $3,890. The night before the moving company was to come, they then said our move was going to be $20,000 and that was not including the deposit we already paid. So we immediately contacted Old Town Van Lines and when my husband spoke to Lisa she was rude and mean and told us that we were losing our deposit and there was nothing we could do about it. They have since stopped answering our phone calls. We are out $3,890 and my goal is to get this company black listed from being able to work with military families. We are now left scrambling with needing to report to our duty station on October 17th and no way to move our things. This company is nice at first and then ugly and greedy! Please trust the negative comments you read on every review. They try to defend themselves in the response but they know what they are doing. Update: I'm not convinced people leaving good reviews are real people! They could be AI reviews or if they are money is no object to them. But it's a little suspicious that all their good reviews were left on the same day or within 2 days of each other. We completely lost out on the deposit we paid them because they very sneakily word their contracts. We were able to move but again not without losing money. Their Yelp reviews also include what happened to me with other people. I am continuing to pursue them getting black listed from even doing quotes with the Military community. It's truly disgusting what greed has done to America and Old Tan Van Lines is the poster child of corporate greed. If the owners replies to everyone doesn't show the immaturity and lack of professionalism I'm not sure reading this review or any is worth your time. Whatever this body cam is they claim to have is fake but even if it's real I have nothing to hide. We have nothing to hide. How can things be added when no one came to access the house in person? If I can save ONE family from being scammed by this company then I will update my review as much as it takes! Her comment to everyone is a huge red flag

During the move the leg of an antique piece of furniture was completely snapped off and taped back together in hopes of trying to hide the break. (see pics for the condition it was left in after the mover "fixed" it) In attempting to be reimbursed for this damage, as well as a couple missing items, the owner was downright rude and verbally abusive over the phone and gave the name of a claims company who doesn't even work with them to file the claim. The phone is never answered and voicemails are infrequently returned. I have moved many, many times and have never witnessed such unprofessionalism. Avoid this company at all costs, I would give zero stars if possible.

Thunder Moving - Got it done in record time!

    Thunder Moving

    (44 reviews)

I had a very good experience with Thunder Moving…read more I had already gotten quotes from several companies when I messaged Kye on Yelp. I am glad I switched for a few reasons. 1) Some other moving companies charge you from the time their truck leaves their own building to the time they get back to their own building, which makes zero sense. Thunder Moving only charges you for time the guys spend actually moving, down to the minute. 2) Kye responds basically instantly, most of the time within minutes. Communication was flawless, which is of insane importance on days where everything overlaps and needs to happen as smoothly as possible. 3) I told Kye I couldn't match an exact 2:00 PM window because I was closing on my house right at 1:00 PM and didn't know how long it would take. He said it was no problem and that he would let the team know. I happened to close early and messaged Kye and the moving team called me within like 20 minutes. 4) Clayton and Cade were very polite and professional. They had a trustworthy, small business demeanor and at no point did I feel uncomfortable in a series of potentially stressful/vulnerable situations. I immediately told them that I had one item I was worried about, a massive marble table that took me and my friends great effort to move. Clayton and Cade picked it up like a Ritz cracker and said that they could do it no problem. When placing the actual table at the new house, I initially wanted them to put it off-center to fit a side table in the dining room, but Cade said, "Do you want it under the light?" and I thought, "duh, he's right." I'm glad he said something cuz it would be a royal pain in my ass to move it later, even a few feet. Clayton seemed to have the leadership role and asked all the right questions and was very efficient with time and going over paperwork. He started the clock literally the minute they started moving so there was no "bloat" or an inflated price. He even slightly corrected a few minutes we had spent going over some things since the actual moving was done. Overall, he came across very knowledgeable and definitely has leadership potential. Cade was awesome too and super friendly. When I first saw them get out of the truck, I thought "man these guys are string beans," but actually they were super strong. At one point Cade was carrying a million pound object with just his fingers and had a facial expression like he was carrying a piece of paper. From the time the clock started to the time they were done, they were in constant movement. There was no slacking or breaks, not that I would have complained if they needed breaks. I'm just pointing out these two guys were super efficient. They made a plan for every object and communicated well between each other. Anyone who's moved knows that the planning part is the most important when trying to fit weird-shaped things through small doors and they made a great team. It would have taken me and my friends double the amount of time with triple the amount of headache. 5) The ending price was actually cheaper than I expected. There were no hidden fees, literally just the math of the hourly rate times the minutes used. I think maybe there were some minor charges for things like wrap or something, but I either didn't use it or didn't use much. 6) Their Yelp reviews were WAY better than competitors. Even the complaints seem to have the irate customer dying off on responses while Kye is still replying. If you're that mad and have a justifiable reason, I don't see why you wouldn't keep following up both in email and on Yelp. Definitely seems like if Thunder were in the wrong, you wouldn't let them have the last word and just give up. Anyway, obviously I can't speak to their ability to handle disputes, etc. since my experience was seamless, but I've worked in CS/Management for a long time and have dealt with thousands of irate customers. I've never seen a customer who was absolutely in the right just stop responding. If you got the proof, you got the proof, and you aren't going to stop chasing money that you feel is yours. Just my two cents. Anyway, moving is super annoying and I hope I never have to do it again. Even with Thunder doing all the heavy lifting, I'm exhausted and in pain. But if I had to move again I would for sure use Thunder Moving and highly recommend them.

Extremely disappointed with the service we received. Several boxes were clearly labeled "Fragile"…read moreand "Do Not Stack," yet one mover ignored these warnings and stacked heavy boxes on top anyway. He also broke a desk during the move, and we now have to go through the process of getting reimbursed for the damage. He also did not speak English, which made communication very difficult and required us to direct him through each step ourselves, something we hired a moving company to avoid. The only mover who could communicate with us was clearly overwhelmed and, to make matters worse, the mover who could not speak english had headphones in during the move, making it even harder to give directions. Overall, it felt like we were doing the move ourselves despite paying for professional help. I would not recommend this company based on our experience.
