I was told that I needed to make the first 5 payments and after that it could be paid off with no penalty. Ok, great. They said they prefer you set up autopay. I'm on the road a lot and autopay works great for me as well. I get notification from my credit union that they took out their payment. Ok perfect. Less than a week later they took out another one. I paused but chalked it up to an honest mistake. Less than a week later I get a message from the girl in their office saying if I don't make my payment that they're gonna send someone to pick up my container. Flustered, I called them. I explained the situation to the guy that had answered the phone. He said he would have someone call me back but sounded very Skeptical as if he didn't believe me. No worries, I waited for them to call me but instead I get a message from the driver assigned to pick up MY container. I call him back and explain the mistake. He also seemed skeptical but told me either way he'd be back for the container unless his employer told him otherwise. I called a number he gave me to call. A woman answered and said she had to have payment because my account was delinquent or they had to pick up my container. I asked her how many times per month I was required to make the almost $300 payment. She said if I had paid it she would t be calling me for payment. I pulled up exactly what dates they had taken payments from my account. At that time she immediately changed direction, apologized for the mistake and said I was good for 2 months. I asked for an exact payoff but she couldn't tell me. Said she'd call me back with it. Less than a week later we are back in the collection loop. Driver is coming to pick up my container, I'm delinquent and need to pay. I asked again for payoff amount. The lady called me back and said over $6000. I explained that was way more than I'd paid for the entire container. She said with fees and all it would be over 6k. I said I don't think so ma'am. I hung up and made a payment just to be sure. But the calls still persist and the threats of repossession. Made another payment and still the threats keep coming. The owner left me a voicemail and accused me of attempting to steal his container. He said I need to get my stuff out of it and out of the way so they can come pick it up. How many times do I have to pay for it? i Finally told him he was signing up for a rocky road and hard lessons if this was his business model. All of a sudden the threats stopped but the hyperbolic billing keeps coming regardless of how much I pay. I keep waiting for the goons to jump out of the bushes and attempt to assault me but they haven't as of yet. Stay tuned for the ending please. I'll let everyone know how it ends. Thanks. racist storage facility!! absolutely would not recommend any monitories or fellow service members to support this business. The level of racism and disrespect we experienced here was absolutely disgusting . They do not respect or value us as human beings, therefore we should waste any of our hard earned money on this establishment. here's the back story on what happened, if you feel like reading this detailed encounter here at this racist storage facility. ABSOLUTLEY NO STARS DESERVED !! The owner/manager who ever operates this establishment in Midwest city does not deserve to be in business. this was the most rude and racist encounter I've had in my life. myself and my friends were simply trying to retrieve some items for a deployed friend FROM HER STORARGE UNIT . she gave us her her access code and a key to access her belongs. this was our first time visiting this storage center and did not understand how to exit the storage facility, we assumed the gate was automatic and would open for us. however once we got out the car to figure out how to open the gate , the owner began yelling at my friend asking him " what he was doing near the gate " my friend simply said "we are trying to figure of how to get out of here". instead of the owner assisting us ,he began to criminalize us and ask us "what we were doing on his property, and exclaimed that "anyone who rents units from him, should know how to exit his property" . from the very moment he opened his side door, he came as us in a aggressive, hostile manner and condensing tone, treating us like criminals, that do not belong on his property. even though we repeatedly stated that we had retrieved items for a deployed friend. all the owner / manager had to do was calmly explain to us that there was a pen pad located on the left side of the wall (which we just happened to overlook) the same access code we used to enter the gate, we were unaware , that we had to use a pen pad to exit with the same access code ...instead of helping us the owner/manger had preferred to interrogate me and my friend, whom are both minorities .. asking "what we were doing on his property" . instead of trying to render aid like a business professional would , he preferred to argue with us in a hostile tone , and then got offended when i replied back in a hostile manner and then claimed "he felt threat for me talking with my hands". now why would you be treated for me talking with my hands, when you initially opened your side door yelling at us and asking us to what we were doing on your property , as if we didn't have belongings clearly in our cars, that we clearly just finished retrieving . so in actuality we were the ones who felt threatened and criminalized. the owner/ manager eventually decided to just open the gate when my 2 Caucasians friends got out the car to see what the issue was. .. hate to make it a race thing , but this man would not stop making accusations that we did not belong on his property until they got out the car... he then changed his tone completely and opened the gate... had they not been there I'm sure he would have called the cops on myself and my friend especially since he was so treated by me talking with my hands.. he then ended it by saying "get off his property" this could have all been so simply ... he could have simply said pen pad is on your left (SO SIMPLY I KNOW RIGHT) BUT NOPE HE WANTED TO CRIMINALIZE US AND REPEATEDLY ASKED US HOW DID WE GET ON HIS PROPERTY? AND WHAT WE WERE DOING ON HIS PROPERTY?.... AFTER WE TOLD HIM SEVERAL TIMES WHAT WE WERE ON THIS PROPERTY FOR !! I ADIVSE ALL SERVICE MEMEBRS !!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RACIST ESTBALISHMENT !!!! THEY DO NOT VALUE US OR RESPECT US !!! Specifically, I was looking for a storage facility that would accept packages and place them in my unit for me. Disco! (Credit where credit is due: Yelp Intern Chris found this place for us after researching many options.) When we went earlier this week to check it out, Mike, the property manager, could not have been nicer. He mans the front office, lives on the premises and oversees the property at night. The also pay a separate security firm to make nightly patrols of the property. Every morning, they post the security report from the night before on the desk in the office. It's a small but thoughtful touch, especially when you're trying to decide if this is the right place for your things. The front office is spic and span, as are the hallways and units. The hallways and units are cleaned daily, the grounds are maintained weekly, and pests are exterminated monthly. Everything we saw looked perfect, and I felt totally comfortable leaving my things there.

She showed us two units and easily got my daughter a reservation. Everything looked very new, very clean, and the units & doors were in excellent condition. Access was a simple but very secure process. Rockwell Self Storage is in an excellent location, near the Kilpatrick Turnpike. They have several sizes of units. They also have rental spaces for boats and trailers. We highly recommend Rockwell Self Storage!
