    I contacted 3 moving companies and Chose Affordable Moving. They were not the lowest quote but the…read morephone coordinator was very friendly and I felt like choosing their company would be okay. There was a bit of a snafu with their arrival time but when they arrived, they got immediately to work. They loaded and boxed and wrapped furniture, along with packing the big things I couldn't. They were loaded by lunch time, took a lunch break and arrived at my new location ready to go. The second location had steps and they all took turns getting things upstairs. They placed a big cabinet inside the very large closet of one bedroom, which was a great idea and took up less floor space in the bedroom. They were done about 4 hours later. Through the whole process, everyone was cheerful, hard working and thorough. If I ever have to move again, and I pray that I won't, I would choose them again in a heartbeat.

They called me the day before to let me know their plan for picking up the Uboxes and bringing them to my apartment. They showed up early and were already backed up to my gate with the Uboxes open and ready to start loading. They scheduled my move for two hours and finished in one hour! They carefully wrapped all of my furniture in moving blankets and packed my stuff into the boxes so that the next movers, who will be moving me into my new apartment in a new city, won't have any issues. I was so nervous about the moving process and these guys made everything feel so easy and stress-free. They went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

    Lost Over $5,000 Due to This Company!!!!…read more ***Review for atlasmovingcompany.co*** formerly atlasmovingcompany.com, in Utah I hired Atlas Moving Company in December 2025 and the experience cost me over $5,000 in total losses. Here is the breakdown: Initial payment for services: $2,000 (company failed to complete move, didn't finish apartment clean, left behind bedroom furniture) Property destroyed by rat infestation: $2,500 (caused by company storing garbage near my belongings) Key replacement: $300 (company failed to return my car, house and mail keys) Additional storage costs and gauging: Stored my items in unauthorized storage unit, Apex Storage, and failed to obtain my permission to do so. They failed to place my name with Apex, and Apex denied me access to my belongings. The company withheld my property for weeks and I had to file a police report to track down my belongings and get them returned. When they were returned, extensive damage had occurred due to rats attracted by improperly stored garbage. Public records show the company was **dissolved** by the State of Utah during our transaction, and only reinstated after police involvement. The company has been unresponsive to my attempts to resolve this matter. Litigation pending ... warning ... they've branched into Idaho, beware Idaho!! This has been an expensive lesson. I strongly recommend using a different moving company!!!

    I had mixed results with them, but ultimately things worked out. I was quoted four hours plus an…read morehour of travel, but the move ended taking double that--and because I was paying them by the hour I was pretty frustrated. There was also some confusion over "travel fees" vs "fuel fees", but that appeared to be an error on their end. After talking with them on the phone on the day of the move, and then working with them in the week after the move, we were able to agree on a price that was fair, and I feel like it was appropriate. The movers were extremely friendly and polite, and we never had any problems with damage. They treated all our possessions with care. And the corporate people I worked with were eager to make things right.

They pressured me into making a down payment to lock in the rate, and I did, because the estimate seemed reasonable. Well, the move ended up taking all day. From 9 till 5. And the workers seemed to be doing everything to draw out the process. One guy was on his phone with friends multiple times. We overheard another telling the new guy "if a job goes past 3:30, they won't make us do a second." And they were so inefficient! The truck had a ramp and an elevator lift, and they used the lift for every single box. They were taking their sweet time. When we got to my new house the foreman handed me an iPad with the charges, and--before I said anything--told me that if I had any issues with it I should call corporate. And then he sat down and got on his phone. Listen: I get that there are travel charges. But we traveled, one truck, from North Salt Lake to Millcreek--maybe 20 miles. So why was the travel charge more than $500 and an ADDITIONAL fuel charge more than $350? And that's to say nothing of the "packing materials" which we never asked for or were quoted about--another $240. And of course now labor was nine hours, not four. And they wouldn't unload the truck until I paid. They were holding my furniture hostage. Well I paid. But I have been told twice over the phone that they are going to investigate, and it's been ten days of nothing. Do not use this company. Especially not the Utah branch.

    This company has literally attempted to bribe me to take down my previous review. I am sure I am…read morenot the first person. I'd like to emphasize that yes, they did deliver my items within the contracted time that I agreed to (1-31 days), but the way that they have handled everything does not mean that I recommend them or that I would use them again. There are probably other vendors that could do the same service, but I would recommend them as opposed to this particular company. This was the email I got from them: Hello Mrs. Gomez. I was trying to call you for a couple of days now with no success. I'm writing you in regard to your move and the following review you posted about our company. I never knew you had this kind of experience and if I had known about it earlier it would have been resolved. I can offer you a $500 refund towards your move as compensation. If you will be willing to take the review down and not post any other reviews now or in the future. I replied back: Alex, It is so nice to have your direct contact information, for the first time ever. It would have been very useful to have this when I was trying to actually get a hold of you during the course of the move. At no point did you ever give this to me. I fail to see how you have been trying to "call me for a couple days now". Your company has contacted me twice. Both yesterday via phone at 11:39am and 2:17pm. I was busy both times. Your assessment of "a couple days now" is in error. I received a voicemail from "Benny" the first time asking to "speak to [me] about something". That was it. I am not in the habit about returning phone calls to people I have never talked to about "something", so you have to forgive me for not returning the call. I find it shocking that you did not know that I was dissatisfied with your company, as I expressed it several times by phone to you and other employees over the course of the ten days saga when I started to try to get a hold of you, until my items were finally delivered. I also cannot BELIEVE that you were so rude to me on the phone and that you are owning up to absolutely no responsibility for what happened. I am amazed that in this day and age, you don't understand how your lack of customer service and attitude would be consequence-free. I am also appalled that you would dare compromise my integrity by offering me $500 and offering to wire it into my account, like I would give you my account information ever. I am concerned that you have done this to other customers and rather than look inward to reform your practices or especially yourself.     Update: 07/17/14…read more Spoke to the Owner/Manager Alex today in regards to my issues, and he is working very fast to resolve them and make us happy. This includes reimbursement for our lost/damaged items as well as making sure that we were fairly charged. While a few of the people in the office are pretty nice to deal with...this place is a complete nightmare. Lets count the ways that they failed in my cross country move: 1) Double charged my debit card for the initial payment on pickup - a mere $1800. Took 4 days and about 5 phone calls to get credited back to my account. 2) Told me two different totals due on delivery, insisted on me paying the higher amount, despite having a electronic receipt showing the lower amount. Called back 3 days later and said that they "found" the difference (after it was already paid in cash). Still waiting for that credit. 3) Delivery! I was told that it was ok to schedule some services (DirectTV) for 7/8 as my stuff should be there by then. My things arrived on 7/13...and only after I had to pick up the contractor, who's truck broke down a few blocks from my house, drive him to rent a UHaul, and unload my own belongings into the house. 4) Still working through the list, but already missing are a video game console and our large cat treehouse was completely destroyed. None of my items appear to be handled with any care whatsoever.
