I looked to yelp! and saw all the 5 star reviews and gave them a shot, and I'm so glad I did!. The got me scheduled quickly with no problem, and the oil change took exactly as long as they said it would and COST EXACTLY WHAT THEY QUOTED ME OVER THE PHONE. If you've ever gotten an oil change you know how amazing that phrase is, right there. Every time I've gone to a chain store for an oil change it's at least 25-30% higher than the quote or the price on the sign. They also upsell you everything they can and it's intimidating if you hate saying no and you know little about cars. Not here. I got an oil change and an inspection and no upselling whatsoever. I was also told that anytime I need them to check my levels (oil, tires, whatever), to just pop in and they'll do it for free. This was a service the last guys offered and I was worried about missing at a new shop. While I was there I started talking to them and we had a great conversation. I was treated like a PERSON and not just a wallet walking through the door. This was seriously one of the best customer experiences I've had since moving to Columbus. Before we took it to the shop, we got a diagnostic test that read that the cost of repairs could be $3500 and it listed the problems. Dandini send me their diagnostic test and it includes a dead battery. "WHAT??!!? It's a new battery. That can't be possible!!" They take the battery out to charge it and sees that the casing is cracked. They tell me... (PLEASE REMEMBER THIS) this will probably fix your problem. Did you want us to fix the other issues? They didn't try to control my money out of fear. Of course I told them to fix the problems because they were going to need to be fixed eventually and they had the car. I was at the freakin end of my rope and received honesty and professionalism. In today's society this is freaking rare. There was a…read morenumber of things this location did wrong, mainly boiling down to moving too quickly and skipping/missing important steps in the customer service process, but they did work with me on resolving these. They did replace the spark plugs on my car, as they'd replaced them previously and they were under warranty. I did choose to do the ignition coils myself, as I was able to purchase the same OEM parts significantly cheaper (25%) and do the job myself in ten minutes. ORIGINAL: Price gouging and predatory behavior. I've come to Oxford's multiple times before for scheduled maintenance with no issues, but I brought my car (~10yr old Honda, nothing fancy) over after hours urgently, because of an engine misfire and a 'SERVICE IMMEDIATELY' notification. When they opened and checked it in, they sent me an approval form for a $200 diagnostic charge, higher than I've ever had anywhere else, and not waived if you get the repair with them. I called for some clarification, and then a few minutes later found that they had started the diagnostic without getting my approval - apparently Kevin W took my asking a question as implicit approval. Annoying, but I was hoping to go ahead anyway so I let it go. A few hours later, I get another call from Kevin with the results of the diagnostic. I hadn't received an inspection report with details like I usually would have, and he said I needed new spark plugs and ignition coils, quoting me at around $1,100 for this. I can't give the exact value, because I was never sent the estimate, even after I specifically asked for it. I only received the inspection report at that time, but with no estimate or approval request. This is an absolutely absurd cost. I'm by no means a car guy, but this is something I can order all the parts for less than $130, and will only take an hour or so of my time. I have absolutely no idea what the hell they're doing that would make this cost more than $300-$500, at absolute most. Now, if they over-quoted me because they're busy and don't want the work - then just tell me that I'm either going to wait a few days or that I need to take it elsewhere. What this looks like to me is that they tried to take advantage and overcharge someone in a bind, thinking that I'd pay whatever they ask so my car was drivable again. I feel like the lack of a written estimate to look over before sports this. If so, this is predatory behavior from a repair shop, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The long version - I had a bad experience at a different shop where my first call was great but my on site experience was terrible so I decided to call around. Cody answered and really set the tone for a wonderful experience. He was kind and accommodating, but I was still skeptical. So I showed up and was greeted right away even though a handful of people were already in line. As another employee walked by, he also greeted us and let us know it would be just a couple minutes. The place is bright and clean with a very comfy waiting area that includes drinks and snacks. The line moved quickly and Mike was the one who checked me in. He took the time to find out what my concerns were and asked questions to get as much info as possible for the tech. Even with other clients there, Mike gave me his full attention and didn't rush, yet everything was efficient and thorough. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people and that's the vibe I get from the whole team there. I was able to take the shuttle home even though the regular driver was off that day. Curtis (an advisor) filled in and was so friendly. At this point I was still holding on to a little of that skepticism because I've been a service advisor, I've had over 100 vehicles, driven over a million miles, and had work done in at least ten different states at countless shops. I know electrical issues can be difficult and some techs just push them out the door without doing any work. Luckily that's not the case here. I got a call from the technician the same day. He explained what was going on so far, asked a couple questions, and let me know what the plan was. Again, no rushing, just kindness, caring, and good energy. I'm sorry I didn't clarify his name, I heard Muño but I could be way off. Either way, as a customer, he was one of the best technicians I've talked to. I later got a text with the inspection report. It was clear, thorough, and had videos of my vehicle along with pre recorded videos that explained some of the systems and issues. Then I get a call from Mike and we talked about how to prioritize the repairs since I'm on a budget. He didn't try to make me feel bad for not being able to get some of the work done, he didn't change his tone and rush me off the phone. He was compassionate and gave me honest feedback about which things are safety concerns and which ones I can come back for when I'm ready. I am so impressed with the whole team at this location and love the fact that everyone communicates so well. I didn't have to call them once and I was able to text if I did anything. I don't think you'll find a more caring team anywhere. I've had plenty of good advisors, good managers, and decent techs individually, but in 30 years of vehicle ownership, I have not found a place where every single person down the line held the same standard of honesty and kindness. This is now my go to shop for everything and I don't even live nearby! So if you need work, even if you're 20 miles away, this is the place you need to go!!
