Miriam is truly the best! I've been going to her for my microbead/k-tip extensions and couldn't recommend her more. She is incredibly meticulous and talented, and my hair always looks so natural and beautifully blended. The color match, placement, and overall quality are perfect - you would never know I have extensions. She also really takes the time to make sure everything is done properly and that my natural hair stays healthy, which is so important with extensions. Couldn't recommend her enough! read more

I almost hate to share how amazing she is, in case she gets too big to book me :) Look no further. Once you go to this expert in everything, fantastic person, in a great location absolute like doctorate degree hair extensions stylist, you'll never go anywhere else. She's _The One_. Whether you're a first timer, like I was three years ago, or a veteran of hair extensions/etc--look no further, you found her :) And she has Netflix and WiFi :D read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Extensions By MT! Mariam took the time to listen to what I wanted and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. She has an incredible eye for detail, and my hair looks beautiful and natural. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and her work. I'm so happy with the results and would highly recommend her! read more

Mariam is the absolute BEST!! I am new to hair extensions and needed to get them because of some health issues and a tragic bleach accident. When I came to her I was severely thinning/balding and had an undercut and like 3 hairs on my head and looked like Gollum from Lord of the Rings!l, LOL! I also had 5 weddings this year that I was in and didn't want to go to them in my Gollum state. Thanks to Mariam, I now have a FULL head of hair and my confidence has skyrocketed like no other. She made me feel feminine and beautiful all over again! I found her through a recommendation of a friend and what I appreciated about her most was that despite me being new to hair extensions, she didn't try to upsell me and was forthright about the entire process. She also knows I was on a tight budget and really went out of her way to make sure I got my money's worth and didn't have to spend when I didn't need to. Any time I had questions on something or was curious about cost, she took the time to stop and explain it to me without being condescending or confrontational. (I have had lots of hair stylists talk down to me so this was big one in my book) I also ask an annoying amount of questions and she took each of them in stride unphased! We had a consult where we talked about what would be best for me and my hair and the entire time I felt heard and supported. I am now on month 7 of my weft extension journey and I couldn't be happier and more appreciative of Mariam!! She is also super flexible with life and scheduling conflicts when they arise which I appreciate as I have a hectic lifestyle. I am worried that now I cannot live life WITHOUT my extensions !! read more

Mariam was truly wonderful!! This was my first time getting extensions done so I knew I wanted 'the right' person to do them as well as I wanted someone professional, reasonably priced, and their work to speak volumes and MARIAM WAS EXACTLY THAT!!! As soon as I saw Mariam's work online I knew I immediately wanted to book a consultation with her because of how clean the installations looked and the results I saw from the before and after photos. I was immediately sold and said to myself, 'that's the girl!' Her salon itself was cute and colorful! We had the tv going or music playing, we got to know each other since this was my first time booking with her, and she had me in and out in an hour and a half to two hours. She also does cut and colors if the client requests, so we also decided to put that on her schedule for when she and I both get back from traveling and then it's maintenance after that! I am super happy with my first experience and Mariam herself was also warm, kind, and made sure I left extremely happy so there we have it!! Thank you, Mariam!!! I love my new Wefts!!!! read more

If you're in LA, do yourself a favor and go to Mariam. Her technique is flawless, she listens to what you want, and she puts the health of your hair first. When you go to her studio, you're getting a one-on-one service and she goes out of the way for you to feel comfortable and honestly downright spoiled. Cannot say enough good things, so just gonna leave it at: if you want great extensions, this is the stylist to see. read more

I couldn't possibly be happier with my Mariam's service and my hair :) She's so thorough, knows exactly what she's doing and nails it every single time. I'm extremely picky with my hair and hard to please , I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair except Mariam. Her work is flawless and everyone thinks my hair is real ( the best part lol) Mariam is a blessing , don't hesitate even a second to book with her! read more

I am so pleased with how everything went here. I had a haircut I was trying to fix and specifically wanted extensions to help. We set up an initial facetime consultation because our schedules were out of sync to do in person; she gave me a lot of options and went through the pros and cons of each (budget vs. quality etc.). We ended up choosing based on my budget and scheduled an appointment the next week. She did have to push the appointment back but still got me in and stayed late that day so I could have them done before a wedding I had the next morning. I love how they turned out - Miriam even helped smooth out the cut I had so that it blended better and resolved the huge problem I had with the cut in the first place. I will definitely be back. read more

I have been going to Mariam for years and I always say she is not an extension specialist but a true magician!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. I started letting my hair grow out from a pixie cut in 2019 to today when my hair reached mid back length. I wore extensions by MT the entire time (and still do for added volume). Always thought extensions break your hair but extensions done right actually help go through the awkward phases of hair growth. She truly works magic!! read more

I found Extensions By MT through Yelp when searching for Top Rated Salons for Extensions in the LA area. Mariam answered my inquiry right away, and was taken in for consultation the next day. I'm totally new to this being my first time with extensions, so Mariam was considerably patient with my questions, and even tested numerous strand methods to find my liking. I booked an appointment the following week. Her studio space is super comforting - She also has streaming services on TV, so it makes time FLY and the process seamless. Mariam is attentive to detail and always allows your input and throughout the session to maximize the final look. I am in awe of her ability to totally alter my overall hair quality, look, and texture. I'm so in love with the results and looking forward to this feeling ahead with touchups! Mariam is Picasso as I call her! Mariam can match any hair color to any extension color seamlessly and effortlessly with EXTREME attention to detail. She wants to make sure her clients leave happy and would never want her client (me) to leave with any open ended questions or not satisfied. She is a perfectionist and her work speaks to her perfection! Finding a hairstylist who truly understands your vision and possesses the skill to bring it to life is rare, but that's exactly what I found with Mariam at her cute and welcoming salon and energy from the moment I walked in. I felt assured that I was in professional hands. I was worried because I had just moved here from Miami so I was not sure of the service, as previous stylists I went to in Beverly Hills could not even compare to the outstanding skills and detail to attention that Mariam provides! German's are very hard-working and never do anything half ass..Lol Upon arrival, the salon's ambiance was both inviting and professional, setting the stage for a premium service experience. Mariam welcomed me warmly, taking the time to discuss my desires and expectations for my hair extensions. Her expertise was immediately evident, as she recommended the best type of extensions for my hair texture and lifestyle, ensuring a natural look and comfortable wear. The application process itself was meticulously efficient. Mariam not only applied the extensions flawlessly but also educated me on the best practices for maintaining them, emphasizing the importance of proper care to prolong their lifespan. The final result was breathtaking--my hair had never looked so full and vibrant. The extensions blended seamlessly with my natural hair, achieving an effortlessly beautiful look. What sets Mariam apart is not just her technical skill but also her commitment to using high-quality products that are gentle on the hair and scalp. Furthermore, her follow-up care instructions were incredibly helpful, ensuring I could maintain the salon-level look from home! The value of the service provided by Mariam is unparalleled. Not only did I leave with stunning hair, but I also gained a newfound confidence in my appearance. I've received countless compliments and have not hesitated to recommend "Picasso Mariam" to friends or anyone who asks about how beautiful my hair looks. Not to mention no one has ever thought I wear extensions. This is the work of a a true artist and MASTER in her field! read more

So I wanted to give this review after a thorough 3 week wear to really test out my tapes. I mean like really test them out. I went to the gym, I wore my hair up, not styled, everything I would do to my own hair to test them out and this is what I found out. These are the best. I've tried every Itip, weft, keratin tip extension out there. But it was my first time with tapes. Miriam was so sweet to customize them and place them accordingly to my hair type (thin). She colored my hair to match and it's the perfect color I've always wanted a beautiful neutral brown. Even after 3 weeks it hasn't faded orange. She educated me throughout how to maintain them and she really cares. This was the best salon experience I've had. Yes extensions are pricey, but you get what you pay for. Multiple uses and confidence. So it's definitely worth it to me. She has a client for life! read more

First time having extensions and couldn't have picked a better stylist. Love my K-tips. Amazing installation process and results.

I have had numerous extremely amazing experiences with Mariam- she is an expert at all things hair extensions! I couldn't recommend her highly enough- a wonderful, wonderful practitioner of hair, and the salon is beautiful comfortable and friendly! read more

Mariam violated my privacy and caused me extreme emotional distress when she told another client about my medically caused hair loss that I had purposefully not disclosed. She went into extreme detail on my use of toppers, my medical condition, and much more - all without my knowledge or consent. Considering I had disclosed this to her with her assurances of confidentiality, and the extreme courage it took for me to work up to see a stylist at all with this condition, I am extremely distressed and disturbed by her lack of professionalism and ethics. I stopped seeing Mariam a few years ago due to her ever changing prices, draconian cancellation policies and unprofessional wait times -- she regularly left me waiting 45+ minutes to an hour with my appointments. Imagine my shock and dismay to find out upon reconnecting with another client/friend recently when she immediately asked if I was really wearing a wig, and that she had found this out from Mariam who not only (unprompted) disclosed to her my use of hair toppers, but went into explicit detail about my hair loss and my medical condition which caused it! This is a massive violation of my privacy and professional ethics, and quite frankly it is disturbing that she views my personal medical information as gossip-fodder. Shame on you Mariam. I did not share this information for a reason. Your lack of ethics and professionalism is astonishing - what you consider to be gossip I found hurtful and offensive. You violated my trust and behaved in a manner that is not only unprofessional, but cruel. You know who I am and I am waiting for your apology. read more

Mariam is hands down the BEST hair extensions specialist ever. I was referred to her by a close friend & without meeting her in person for a consultation, I texted Mariam an ideal photo of what I wanted and I trusted her to choose the hair for me. I've had hair extensions for 5 years now so Ive dealt with many stylists. I give credit when it's due and Mariam deserves all the praise in the world! She is a perfectionist and her work is worth every penny. I've never had someone meticulously cut each keratin strand before applying it to my hair. She spent about 8-9hrs with me and did not rush. Furthermore, she is kindhearted and sweet. I am beyond grateful to have met her and I will never go to anyone else for my hair. read more

The best way that I can describe Mariam's is to say that she is life changing. Her extensive knowledge of multiple extension techniques is mind blowing. I reached out to Mariam to consult about multiple hair extension techniques, and due to misunderstandings about online scheduling, we got off to a bad start. Mariam reached out to me to make things right and we had a lengthy phone consult as well as one in-person. I was leaning towards tape-in extensions and had loads of questions, all of which she happily answered. Afterwards, I decided to do more research on the technique, as well as hair extensions suppliers. I eventually decided on doing a full braided sew in weave in order to protect my hair from damage as I grow it out. I would have gone with Mariam if she offered that service. And if she does and I'm mistaken, my fault. She's very knowledgeable and I felt like I could trust her with my hair 100%. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for quality extensions. She will guide you and is open to answering all questions and doubts. She also helped me get my scalp all clean and treated made sure I was good before any installation. After doing much research on hair extensions I came across Extensions By MT. I had very bad hair extensions in my hair at the time I went in for a consultation with Mariam. I was scared to commit because I had already spent a fortune on the extensions I had previous gotten somewhere else. Not to mention they were terrible. I took them off by myself and I looked horrible. I remembered how empathetic Mariam had been when I went in to our consultation and I didn't hesitate to message her and set an appointment with her. Best decision I made! She gave me back my confidence and that for me is priceless. Thank you Mariam!! read more

I found Mariam when I needed extensions I got originally done in another country touched up. I thought these were i-tips but apparently they were another kind so Mariam was able to retip all of my extensions and install them as i-tips and I've been coming to her ever since, about a year or so. Her work is excellent and she always goes above and beyond and is always happy to answer any questions I may have about how to better care for my extensions, product recommendations, etc. Her space is also cute and comfortable and she's such a sweet person! It's difficult to find a good stylist when there are so many around. Looking for someone with great prices, quality, and exceptional customer service? It is almost impossible in Hollywood. Mariam was able to fit me in right away, she was gentle with my hair, took on the challenge of removing my extensions even though they were keratin tips (which I did not know can be increasingly difficult to work with), and she's a generally sweet person. I LOVE Mariam! She has been doing my hair extensions for over 6 years. A little late on my yelp review (: Mariam does Absolutely incredible work. She is a magician! I found Mariam on Instagram, and girrrl I'm glad I did! New to LA, I needed my hair done so I did my research for at least 2 months ( this is so important, researching exactly what you need & knowing all the information on your hair type/ color matching & pricing ) it's your hair lol ! One thing going into this is it's a process and it will not be cheap, the cost of the hair + install can be up there. Don't expect anything less if you want the best! I have Ash blonde hair and I decided to go with the Keratin Itips extensions. Or Keratips . I saw that MT not only does keratip, but every other type of extensions you can imagine, she's a total wizz with hair. Pictures of her work, client photos & reviews were nothing short of 5 stars. I made an appointment and she requires a deposit to lock it in. Side note : I LOVE the independent salon, it's literally a mini salon yet feels very comfortable and I seriously ate candy and watched Netflix while my install took 3 hours ! Not complaining at all:) Installation is around 3 hours, we chatted and I found out she's an all around beautician with hair coloring , hair extensions, makeup , styling all under her belt ! I can't wait to see her again for my light pink hair dream. read more

Wish google had 0 star review because this is what this person deserves. I've been a client of her for 2 years and she slowly started doing business with her despicable techniques on hair extensions, not doing it right compared to the first times when she was showing her 'good' skills. She is sneaky in doing business slowly increasing the price over the years and taking advantage of her clients loyalty. First of all, the hair she orders get tangly after a few washes, she forced me to buy her nasty products at the salon with a shampoo of $60 and all her crappy products leaving everytime with $200 in products, scheduling appointment every 3 weeks to re-do roots or threatening that she would then need to do color correction and charge another 800 bucks! She is full of crap and only thinks of her greedy pocket. Very misleading dishonest. She was always gonna be late for appointment and taking all day to do extensions and leave everytime with a bill of 800-900 bucks!! Not to mention her unprpfesssional behavior and attitude during the appointments that you just wantes to leave and not deal with her crap. Hopefully people will wake up and understand how not only she demages the hair, not apply extebsions right that they keep falling and showing under your own hair but also her crazy insanely prices that are a total rip off and not worth it at all. Stay away from her shady techniques read more

Just had my first appointment today with Mariam, she was great! I got some tape-ins put in that I had used before but the person who installed them did so in a way that hurt and they felt heavy; I didn't have this issue with Mariam! The extensions look great and I can't even feel them! read more

She is the best! I originally went to her to fix my old extensions because the previous hair designer installed the hair in random places and they all ended up falling out. Mariam fixed all the pieces and not a single piece came out or slipped down for months. She knows what she's doing when it comes to extensions. I have the individual extensions, but she knows how to do all kinds--Halo, tape ins, clips ins etc. I haven't had her color my hair yet, but I've seen the work she does on others and it always looks phenomenal. Her prices are reasonable and she always tries to find a way to make it work within my budget. I definitely will never go to anyone else for my extensions. If you're looking for extensions I highly recommend you go to her. read more

I have been seeing Mariam for a few months now. TLDR: Mariam is amazing, she will listen, be patient, and is PASSIONATE. Do not hesitate to put yourself in her hands. A true professional. She makes you coffee and lets you find your salon-home in her private studio at Salon Republic. She will even give you a blanket if you're cold. Her extensions are TOP QUALITY. Just tell her what you need. Long love letter about Mariam: First appointment was October 2018, It is now February 2019 She is no-pressure; absolutely respects my hair decisions, even when I wanted to take a break from extensions. I started seeing her because I had a bad experience at another salon in SaMo and needed a new hair lady. Mariam pushed up my extensions and then at my next appt I ended up taking them out for a few weeks. When I told her I needed a break she took them out, toned my hair to a lovely brown and let me go. After a few weeks, I was back!! I was ready to try extensions again. I told her I did not want to cut my hair (my last lady basically forced me to everytime and my hair was so thin and short). Mariam said "ok" no problem! Now my hair is growing out nicely. Mariam went above and beyond to find me rare hair extensions that match my thick but VERY fine dark hair. Not an easy task. She even Facetimed me when she was looking for them!! Mariam is very passionate about this craft and it shows. Then I decided I wanted purple and blue hair- which I have NEVER done. I am usually pretty conservative but I always wanted colored hair!!! So she mixed in my rare dark extensions with some lighter extensions which she hand dyed purple and blue (see photo). On top of that, she toned my own hair a beautiful 3N and always does Olaplex treatment on me. She is so easy to get along with, and that's important when your hair appointment is 2-6 hours. She also has Roku so you can just chill and watch Netflix if you prefer to not talk. I love talking to Mariam though, I actually consider her a friend at this point! Only tough thing for me is going all the way to H-wood but its worth the hour drive because I feel that I am my BEST self getting hair treatments and extensions with Extensions by MT. read more
