Brand new building. Clean, AC. But absolutely nothing in the kitchen - not a spoon, cup, bowl, plate. Not a coffee maker. Not a kitchen towel, dish soap. Nada. A phone call to the desk resulted in "Come down and get it." Sure enough, we were given a big plastic tote with a coffee maker, plates, drinking glasses, a plastic dishrack, cereal bowls and a colander. No coffee cups. No soap. No kitchen towel. And "sorry we don't have any cream and sugar." Period. Not "we're out" but "our shift doesn't have the key to that cupboard." Period. No effort to call a manager or otherwise provide. The ads say "A kitchen stocked with kitchen things" and "Fully equipped hotel kitchens" but the front desk person said these items are "only available by request." THIS IS NOT STATED ANYWHERE ON THE EXTENDED STAY AMERICA WEBSITES. And still no coffee cups. AND WE HAD TO HAUL THE TOTE UP OURSELVES. I've never, ever stayed in an extended stay hotel that was so cheap and so NOT what it advertises itself to be. It's like advertising that the room has a shower but not providing towels. We are paying for amenities that are being withheld. DO NOT STAY HERE. read more
