I have never stayed at a Quality Inn before in my life and I didn't know what to expect. I was solely going off of the positive reviews on Yelp, Google and the affordable pricing for this booking. And I wasn't disappointed! Initially walking in and seeing all the taxidermy was a bit alarming considering I'm a vegan, but looking passed that and opting out of eating breakfast the following morning saved me. Service was okay; the chick at the front desk has trouble with understanding spoken words and I had to repeat myself six times to her, but luckily her coworker was nearby to help her out. The room was spacious with two beds, a mini fridge, a huge television, and icy cold air. I got two beds since a friend (ex friend now) was supposed to stay with me, but she decided against it. I guess she wanted to stay in another cramped hostel, oh well more comfort for me. The beds slept very comfortable and the pillows were soft. The television was the star of the show and I kept it on all night to avoid what happened to me last time. I'm glad I did that because I discovered a new movie, X. I got to watch Lord of the Rings too and another movie that is a psychological thriller (I can't remember the name of it). The bathroom was very clean, but small tub. I didn't care because the water was hot and felt good on my skin after that extreme hike I did to Delta Lake in Grand Tetons. I don't know how safe the area is usually, but this one night stay; I felt safe and the rental car wasn't broken into or stolen. Oh and this hotel is less than 10 minutes away from the airport. I wasn't late with returning the rental car and still got to TSA checkpoint on time. This is a real steal!! read more

Heads up - front desk will tell you to check with the person in the morning if you try to cancel a next day stay because they "didn't want to mess it up, and morning staff would know how to do it" and then when you speak to the morning staff after having a breakfast that is less than appeasing- front staff will tell you cancellation needs to be done 24hrs in advance. Which would have been when we spoke to the night person. Only reason this place was given any stars was location to Bozeman airport and it being decently clean. read more

Most important was the place was very clean and comfy. They also have 24/7 coffee and a good breakfast buffet style. They have a Mexican restaurant 100 yards from the hotel and some one arm bandits to take up your time while you wait for takeout if you like. Robert checked us in quickly and was very friendly. They also have a private shuttle to and from the airport which is awesome! It's a family owned and operated business. I'll be back for sure! read more

I was so grateful to be able to book an affordable, last-minute, 2 day stay here. The employees are all fantastic. Rich, in particular, was so friendly, and always went out of his way to make sure everyone (from the guests to his coworkers) was well taken care of. It was nice to see the camaraderie of a healthy work environment. I love their complimentary airport shuttle, and the driver is so kind and professional. It is an older place, but the rooms are clean and well-appointed. They also really consider traveler needs and are ready for whatever anyone might need. The place and the parking are very safe, and you can park your car there longer-term if you need to (which is especially helpful as the airport parking is increasingly full with rising prices). Front staff was very friendly upon arrival and was clear with next steps to the room. Also discussed breakfast in the morning. They have a 'basic' setup at 4am for those taking early flights and then the full breakfast comes out at 6am. Nice they think about that. The hotel itself is older but every attempt has been made to keep it clean both in the public areas and in the rooms. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but if you're looking to lay your head down for the night does it really matter that much? The most important part was the bed. It was very comfortable and my wife and both loved the pillows. The only complaint is that we couldn't get hot water in the shower. Just luke warm. Ultimately we got a good nights rest at a decent price. read more

Despite the business owner writeup here on Yelp -- this isn't a Holiday Inn Express. It doesn't matter though, it's a reasonably priced, clean hotel with a working wi-fi for someone who won't be spending a lot of time in the hotel. And in this part of the country, who would? The amenities aren't outstanding, but basic; however, there's enough stores nearby to stock up on what you need. It's close to the airport, has a better than average breakfast, and friendly staff. It's not the quietest hotel I've been in, but the a/c in the room does block out quite a bit of the hallway noise if you're a light sleeper. The thermostat in touchy and sometimes the batteries seem to run low every other day, but maintenance is quick to get it repaired. The breakfast is probably one of the outstanding things. It has a large selection of hot and cold items, with at least 3 or 4 different types of egg dishes available. There's no way you won't find something to your liking. My friends who stayed at nearby hotels hated stopping to pick me up in the morning because the smell of bacon drove them nuts when their hotel's standard, but measly by comparison, offering was a simple continental breakfast. The one thing that is a bit weird: if housekeeping sees you leaving your room in the morning, he or she will ask if you're checking out or leaving for the day. I know they probably want to get into your room, clean it, and leave for the day or another job, but it's pretty annoying and makes you feel like you're being rushed out the door. Even more frustrating is that they're really nice about it so you feel guilty for being annoyed. read more

My wife and I stayed here the evening of June 21st. For an economy hotel, this place is as good as it gets. Let's start with breakfast. These people know how to do it right. Everything is wonderful, with a huge variety. If corporate ever needed to find a trainer, on how to do breakfast right. They need to look to the person that runs this show. Stay away from this hotel at all costs! During a recent stay with them we had an issue with one of our rooms which turned into a gigantic fiasco - the worst customer service we have EVER EXPERIENCED from the management and staff. We had planned to stay with Quality Inn for 3 nights/4 days. After the first night, we woke up and found bed bugs under one of the pillow cases. Aside from being disgusted, we were concerned the bed bugs would get into our belongings, which prompted us to bring the issue up to the front desk. When we approached the front desk about the issue, we were cut off from speaking mid-sentence, were told that we must have brought the bed bugs there, and were told they were going to check us out on the spot (essentially kicking us out of the hotel without giving any other options). We were absolutely dumbfounded at their rude response. We went to desk to quietly bring light to a potential issue and were met with the most rude responses. We did not want to make a scene, and were quiet as to not alarm other patrons of the hotel, but Mike, the 'manager', raised his voice and continued speaking over us. There was no reasoning with him. My team scoured all their belongings and did not find any bed bugs - there's no way we could have brought them there. We looked in every nook and cranny, including our persons. Mike stated that they have a powder on the beds that kill bed bugs on the spot, but somehow it didn't kill the ones we found. Must not work that great since the bed bugs we found were still alive (which I have pictures of). The hotel staff said they 'didn't find any bed bugs' after we had left, and said that we were just trying to get our money back, even though we never mentioned/asked for any refund at any point and was only asking to be moved to a different room. Not once did we request any refund for the night we had already stayed - we simply asked to get a different room - that's it! When I tried to address the issue over the phone with Mike he continually cut me off, raised his voice, talked over me, and would hang up on me. Completely unprofessional, especially for a 'manager' at a hotel. When I tried to call him back, he started yelling at me, cutting me off every time I started talking (and would say 'well, how does it feel to be interrupted?'), told me I was just trying to get my money back, and would just hang up on me when I was mid-sentence. When I said on the phone I was going to voice my opinion in a review about the hotel Mike said, 'I too will be going to your website to let people know about your company.' Is that how a manager of a service industry company should treat their customers? I surely would not treat ANY customer of mine the way he treated me and my team. I wasn't expecting him to beg me to return to their hotel, nor was I trying to get a refund (which I never once asked for/mentioned a refund). The intent of the phone call was to straighten out the situation and address my concerns about having found bed bugs on one of the beds, but with how Mike treated me over the phone/my team at the front desk, we will never consider staying there again. Again, all I wanted was to sort this issue out so we could continue using their hotel for future stays, as we had stayed with them numerous times over the last few months and wanted to use them again in the future. In an email response to one of my team members, the assistant manager, Kristen, showed the same disregard for our concerns and said I 'kept harassing Mike'. Apparently, bringing up concerns about bed bugs to the manager of the hotel is harassment (he never said to stop calling/emailing him). I ended up getting a room (one without bed bugs) at a different hotel for the rest of the trip and were glad to be out of that toxic environment. I was happy to spend twice the money per night at the new hotel to not have to deal with Mike and the bed bug issue I had at Quality Inn. From now on I will never stay at a Quality Inn, as it's apparent the management does not care about their patron's concerns. It would have been one thing if they were receptive (to any degree) to the issue, but every employee of the hotel we tried to talk to about the issue had the same rude accusational response. Hands down the WORST SERVICE I have ever encountered in my whole professional life. I normally do not like to complain or leave negative reviews, as I like to avoid confrontation, but felt the need to share my experience at Quality Inn so others do not have to go through what we went through. I wouldn't have even wrote a review for just the bed bugs, as it could have just been an isolated incident, but the response from management made me feel like this is a problem they encounter more than how they were representing this issue. The hotel staff and breakfast were great. Every question or issue that we had they went out of their way to resolve them. The breakfast was great with a good variety of hot and cold food. My son checked in to the Quality Inn August 4th and was going to fly out from Bozeman in the morning. He ended up going to the ER and had emergency surgery overnight. My husband and I left Yellowstone to come see him and stopped by the hotel early in the morning to ask for a room later in the day. After seeing him in the hospital we all chose to move to a closer hotel for the remainder of the day and evening. When we came back to Quality Inn they said that we would be charged $190 for cancelling a room without 24 hour notice. We were never informed of this policy two hours before. In essence we were being charged for a room that we had only reserved two hours before and couldn't even check in to until one became available later in the day. Quality Inn did decide not to charge my son for his room for the second night as he was now in the hospital. My other son called from Texas to complain and get clarification as I was busy dealing with my grand kids and sick child. The owner of Quality told him that not only was she going to charge me for my room, but she was now charging my hospitalized son as well because neither of us had given 24 hours notice and my son was now calling to complain. He was astounded and asked if she was simply threatening us and she stated that it wasn't a threat at all. She owned the hotel and could do anything she wanted to. He immediately asked for a corporate number to which she replied, I am independently owned. You can try and look up a number yourself. My son from Texas did eventually get in touch with Choice Hotels. They were able to confirm that she would not charge my hospitalized son for the room but that she had every right to charge me for a room that was only held for a few hours. They could do nothing further. I was never informed of this policy when I first stopped by the hotel on the way to the hospital. I never even signed anything. I only presented a credit card and asked for a room later in the day when one was available. I feel that it is unfair to charge someone for a room that was only held for a few hours when they had all days notice to resell. In addition, to stoop to the level of informing us that we would be charged another $190 for simply calling to complain is retaliation and criminal in my opinion. The Choice Hotels operator did inform us that they could do nothing more for us and hoped that we could see past this incident and use them in the future. I for one will never use any Choice Hotel again seeing as how they are at the mercy of individual owners. read more

The front desk manager wasn't there when I got there at 12:30am. After a few minutes, I started looking around for him and a few minutes after that started calling for someone to come check me in. He stormed out of the bathroom a few minutes later screaming and cursing at me that I should have been more patient. Maybe I should have, but it was late and a hotel should have enough staff to cover the front desk. After being yelled at, I felt unsafe sleeping at the hotel and unwelcome and asked for a refund but was refused. I left anyway to stay at one of the many other hotels nearby and really recommend you do the same. If you want quiet, clean and affordable, with a free breakfast thrown in, stop at the Quality Inn, Belgrade, MT. The place is easily accessible from I-90 and quiet as well. Their breakfast is good. I bellied up to the bar around 8:00 am each morning, as most of their patrons will partake in the free brekkie. You can't beat the place for quiet and cleanliness. I was really impressed! This is were my company has us stay, but I would stay here even if I had to pay. This particular location is always very clean. I have never had a issue with anything beside the fact you only get 2 towles. The breakfast is good for a hotel, but doesn't open until 6:30. The WiFi is free and so is the breakfast which is not always the case, especially being so close to Yellowstone. The people that work here are great. The staff is Always very friendly and willing to help. This place can get very busy and sell out fast because of being so close to Yellowstone. read more

After reading various reviews, I booked this hotel for one night. If NOISE bothers you, do not stay here. My room was on the first floor, and you can hear the water running from the rooms around you. Sink, tub, it sounds like someone is using the water in your room. When I spoke to the front staff about it the next morning, he yelled at me. yes, he yelled at me. I didn't engage, and I asked him to stop getting angry. He indicated it was my fault that I didn't complain. Are they going to call the other client and tell him to turn off using their water? At 10pm at night? I realized this is a low-budget hotel when I rented the room. But to have the front desk yell at me? Ah, not good. read more

The Quality Inn nicely distinguishes between "inexpensive" and "cheap". You get what you pay for, and there are few amenities. But the room was clean and quiet. We had a king sized bed and free wifi. Had a flight get cancelled from Bozeman. Went looking for a hotel to spend the night. Went into here. Oh boy, I hate it when people speak in "hyperbole" to justfify whatever. Employee behind the desk wanted photo ID. I showed my passport. Employee looked at it for awhile and I think started to enter the document number in their system. Then the employee said, "do you have anything with your address on it?" I said, "yes, I do, but I will not permit you to write down the document number or enter it into your system. (I'm from a state that has a high occurrence of identity theft, I do not permit my D/L number to be entered into a computer system unnecessarily). Then, another older employee (or maybe she was a manager) said, "BY LAW we have to ask for it." I knew this was utter BS and was the start of "hyperbole." There is no law that specifically MANDATES them to "require" this. I showed my passport, there was no need for me to show any other photo ID. And I stated thus to this "other" employee. The "other" employee then said, "Well, legally we can ask....." And I repled, "yes, by 'legally' you mean there is no law preventing you from asking." Then I got the "it's for your protection" argument. (my experience is when someone uses that argument is complete BS and it's more about protecting THEM then to protect me....) I then said, "Well, I have an issue with you claiming "By LAW" when there is no real "law." And everything went downhill from there, and I walked out. My big issue was the use of the term "BY LAW" (implying a legal mandate) when there was NO real "law." They were "weasle wording" and using hyperbole Basically there is no law preventing them from trying to require certain things. But there is no legal "mandate" either. Thus the "hyperbole." I do not like it when people "weasle word" or use hyperbole to imply that something is legally mandated as a justificaiton for whatever, when there really is no law..... Ended up going to a different hotel where this issue didn't even come up. read more

Very good value for the price. Stay was before Labor Day 2016. However, my purpose is to cite the positive behavior of a staff person (Persephone), who comforted the small children of a very harried couple checking in across the hall from my wife and I. Persephone maintained calm among the children, reading to them as their mother abruptly left in the room to collect baggage and look for the missing husband. Persephone kept the children in the room and entertained while keeping the room door open. I talked to Persephone later that evening about the incident; she told me her reasons for her actions (child safety and propriety). You could not ask for a more selfless act from an employee. And, yes, we would stay there again. read more

Wake up call to my wife ? in her dreams ? Your front desk clearly said they forgot to add the reminder in the records. You knocked on the door after I came down to complain about the miss in wake up. You don't have to tell me when I should get up if my travel is 15min or 1.5 hrs on the other hand try being professional to own up your mistake instead of showing your "quality" of your "Quality Inn" staffs.As for your breakfast, I hope atleast you enjoyed eating it because that's the only thing you do out there. Stayed two nights and loved it. For the cost, there isn't a better hotel in the Bozeman/Belgrade area. The bed was comfortable, the rooms are nice and modern. Hot water was hard to come by in my room but my co-worker in another room had no issues with his. The breakfast was outstanding. Many different egg dishes, bacon & sausage, juices, waffles, etc. Its the best I've had in a medium price ranged hotel and I stay in hotels almost half the year. The only wish they had Greek yogurt options. The staff was also outstanding. Overall a great stay and I look forward to my return read more

My wife and I bicycled through Belgrade on a cross-country tour last year. We arrived here to an extremely cordial and helpful attendant, who went out of her way to produce and print out a map for us to get through the Bozeman area. The cozy room was clean and the bed comfortable. Upon entering the room, we found a warm note on our bed that encouraged us greatly. Overall, the friendliness and warmth of this reasonably-priced motel made it one of the better stops across the country. read more

This place was fantastic. The staff went the extra mile for me and my family and were extrememly friendly. Ive stayed at $500.00 a night hotels and never felt as good as I did here, beds were soft, everything was new and clean. Highly recommend this place to stay on your way through Montana or if your headed into Yellowstone to the south. read more

Good place. It was exactly what you expect to find with a Quality Inn. Clean, reasonably priced, good choice of alternatives at their free breakfast. In my case, I inadvertently stayed pat my check out date. I was unfortunately unreachable in the back woods of Montana. The staff extended my stay by one day automatically and made the entire process easy for me. Their professionalism was greatly appreciated. Great place to stay on your last night or first night going into Yellowstone. It was our last and we had to drop off our car at the airport that night. They picked us up at the airport once we'd dropped off the car and it was around 9pm. Very clean rooms, super comfortable bed and linens, great a/c, and the breakfast was the best we'd had on our whole vacation. Very important note: (hopefully will get this message to the owner?)... PLEASE think more environmentally! The entire breakfast was served on styromfoam plates and cups. This is simply not acceptable in 2014! Montana is a beautiful state in our USA, and in today's world, a hotel such as this, should be serving on paper or china, or wood, metal, whatever! Not petroleum derivative materials that are NOT biodegradable. Step it up! Get with the Green Machine and buy a dishwasher and offer your patrons a nice cup of coffee in a real mug and plates made of something that can be washed and used again. It's shameful to be throwing so much trash away EVERY MORNING! Hope things change. I would have given 5 stars except for the terrible way the breakfast is served.
