I've eaten here about 5 times and everytime is as good as the last. The bacon smash burger is my favorite and has lots of flavor, the fries are so good aswell and they load you up. You can't beat the price either for a real burger, you'd spend $20+ anywhere else for a burger this good. I'd definitely recommend trying them out.

It is located at the intersection of KGB road and Clapp RD in a large parking lot next to a larger green building selling AK Happy Weed. I am giving these detailed instructions because it seats back from the road and can be easy missed. I had the Loaded Chessesteak #2 sandwich for dinner. The bread was soft, fresh and held the many layers of ingredients. Seasoned Rib Eye Steak slices, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, provolone cheese and I added jalapeños. The rib eye was flavorful and tender. Seasoned well and abundant. The other ingredients were excellent and the cheese melted. I enjoyed this sandwich and will have it again. I also picked up a #8 Daniello's Sub for my love. It is served on a fresh baked roll, Genoa Salami, spicy Capicola ham, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and aside of Italian Dressing. All the sauces for the sandwiches are served on the side and is an excellent alternative as they have only pickup and takeout sandwiches, fries and drinks. No on sight eating unless it is your vehicle. The menu has two headings for sandwiches. The first labeled Cheesesteaks and the second Italian Grinders. Grinders is a regional term for Subs, Hoagies and similar sandwiches in different regions of the U.S. and World. They have seven number Cheesesteak choices and 7 Grinder choices that includes the popular Smash Burger. In addition the sides are very interesting starting with 2 sizes of Hand-cut French Fries baskets plus 3 loaded Fries choices , the #15 Cheesesteak Fry with Steak or Chicken, onions and homemade Cheese Whiz, #16 the Soprano Fry topped with rib eye steak, capicola Ham and mozzarella cheese. Served with side of red sauce. The last is a tribute to our hopeful 51st State the Oh Canada (Poutine) Fresh cut fries topped with cheese Curds and beef gravy. They offer several soft drinks, bottled water and freshly baked cookies. A photo of the menu is provided so you can call in your order for pickup or delivery. Phone number 1-907-671-0288. Open most days from 10AM to 9PM. The sandwich's are made to order when you arrive. I would recommend this location for anyone desiring an excellent sandwich and fresh fries for lunch or dinner.

The food: Portions are huge, the burgers are great, Mac n cheese isn't too shabby either. REALLY good fries. I hear they cut their own steaks in house but personally I haven't ordered one, the picture below was a friends and kinda tough. If you like an adult beverage, they've got a well stocked bar with local beers and a decent whiskey selection The French Onion Soup was really good. I've had worse and haven't had much better I didn't care for seared tuna but appreciated the creative liberty with the sauce Here's the real deal.....I like this place. The food isn't going to win a Michelin Star but you can tell the Kitchen is invested in the craft. The restaurant is relaxed, casual, and the people are super friendly. If you're in business attire just leaving work or bibs and boots leaving the river....this place is for you.

So I did exactly that -- nothing out of line. Suddenly, a worker that I'm familiar with named Joe , cussed me out, and kicked me out in front of everyone. Totally unprofessional and uncalled for. I wasn't being rude, I wasn't causing problems -- just following what I'd been told on previous visits. This review is not the for the restaurant itself but more for the specific worker that I've had a multiple issues with before.

First visit after Covid Lockdown and remodel of this Subway in Wasilla, AK. Used to be occasional…read morecustomer for many years. Like many Restaurants today prices have increased. You be the judge of the value. The Interior is brighter a more attractive. Nicely decorated and better organized. The parking lot is in front of a busy highway (Parks). The restaurant has the same five wood steps up with a wrought iron railing on each side. Parking is free and sufficient unless you are driving more than one large tour bus. I didn't see a handicapped entrance but will correct it if they have one. Nothing in this review is intended to be negative to this particular business location or Subway in general. I and my family have been frequent customers for longer than I can remember but I believe almost 50 years. I am 79 and as long as I can remember there has been a subway in my life. For many years they were the major if not only on the East Coast. Today we have many excellent choices to choose from and some are regional only. Now to the "Meat" pun intended of this review. Since covid more than the prices have changed at Subway. The menu has changed and has more choices. It was harder to read for this senior 78 with glasses. But it is better organized with bold numbers, catchy names, and better pictures. The individual contents and prices of the sandwiches were what was hard for me to read. I ordered the "Beast", leg 12", with Parmesan-Jalapeno Bread, toasted with all the vegetables, except Guacamole. I made it a meal with a large fountain drink, and "Miss Vickie's" Jalapeno Chip" I added Oregano, Salt, Black Pepper, and the MVP Parmesan Vinaigrette sauce. The sandwich featured Pepperoni, Salami, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, and my choice of PeperJack Cheese. Seeing my taste preferences? The ingredients were ample with good portions of double meat. The vegetables were fresh, clean, and favorable. The meat tasted excellent with the flavors of the Pepperoni, Salami, and Roast Beef standing out over the Ham, and Turkey. Not a bad thing as I still taste the others. The bread was fresh, toasted lightly with the cheese melted nicely, and the meat warm. The Chips were fresh, and crispy, with a strong flavor of Jalapeno. I choose the Aquia Berry XXX Vitamin Water which was strongly flavored, delicious, and healthy with low calories. The was overall excellent, much better than I remember. The bread was more flavorful and crusty. They have more flavors now. I normally order double meat and it appeared to be equal to before except for the more than double price, $7.50 vs $3.00 on a 12" Sub. The overall price of all the subs has increased but is not excessive. The young lady who waited on me was patient, friendly, efficient, and attentive to my desire for ingredients and excellent at her duties of making an outstanding Sub. This renewed design of Subway I believe will give their competitors a run in competition. It is good for groups, families, seniors, and the military. It has seating for over 30, is clean with bathrooms for customers. If you haven't tried Subway since the end of the Covid lockdown I urge you to give it a try.

Now for the sandwich, a foot long I guess gets 12 slices of meat. Ok, add bacon that's 2 strips per 6 inches. Fine, but what killed me was the 4 tomato slices, six pickles, and five onions I received. I also overheard the manager telling the other employees to go easy on the lettuce. Come on, it's lettuce. So, with a bottled drink and $1.50 tip. It was over $16. Yikes! But what has me concerned is my stomach about two hours after eating! I have an iron stomach by the way, and the same intestinal distress came with my sandwich from the Palmer location last week too. Both were turkey and bacon, so who knows. And today that was the only food I had eaten, so the chance of it being dinner last night was slim.

The Manager and Assistant Manager at this location are HORRIBLE! They treat their staff employees like absolute garbage. They openly bully them, tell them to shut up, don't work with staff requests, unless your related to the manager, and if someone has to call in sick for a shift due to STREP or COVID - they refuse to pick up their phones, and refuse to respond to texts. Do Not let your young daughters apply to work here either. On more than 5 occasions in 2 1/2 years my kid worked here, homeless people came in; OD'd in the bathrooms, exposed them self to staff, and threatened to rape the girls. Police response times are slower than parental response times to this location. Nothing was ever done to better prepare the staff for the recurring issues with homeless in the area. When challenges were taken to corporate by employees with their parents for resolution - they were ignored - parents are told - You can leave your number- "Maybe Al, the owner will call you back." Al never calls concerned parents back about bullying, safety, or anything else. The current manager is passive aggressive and doesn't deal with any type of criticism or reports or concern seriously. He has time to talk crap about his employees openly in the store, to other staff, but not directly to them, and promises raises but can't be bothered to submit the paperwork for more than 8 months. Seriously - go somewhere and have a sandwich made where the employees are treated well - and the management and leadership Do Not Suck! You'll be happy you did. I really wish allowed people the option to give NO STARS or NEGATIVE STARS. The one star rating is for the poor employees still working there putting up with a crap management team!
