I would never recommend Lauren Evers or this shop after my experience.
Appallingly unprofessional. All she did was waste my time and scam me out of a deposit payment.
No artist worth their salt would ever wait until *3 days before* an all day tattoo appointment for a fairly large custom piece to show a first draft of the drawing. (Big red flag!) I booked in advance, was assured we would meet for revisions, and periodically checked in via email leading up to the date. The daft needed a lot of work which we agreed on, but I felt uneasy since there was so little time left. I did not hear from Lauren again until she emailed me *the night before* our appointment. She could not possibly have left it more to the last minute. (Red flags) Her drawings were anatomically incorrect, lacked detail, looked very rushed (more red flags), and did not have things I thought we had agreed on like giving the animal some bone structure. Wanting to work this out, I sent a drawing that showed the structure and details that were more of what I had in mind, and asked her if she could use elements from it. She agreed to that, and we agreed to keep the appointment. However what she had the next day at the appointment did not resemble the drawing I sent in any way, or what we had discussed in person or via email. It was a heavy handed sloppy outline that looked like it took two minutes and nothing more. It was like a bad joke!
I don't know why she even kept my appointment that day since it was clear she had no intention of doing a tattoo. She did not greet me, or show me her shockingly bad sketch until *after I had signed paperwork* with the girl behind the counter. I even had a drawing I worked on myself to bring just in case since I wasn't feeling very reassured by her last minute messaging, but she wouldn't even look at it. (Seriously sketchy! ALLLLL the red flags!)
No self respecting artist should be so lacking in skill or ethics they treat clients this way. If you are looking for a professional who takes their commitments seriously, definitely look elsewhere. read more
