First red flag was that both appointments where incorrectly booked and they had to contact me each time with new appointment dates/times. The first session I was charged $300 while the next time I was charged $150. This was because the first person beleived it was over the $150 size but when I had the second session i was charged $150 as they beleived it was the small size. I queried with the girls at reception why I was charged two different amounts but they could not answer why and was not willing to look into it. At my second session I asked to see the before photo which was taken and was advised she could not locate it and then checked with reception, they also could not locate it and said to contact them in a few weeks after someone returns from leave. I rang and emailled them about the before photo and they did not get back to me. Since I can not compare the before and after photos I can not say if the two sessions made any difference at all. While the ladies there are quite friendly, the administration side is quite poor. I would definately not recommend them for Tattoo removal, go somewhere else!

For those that are yet to jump on the threading bandwagon, as someone with sensitive skin and scars in my brow this is my go to for brow tidying. This is because the threading method simply uses twisted string to pluck the hairs, so I won't react to ingredients, and the fact that the brow artist is so close and takes only a few hairs at a time means they can be more precise and avoid nasty accidents. Be sure to ask for a loyalty card so you get $4 off your third visit. Also I believe they offer friend referral specials... Which is handy, because at $25 it's not the cheapest place in town, but it's central, quick and you don't need an appointment, so you pay for convenience. As I said, not the friendliest bunch, they will chide you for growing out your brow shape between visits, but deep down they're actually lovely I'm sure... plus they make my brows on fleek.

My first time here was great, my colour was perfect as was my cut, but my second experience left me leaving disappointed and I felt like I'd been tricked into paying for more services than I thought I was agreeing to. Turns out I had the head stylist on my second visit and she is very pushy. While she does a great job at my colour, she always offers her opinions in a way that makes you feel inferior. Plus she is very good at sneaking in extra charges. I went in with a booking for a whole head of foils, I get 2 blonde to 1 dark brown. As I was telling her this, she jumps in saying who about instead of the dark brown, we go with a caramel? This sounded good and I agreed to it. When I got to the register the total was well over $230! The whole head plus cut and blow dry is only $185. It turns out she did a whole head of foils blonde and coloured the rest of my hair caramel. Two different treatments! After this experience I was hesitant to go back, but I did and this time I made sure I was very specific with what I wanted and it worked. I managed to tune out her advice (thinly veiled comments about hair damage to get you to buy products) and I got what wanted. They have good prices and a good service, just be prepared to be very specific if you want to stick to a budget.

For $65 I got a shampoo, trim, blowwave, straighten, both pre and post styling treatments and an eye brow wax (included as this weeks special). I also received a VIP card which entitles me to 15% off future visits and 10% discount on all products. I have already booked my next appointment and Sean and I are working together so that I can have the hair style I desperately want. He is brilliant and my hair looks gorgeous.

The…read morehaircut went smoothly enough, although came out looking a little more conservative than I had wanted. But the wax was one of the worst I've ever had. Waxing itself is never going to be an overly enjoyable activity so the onus to make it bearable rests entirely on the skill and bedside manner of the waxer. This lady did not succeed. She first of all got out a odd looking stick which she used to roll the individual hairs around and tug them out. After maybe a minute of this I asked if she could please just wax, since that's what I came in for and her response was "Oh... well, I suppose if you just can't stand it." She then proceeded to use the wrong wax (ie: strip wax instead of hot wax which is meant for sensitive areas) and told me off for flinching. Aside from essentially implying that it was somehow my fault this all hurt so much, she didn't speak a word to me. All in all, a pretty sucky experience.
