My 24 year old daughter needed to buy a used car she could afford. She asked me to go with her to see and test drive a 2020 Honda crv they had. We live 40 minutes away, so I asked her to call to be sure it was still available. Todd answered her call and knew she was young. He treated her as the buyer and assured her he'd have the vehicle ready for her. We arrived and he asked for her license and to sign a simple document. The car was pristine. They had detailed it immaculately. He allowed us to drive without a salesman present. She and he negotiated a price without him even acknowledging me. Extremely professional conduct. My daughter is tough, and this is what she expected. She paid cash and is loving her new car. From a male perspective, it's very rare to see such professionalism and respect toward a female and a young one at that. Buyer Beware - I do not recommend this dealership. Late 2024 Vehicle purchase. Despite reassurances of expertise and knowledge with out-of-state purchases, I now write this review with feelings of being manipulated, and deceived, and this ultimately set me back $1200 over my budget. I found that the Salesman Randy misrepresented himself to get my business. My out of state sale was handled poorly and without disclosure of important tax ramifications. I complained to Randy, who unapologetically sent my complaint to the Manager Rob Wood, where I was left with the response of "Well you didn't ask so we didn't tell you about it" So much for dealing in good faith. Buyer beware, don't be a sucker like me - Take your business elsewhere, ESPECIALLY if you are out of state. read more

My husband and I just left. Chris Payne is a joke. We had done our research already on everything and he just lied to our faces. He even misquoted our truck with a completely different trim level and when we brought that up and asked to speak to the sales manager he told us no. Then ironically the sales manager calls us to try to take the blame for Chris and wants us to come back because he can have someone else look at it. READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING A VEHICLE FROM EXPRESSWAY GM! My names Lance and I am 18 years old.  I recently bought a brand new Black, 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss, from Expressway GM.  I had been truck shopping all day and the last place I had stopped was Expressway.  I told them that I definitely wanted to buy a vehicle that day,  so it wasn't hard to get me put inside a new truck.  The whole buying process went smooth.  After I had decided on the truck I wanted, they took it back to "detail" it.  That night I drove it home and everything was fine.  The next morning I found thousands of scratches in the paint. When they went back to "detail" it they did not use the right equipment, in the proper manner.  The paint is badly damaged and needs a stage 3 paint correction.  This is going to cost me about $1,800.  The next issue I have is with the fender flares that they put on the truck.  I had told my sales representative (Kyle) that they seemed brown.  In full light the fender flares are noticeably brown.  The truck came with a lift that they had put on it but it is not lifted enough to clear the tires all the way.  The tires rubbing is doing damage to the fender wells and has ripped one of the fender wells 8 inches.  I have contacted them about all these issues.  They said they would fix them all, but they will not get back with me about it.  Communication skills are definitely a 0/5 stars.  This truck is embarrassing to drive and very upsetting.  I can only assume that they do not care because I am only 18.  It's easy to sell a vehicle, but not to take care of your customers.  I would discourage anyone from buying a vehicle from these people.  Would not recommend to anyone and I will not be coming back..... read more

Father in law bought brand new GMC Denali from this dealer. Less than 5000 miles later transmission went out and left him stranded. Further investigation tevealed the dealer had replaced the entire engine and incorrectly connected the transmission and sold the truck as brand new. This dealer will be reported to GM and will lose their dealership. read more

I purchased a 2019 Chevy Equinox with 85 miles in April 2019 from Expressway Chevrolet in Mt. Vernon IN. The issues with the vehicle began about 4 1/2 months later when my back up camera went out, where my car was at dealership 16 days to get fixed. The next issues were about 2 1/2 months later when the GPS froze & went completely out, I kept getting an "SD Card removed" error message & the climate control kept turning itself off after I would adjust it just one notch. My car was at the dealership 3 days that time. Next was 6 days later when I started hearing a rattling sound in the passenger door and a ticking in the engine bay. They had my car 2 days but couldn't replicate the noises. Next was 2 months later, still having the ticking noise in the engine bay, my cruise control started kicking itself off, the climate control was still kicking itself off, still getting the "SD card removed" error message, the radio wouldn't shut off (even after the car was completely off and the door had been opened, it would time itself off after about 45 min), the radio screen was displaying the names of the songs but no music could be heard, GPS was still freezing and going out, still a rattling in the door, my back bumper was broke and my remote start would get stuck trying to turn over the engine until I pressed the remote start button again. They had my car for 16 days that time. Next issues were 1 month later when I started getting a "tuner unavailable" error message, the radio wouldn't play music and my remote start kept getting stuck trying to turn over. They had my car 7 days that time. The next issues were 7 days later when I went to pick up my car from being worked on and I made it 15 minutes down the road to realize my GPS and compass weren't working so I had to turn back around to go back to the dealership. As of now, I'm on rental number 7 I believe? I've been without my vehicle for about 50 days total. I'm currently on my 3rd fuel pump (that I have to test drive for 30 days to see if it works correctly this time). I've been dealing with one or more of these issues constantly for 9 months now. The Service Department at Expressway Chevrolet has gone above and beyond to do as much as they could do. Friendly staff. Always kept me updated. Explained things well. HOWEVER, after having THIRTEEN SEPARATE ISSUES with the vehicle (some of which seem resolved as of now, except the door rattling, cruise control kicking off and we'll see how this 3rd fuel pump does) and the Service Department doing all they could, after dropping my car off to get the second faulty fuel pump put in and having to leave my car at the dealership AGAIN...I decided to speak to the Owner to make sure he was even aware of the situation that I've been dealing with. I called on Friday June 19th to speak to him, was told he wasn't in his office and isn't there very often, but she could transfer me to the sales manager. After finding out who the sales manager was, I told her I didn't want to speak to that person because I reached out to him when I first started having issues and was told by that person "It's not a matter of if something will break, but when. But until it does, we won't know what to fix. Bring it in then" and I said that person was a "joke" if that's who she expected to help me. To transfer me to someone else other than that person. About 2 minutes later I get a phone call from that person I didn't want to speak to. The Sales Manager. He proceeded to yell at me. YELL AT ME. Without taking a breath. Without listening to anything I said. Yelling over me so I couldn't get A WORD IN. All I could do was try to talk over his yelling by saying "I'm not going to be talked to like this", "this is unprofessional". After a about a minute of being yelled at I just hung up. HE CALLED ME BACK. Continued YELLING at me like I had never even hung up. I again kept saying "I'm not going to be yelled at or talked to like this. I want to talk to someone else." To which he replied "I GET PAID TO TAKE PHONE CALLS LIKE THIS!!!" and "THERE AIN'T NO ONE ELSE FOR YOU TO TALK TO!!!". I asked one more time to be transferred to a different person, then the line goes quiet. I can then hear a group of men LAUGHING AT ME. LAUGHING AT ME in the background. To which he responded again there was no one else for me to talk to, so I hung up. That same day, that same Sales Manager got my phone number and proceeded to text me an apology for yelling at me and thought it was necessary to bring up my son in the text, WHICH IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT TO THE SITUATION. Since that day, I've made multiple attempts to reach the General Manager by phone call (who is also the Owner from what I've been told by several employees at Expressway Chevrolet). I've left him a voicemail. And I've told multiple employees that I'm trying to reach him and the reasons why. I've yet to ever hear anything back from him. read more

Not happy with Chevy in general. Bought a used vehicle with 32k miles. After only driving 2k miles it blew a seal in the power steering and I lost steering while driving to work. Chevy refused to make it right and wouldn't even offer a loaner. I had you have the vehicle towed from the dealer to a local repair shop which charged me $700 less for the same repair. read more

So much dishonesty and disrespect. We attempted to buy a vehicle and our experience is frankly the reason car dealers have a bad name. My husband spent 5-6 hours the previous day trying to buy a $35k vehicle, but they could not get acceptable financing for us. That was fine. The next day we got our own pre-appoval with a much better rate and went back to purchase the vehicle, preapproval letter and supporting documents in hand. My husband called ahead to confirm the vehicle was still there, let them know we ONLY had one hour due to another commitment. As it was we drove over an hour to get there. The salesman said that was fine and they would have everything ready for us. I waited in the car for 40 minutes while my husband signed papers and gave them the down payment. I watched as they pulled the vehicle around for us and thought we were about done. Hooray! Unfortunately, when I walked in I knew something was wrong because my husband was pacing and looked agitated. He said he had yet to sign anything and was waiting for the finance manager who was "working on it". We could see him sitting with our salesman chatting but nothing seemed to be happening. This made no sense. The last dealer we took our own financing to had us out in 10-15 minutes. While waiting I started getting email alerts that our credit was being run. Ding..Ding..Ding..went my email alerts. We asked the salesman if that was them and after hemming and hawing he admitted that they were "trying to get us a better deal". At this point we were very unhappy. We had 10 minutes to leave and had NOT given permission to have our credit run again. He pretended to not know the finance guy was doing that- which was a complete lie. I told him they had 6 hours the day before and it was too late for that and we needed to leave. He looked straight at me and said "well YOU can leave". He was meaning to leave my husband there. Did you seriously just say that to me?? I wish, oh how I wish we had walked out right then. A few minutes later we're finally in the finance office with an obviously irritated finance manager who was clearly unhappy that they weren't getting their commission for doing our financing, and he proceeded to smack papers in front of us to sign. Part way through I asked about the carfax. My husband said he was told it was "clean" by the salesman and then asked the finance manager if that was correct. He dismissively said "no clue" and I finally spoke up and said "well I'm sorry but WE need a clue". He started going through papers and found it but was still evasive. "What do you need to know?" Seriously? "Are there any accidents" he simply said "one". After more questions- prying info out of him that he was very reluctant to give, he says it was a front end collision. The salesman had lied...again. We were not paying $35k for a vehicle with a front collision and we immediately left. It was a miserable experience with disrespect and lies all around. With 3 drivers in our home and 2 teens almost there - we will certainly never be back. I could not recommend them less. read more

Bought a 2016 Malibu limited on Jan. 31. I told the salesman Jack Metcalf that I would not buy a former rental car. He looked the car up and said it was a one owner and wasn't a rental. I went today to tranfer it here in Owensboro and it turns out it was a rental from Hertz. I would have never bought it if I knew it was a rental. He lied straight to my face. I would highly suggest you avoid all Expressways. There are too many cars and car lots out there to deal with someone that will lie straight to your face. read more

On March 27, 2017 Expressway replaced a stripped rear actuator on my 2004 Trailblazer at a cost of $522.05, while on my travel to the East coast the actuator broke again so when I returned I took it in for repair on April 26, 2017 and again they charged me for the same issue only this time the case had been damaged so I now had to pay $605.77. I can only assume that the part was installed incorrectly the first time and caused the damage to the case therefore I should not have be charged again. read more

Not impressed at all with their advertising practices or their selection. Commercial stated they were clearing out 2016 models with up to 50% MSRP and had Malibus for $12999. After an hour drive I find out the the car they advertised is a USED car with 42000 miles. What a joke!!! Save your time and money and look elsewhere!!! read more

This review is from a professional standpoint. I am a coworker with a banker who was doing a dealer purchase through Expressway Chevy. She was working with a salesman named Gary. She came to me this morning because she has been trying to retrieve the last documents needed to fund the loan for our mutual customer and he had not replied. So I told her I would help her, and called around and got a nice gentleman named Rob who got me on the phone with Gary. First impression, he just said 'hello', no introduction at all. I let him know who I was and what I was calling for and the first thing he said under his breath was something rude and unprofessional. He tried to hurry over his words and I paused and asked him to repeat himself so I could verify that he was actually talking to another professional this way. Indeed he was and so I then sternly asked if there was a problem. We had a little banter in which I asked finally 'can we get this done today' to which he replied, 'maybe'. I let him know that I was trying to avoid a negative customer experience for our mutual client to which he replied 'I've done my job just send me an email and if I have time today I will get it done.' I have never in my life witnessed disrespect and lack of customer service from another person in the lending industry. The 'maybe' indicates that he doesn't care about his clients once they leave the store with the car, and the other comments he made indicates he is extremely unprofessional and doesn't care who knows it. So I want to make sure that others are aware of this as well since he was so quick to show his true self to someone he's spoken to once. read more
