Charlotte was our sales person. She came out took measurements, provided quote with in 24 hours and flooring was ready for install when expected. Installers came on time, after Charlotte called 1 hour prior to inform me of a possible delay. Install team was productive, clean and mindful of our freshly painted walls. The customer service representatives (especially Ricky and Kristen) were attentive and friendly. Spent a considerable amount of time helping me select flooring and explain different products. Found a sample I loved. It was branded Xulon Flooring - Maribor. Never heard of them so I did extensive research to determine where product was manufactured. Told by competitor that Xulon does not actually manufacture floors, it is made elsewhere and rebranded by Expressive and their sister store Woodwudy in Fayetteville. When we obtained the floors, confirmed it was actually made by HomeLife Flooring in Adairsville GA, so that made me feel good. Love that we are supporting GA businesses. I understand that this may be a standard business practice, and not necessarily devious, I felt like they were evasive with information and provided some misleading information when I directly asked. I am a little skeptical, and was nervous about using them based on the Yelp/Google reviews, however I loved the product so I decided to take a leap of faith. Was told it would take a full week for installation, and would require rental of expensive machinery to remove tile. In reality, crew consisted of 3 men. No expensive machines. They were awesome. Took 2 full days to remove tile, build up subfloor, lay LVP and trim. Just over 800 square feet. Overall, pleased with the end result. Would have preferred more transparency in information from salespeople. Price was competitive, end product is beautiful, started when promised, completed 3 days earlier than promised. read more

I ordered SW 486 Castlewood Hickory 993 Coat of Arms for the floors in my home. The sample presents itself as a warm sandy brown. When it was installed, it was a mix of bleach blonde, medium brown and reddish brown. What you might call a Calico Cat. I requested that a dozen planks be changed out. Ricky, said it was a variable and that was to be expected. Well, the sample sure did not show a variable! I was directed to the backside of the sample and it did show a variable of straight out blonde engineered wood floors. It was all one color only blonde. I thought I was getting one color, warm brown. I called Shaw and they sent me to the call center. They have all been brain washed to say the "variable". Thank you so much for the cement dust and saw dust on my walls, furniture, appliance, and duvets. Thanks for the glue on my teak dining room set and all the missed match wood. Worst customer service I've experienced with a company. Weird, I see my other review was removed, unless it's hidden and I just can't find it. Either way, I informed them that I would be writing another one. I definitely would NOT recommend dealing with this company. Just like Ellen N. said in her review, ... they don't return phone calls. When you do actually get to speak with one of the two (Josh/Annie) in the facility, they speak to you very condescending (moreso Annie). They assume you should know everything they do about floors. They were friendly at the beginning when I asked them to come out, but it pretty much went down hill from there, after the samples that were brought out weren't any I was wanting. After trying to call them several times and either reaching a voicemail and/or getting ahold of one of them, they'd say they were unavailable and passed me to the other Rep. The other Rep said they'd check on item(s) in question, and never called back. I would call back again, and got said Rep (Annie), then they said they weren't in the office, to speak with the OTHER Rep. (Josh). I was tossed back & forth like this SEVERAL times. They only wanted to communicate via text. So I would send them pictures and ask if they were available and/or ask them about certain websites for products and I wouldn't get replies. I mean, I am a customer with less flooring knowledge than they supposedly are, and I'm doing all the searching for products. Plus, if I'm going to be putting out money for something I have to live with for as long as I'm in my home, I want to get what I'd like instead settle for something in which I'm told "That's all we have that you can afford" (In which I was originally told that the item I was quoted would fit into my budget for insurance). However I was the one searching products and asking them if they WOULD fit into my budget and STILL wasn't getting responses. I did text Annie with rapid response ONE time regarding products, but even her texts were in a condescending tone. I finally went back in today (4/26/21!!) to bring them back their floor samples, ... (Mind you, we started this whole thing back on FEBRUARY 2nd with an Insurance claim contract. A revised one was done on March 30 as a "real" contract for the flooring after Insurance approved of a money settlement. However, the flooring still was not chosen as this time. ) ... and Annie asked how she can help me. I stated I was just bringing back the samples since it was obvious they didn't want my business. She said, well we don't want your business anyways because you left a bad review on Yelp about us. I said, yes I did because you do not communicate with your customers. You don't call back and you toss people back and forth between each other. We then started to "discuss" the previous texts that were written, the lack of customer service help and their opinions of thinking I was expecting them to be a design team to choose my flooring. LOL!! No. I just wanted returned phone calls, answers to my questions and politeness. NONE of which I received. She then tells me that since I wrote the Yelp review, that her boss wouldn't allow them to work with me and to "leave and never step foot back in their building"!! hahaha OMG. I was like, Well, you can think you're threatening me about that all you want, but my whole intentions were NEVER stepping foot back into this building again anyways. I was just dropping off your samples. And then I said, and you can tell your boss there will be a follow up review again on Yelp! So, here you have it. Had carpets installed on the entire second level and Luxury vinyl installed in bathrooms. Price was competitive - installation and customer service to follow absolutely horrible. For some reason the crew installing needed all doors to the residence wide open as I was cooling off the neighborhood at my expense. There was an issue with the subfloor (loose floorboard) which I had clearly marked and which was overtly obvious. They installed carpet over defect. When I attempted to address with customer service I was told it was essentially my problem. *I should have told them not to install new carpet over defective subflooring* like that's my job. They refused to address the problem. I recommend that if you use expressive - take up all your old flooring and do their job for them. They lack the mental fortitude and integrity to do a job correctly. $5000 for a carpet I had to tear up myself and re-install. Use caution!! read more

We hired Expressive Flooring to do our floors. We paid almost 10k cash. They gave us no paperwork on maintenance gave any instructions otherwise on any type of "care" for the floors. 2 1/2 years later they are wearing away horribly, flat out embarrassing! After reaching out to them they did absolutely nothing for the first 8 months. Then they decided it was OUR fault because of the hardwood floor cleaner mop we had been using. They said they were NOT going to honor the warranty & if we wanted those boards replaced? Well you'll just have to pay for that yourself. If what they say is true, FIRST why didn't they provide us with the proper care instructions for these types of "engineered" floors as this is our first time ever having them so how are we supposed to know? SECOND, why isn't the wear on the floors everywhere? It's terrible in a few spots but then you can see the edges of boards wearing off, boards that arent even reachable with a mop? Where we DIDN'T clean the floors are wearing! And we only used this mop a couple dozen times over the course of the 2-3 years. Nothing they say makes sense as they try to blame this on us. The material is substandard, and cheap! I would never recommend this company at all! They were rude and now we have disgusting floors to look at! See for yourself!! The lack of care put into the job was ridiculously poor. They damaged most of my door frames, left big dents in my drywall and left the job unfinished. They said they would be back to finish the job but 3 months later they still have not been back and they are not returning my call. They could improve by completing the job and repairing the damage they did. read more

Amazing! The customer service and pricing were great, and the installation was well done. I had a few questions during the installation and they were more than willing to work with me. Then, a week after the carpet was installed, our hot water heater broke and flooded a portion of the basement. The manager, Michael, agreed to replace all the soaked padding for FREE. Not customer satisfaction oriented. The carpet we purchased when installed, did not align well with the height of the tile in the adjacent room. We were informed during purchasing that they did not do transitions. They stated that carpet would meet up with the tile. When I called about my dissatisfaction, I was told to go to Home Depot and buy a transition piece, cut the carpet and install it myself. When I pressed them that they are the flooring experts and should be able to do this for a fee, I was told a manager would get back to me. I am still waiting for that call. Also, when the previous transition piece was removed to install the carpet, the adhesive was not removed from the tile. More carpet will be purchased in the near future, guess I will be going to Home Depot. read more
