Mimi did my Brazilian wax- it was quick, thorough and painless. I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely go back

From the quick online booking option to the super accommodating receptionist and experienced Mimi, I had a great first time experience at Express Waxing. Brazilian waxing is far from being one of my top 5 beauty care activities but Mimi was very reassuring in making the process as painless and still effective as possible. I really appreciate how she walked me through everything she was doing so I was mentally prepared each step of the way. She also shared useful after-care tips that I hadn't heard of from other waxing specialists. Would definitely come back here again. read more

This is my second review just because I love Sarah and her staff. I used my punch card on my last visit and didn't get a new one with a promo cost that Sarah gave me. So today when Mimi checked me out after my visit with Sarah, I asked for another card. Mimi explained that she could still honor my price, but not with the card. She also asked me to pay cash to get the discount. When I wanted to leave to use my bank ATM, she told me she could charge it but next time being cash, please. Super nice. read more

I went for wax lip and eyebrows. The procedure was atraumatic but they did not do any extra procedure to trim of correct the shape of eyebrows. In addition, I asked for a receipt at the end and it was never given to me. when I asked for second time Sarah just wrote the amount on a business card which I thought was unprofessional. read more

Sarah is the best hands down! I bought a yelp deal just to try her out and I will be back. Her area is very sanitary and her technique is amazing!!! You will feel little to no pain with her waxing:) She is caring and wants the best for her clients. You are done fast but the quality of the work is not spared! I can't stop talking about her ! Go with or without the Yelp deal...you won't be disappointed!!!:) read more

3 years later and still as good as it gets! And now they have a second location in Clarendon! Thanks for all the excellent service over the years, Sara -- and Mimi too!!! These ladies are SIMPLY THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! read more

I went here for the female Brazillian two times so far. Sarah is excellent. She is fast and thorough and also does a great job with ingrowns. I have received Brazillians in many salons around the country and Sarah is bar far one of the best I have had. So many salons miss spots or use waxes that break the hair and cause ingrowns. With Sarah, my hair grows back less and with few to no ingrowns. I couldn't be happier that I found a place that is reasonably priced and does a fantastic job. read more

Just moved to the area and was looking for a place with good reviews that I could trust not to eliminate my eyebrows. Called and got an appointment same day. I was told I would see Sarah (whom everyone seems to love), but when I got there she handed me off to someone else (which made me a little nervous). I didn't catch the second woman's name, but she communicated well and I left with my eyebrows in tact. I left happy and the $10 yelp deal and a tip, I felt it was worth the money. I'll be back! For newbies: You can park in Ballston Commons Mall Parking lot for $1 for up to 3 hours. It's about a block away and much faster than searching for street parking. read more

Bought the yelp coupon and it is such a deal. I got my eyebrows waxed, at first i didn't think the lady waxed enough off, cause I was looking for more shape. After I mentioned this to her, she did some of her magic and wa la- my eyebrows look phenomenal. I think first time comers should know that this place is tucked away inside an apartment building inside a salon. I had a bit of trouble finding it my first time here, thankfully the front desk concierge was helpful! read more

The best Brazilian wax to date, Sarah is just a love muffin, removed all my hair even the strays, had me smiling the whole time, and she applied Neosporin because I have sensitive skin!!! The best in the waxing business, thanks Sarah you are awesome :) read more

Sarah is amazing, quick and painless Brazilian. She's so nice and accommodating. Call before going in as they share a salon location. Definitely go here. read more

Another fabulous waxing from the ladies at Express Waxing. Bonus today was seeing the wonderful Thip, who used to do my legs and nails at the old Magic Scissors and appears to help out there on a part-time basis now too. She's also as good as they get, and so highly recommended. read more

I have been here 3 times so far, after being waxed in Florida for a few years I was not sure if I would find someone as good. But I did!. Both Lynn and Sarah are awesoem! read more

Despite being hard to find (inside of Salon Istanbul), this place was great! The receptionist was very friendly, Sarah did a perfect, fast, and relatively painless job of taming my unruly brows. I'll definitely be back. read more

I don't want to let the secret about - but this place is the best for waxing. I drive from DC and book way in advance just for Sarah!

Love this place! Sara is great at what she does and makes you feel very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Loved Sarah! I've actually been consistently going to someone in DC but saw the living social and thought, why not try somewhere new to save a few bucks. She was great, I don't mind making the trek to VA for this place, she is very friendly and super quick and it was the least painful wax I've had! Happy to of found a great new place! read more

I am so glad Sarah started her own business. I used to see her when she worked in Georgetown but her new location is much more convenient and accessible. I hadn't seen Sarah in a few months but she totally remembered me and greeted me with a smile and hug. She always makes you feel comfortable and chats with you the entire time which makes the quick procedure that much quicker and painless. Everything is very clean and her technique is amazing. If you haven't gone because your worried about anything, Sarah will ease your fears! She is great! read more

If you are looking for a salon to get your Brazilian wax done: this is the place. The staff is very attentive and they look happy to be there. Please make the appointment with Sarah. She's a professional! The process is very quick and pain free. I will definitely come back here! I never thought pain free waxing was possible :-) read more

Sarah was great! My skin is super sensitive and when it didn't react too well at first, she followed up with me several times to check in to see how my skin was doing. I've sent several friends to her, who've also said that they had great experiences. read more

I worked in a salon for 10+ years so I know what good service is. Sarah is the sweetest tech I've ever met! I originally came in for eyebrow tinting, she told me that since I already have black hair that it probably wouldn't make a huge difference. I told her it was ok, so she started prepping while explaining everything to me. After she was finished I asked her to wax my eyebrows too. She giggled and said that she didn't feel right charging me for a service that I can do myself (I'm a licensed cosmetologist). I love that she wasn't pressuring me to spend money (like a lot of other salons do). I told her to wax my brows anyway and the results were awesome! Overall: Customer service was great! Eyebrow tinting and waxing took less than 20 minutes, start to finish. Prices are moderate, comparable to other salons in the area. Salon is hard to find, it's actually located INSIDE Salon Istanbul. Street parking. I paid with a Visa card. read more

Sarah did a great job. This was my first time being waxed and obviously it wasn't painless but Sarah talked me through it and was extremely friendly...and the pain was fleeting! read more

Mimi is THE BEST in Arlington. It is quick and painless, she truly has a magic touch. Thorough, clean, comfortable and professional. I will not go anywhere else for waxing other than her. Cash tips are the best too. read more

UPDATE: Been back here twice since the first review, and sadly, haven't had Sarah either time. There's not way of knowing that when you make the appointment, as it lists her name on the reservation. Unfortunately, the other people I had were not as good -- less thorough and meticulous, and this last time was pretty painful. Not sure if I'll go back. read more

I tried Express Waxing for the first time this week, and it was a good experience. I made an appt with Sarah for a Brazilian wax, though when I arrived, the manager said that Sarah was busy and Mimi was available instead. He later told me that you have to schedule in advance for Sarah, as her schedule books quickly. I didn't quite understand this scheduling mishap, as I did request Sarah specifically when I made my appointment. I think that they should be more clear about who the technician will be when the appointment is scheduled. However, Mimi did a great job. She was friendly, kind, and did a quick but thorough job with the waxing. I would definitely recommend her to others. read more

What a great experience, moved here one year ago and could not find a satisfactory person/business until today. Sara is kind, efficient and the price is super. Will be my new spot for waxing for sure. Susan read more

Sarah is an extremely experienced esthetician and the best waxing service you will find! I have had similar experience with the other estheticians as well and they are excellent. Also the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend their waxing services! read more

Seriously if you have not gone here yet, you have been missing out. Sarah is a godsend!! She is so sweet and she works magic on my eyebrows. She is super friendly and makes you feel really comfortable. She trims and waxes my eyebrows to perfection! I don't know what I did before I found Sarah and express waxing. You can make an appointment or just walk in. Usually she is able to get you in within a couple of minutes! read more

Quick and efficient. Won't claim painless as a Brazilian always comes w pain, but it's minimal and the ladies here make you comfortable while the job gets done. read more

Absolutely amazing!! Clean, very fast, and a total professional. She made waxing as pain free as possible. I would recommend her to anybody. The waxing is very reasonably priced and you get amazing service! read more

I think that many of the other reviewers have covered how awesome Sarah and Express Waxing are. For a Brazilian you cannot beat the price, the service, or the clean environment. I also LOVE that you can book online - it really couldn't be any easier. read more

Sarah is awesome. This was my first Brazilian wax and I'm not going to lie and say it didn't hurt but... Sarah made it the best experience possible. Plus, I forgot my wallet like a big dumb dumb and they were super cool about it. Came back later to pay my bill with no problem! Highly recommend. read more

THE DEAL- If you dont have a voucher bought from Yelp, they charge you $15 for the Brows. If you have the voucher, they charge you $20 for the Brows. Therefore, your deal has the same $5 you paid for. Service was average. read more

Love this place. The location is convenient, the decor is calming and clean, and the service is amazing. Chanada is the best! I only go to her, though I'm sure the other ladies are nice as well. Chanada does a thorough and professional job at a reasonable price; I highly recommend her services. Also: the online appointment scheduling service = godsend. read more

Sarah is a gem. She's super friendly, and fantastic and what she does. Even though this was my first time getting waxed, the whole process caused very little pain (I'd liken it to a sunburn getting slapped) and took less than 15 minutes. read more

Just got my eyebrows done here and it was as good as the other reviews say! It was much less painful, sanitary, and I'm very fair but my brows are already much less red than usual. Great experience! read more

Despite I had to rush out of there once my service was done, I really had a great experience. It was my first time at this location, and Sarah was absolutely amazing! She's just so sweet and she made the whole service easy. There wasn't much pain at all, and she really tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The best part is that she did the service fast! I really like that the most. She does a great job even in less amount of time. I definitely see myself coming back here ever few weeks to continue my waxing services :) read more

Customer service was top notch. The place was a little hard to find. So I was 30 mins late for my appointment. I had a groupon and was hell bent on traveling to Arlington from md during rush hour traffic..terrible idea. It took me 2.5 hours to get there! Both the aesthetician and the reception were so accomodating. They both told me to arrive safely and when I can. She was extremely fast and professional and thorough and it didn't hurt as much as other waxes. I will be a repeat customer...just not during rush hour. read more

The reviews are true. This experienced equally deserved 5 stars because Sarah was just amazing. First, she greets you with a bubbly smile and may possibly give you a hug. I'm a hugger so this instantly made me feel much more comfortable since I hadn't had a wax in a very long time. She was quick, thorough, she eased my pain, we laughed about how I might scream & before I knew it, I was done!!! I highly recommend visiting Sarah for all sorts of waxing services. You will probably walk away with the same smile she greeted you with... =) I'M COMING BACK! read more

Sarah was super sweet and really helped calm my nerves since my pain tolerance is super low. Probably the best waxing experience ever. I've only had 3 total and that's in the span of 6 years. If you've never gotten a wax before, I highly recommend getting your first wax here (and all your future waxing needs), it'll make the future ones feel less daunting. Thanks to Sarah, I don't dread getting waxed anymore. read more
