Stayed at Hilo Hawaiian and looked up Bite Squad hoping they delivered for Hawaiian Style Cafe. Bite Squad's selection for breakfast was limited so we tried out Express Waiters. Although they didn't deliver for Hawaiian Style either, they do deliver for Ken's House of Pancakes so Ken's it was. Such a convenience to have a delivery service with great customer service! We use them quite often for several reasons: 1) support local: the owner is a Hilo boy who has worked so hard to expand delivery options from restaurants to groceries & liquor! 2) convenience & options: we were at a gathering pre-Covid and didn't want to drive to pickup more liquor, so we ordered 12pack of beer from Kadota Liquors & EW delivered to us quickly...beer was cold!! So convenient! 3) great customer service: the drivers are super nice and helpful! We usually end up knowing them, which brings us back to SUPPORT LOCAL! All the drivers are working so hard, especially during the pandemic! EW is doing an awesome job & providing a much needed service in Hilo & now in Puna! Mahalo nui, Express Waiters! We ordered a delivery for Friday, April 8 for breakfast via their app. I waited at the front office for my delivery and nothing showed up. I checked with my coworkers to see if a delivery was ever made and nothing. There was no number to call to see what was going on and if wasn't until after I finished work that day that my wife told me I can find their number online. Upon calling to let them know I never received my breakfast I was transferred over to the manager John and he told me that the place I worked for called them and said there was no person with my name that worked there. I told them maybe it was the other school that is close but a different address and they said no. And repeated my location to me that it had been delivered to where I had requested and that "this time" they would refund me after a long pause on their end. So on Monday to clarify where my order went, I called they other location to see if that's where it went and sure enough the driver delivered it to the wrong address. So my wife called them back to speak to John super upset because first of all, they went to the wrong place, secondly never apologized and thirdly was very condescending about offering my refund for this non order. Upon her calling and talking to John he was rude, never apologized and couldn't understand why she was upset. They were in the wrong, got the wrong address, didn't even apologized and was rude to us when we first complained about not receiving my food. That is no way to run a business. Poor customer service and the only thing a customer can do when they owner is the one that is rude is not reservice them again. read more

The food has been taking way too long to get delivered not to mention that I recently took notice that their prices are well over $2 more than what the actual restaurant would charge you for an item. I use this service for many reasons. #1 IT'S LOCAL, #2 I'm disabled,  #3 delivery cost less than a taxi round trip not counting the tip.  They are professional and attentive and they have a nice list of dining options. I know when I use this service I am helping the restaurants and this local company as well. I recommend them to all my friends. They are a class act. I've purchased roast duck from 1 plus 1 cafe twice, that was slamming, delicious Indian food from Kamana Kitchen, ramen from Tetsumen with a rich broth and killer meats and noodles. They have made my stay at home directive more livable that's for sure. And they are doing their part to help the culinary businesses stay a float. Gotta love'em. Peace read more

Always timely! So glad Hilo has a company like this! With most restaurants in Hilo not having delivery as an option, this place really solves that problem! Can't wait til more restaurants are added on though, selection could be larger! $7 add on to the delivery charge is kind of pricey if you're not ordering for a larger crowd. Awesome! My car was in the shop today, and I didn't feel like eating at the two restaurants near my office. This was my first time ordering with express waiters, and I am not disappointed! My food came in 40 minutes (estimated time was an hour), and the delivery guy was real nice. My food was hot, and everything was perfect. I love them.
