Express installed a new hvac system in August 2025 in my house. The furnace failed on Saturday 1/32/26. When I returned to the house Saturday night the temperature was 30°. The pipes froze. I called their 800 number, it rang for a minute then hung up. I finally got through on Monday. The technician came and got the furnace working and repaired 3 leaks at the front if the crawl space. I was told rgere were several other leaks. I called yesterday to ask if they were going to make good on the other damage done to my house by their faulty equipment. I received a call today and was informed that they would not assist with the repairs their equipment caused. I paid another plumber $1,500.00 to restore the water service to my house. I do not recommend Express Plumbing Heating Cooling and Roofing. read more

On June 6 they came to service my HVAC. They noted that the coils were rusty and we may need a new unit within a year. The following week my AC was running but not cooling. I looked at the unit and noticed the drip pan was overflowing. I contacted another company and the immediately detected a hole in the coil. The unit they tested with immediately started beeping. Either express didn't notice the hole or it started within a week after they inspected. Very strange read more

We had a leak and needed a new water heater tank a couple of weeks ago. Called Express Plumbing just up the road who we used to install a new HVAC system in 2021 for $9,940. They came out, and gave us a quote for $3,800. Thinking that was too high a price, we called our neighbor Glenn P McPhearson a licensed Master Plumber. He quoted us $2,300(40% cheaper) and would install it first thing in the morning. We relayed that to the Express Plumbing technician, paid him the $100 service charge for showing up, and thanked him. A week later we turned our heat on for the first time. In our attic where they installed the furnace/blower made a high pitched electrical noise with an accompanying smell, so we turned it off...thank god. We called Express Plumbing telling them what we heard, smelled and to please service the HVAC unit they installed, and we expected to pay for all parts and labor. We were told, "move on because you didn't have us install the new water heater"(exact words). A water heater that would have cost us $1,500 more than the new one we installed. We called McPhearson Plumbing again. It turns out there was an arch in the relay switch that was in danger of causing an electrical fire(hence, noise and smell) right above our bedroom. They will charge you for things you don't need . Just to get the bill as high as possible. If they quote you please get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. If you don't know how a heating or cooling system work don't trust what the technician says. I hope the money was worth it . More reviews to come read more

Prices are astronomically and absurdly high!! The job they did for me was priced on "difficulty not time". I respect tradesmen and willingly and happily pay for services well done but not when it is priced similarly to a brain surgeon. My job was overpriced by about $1000. We had family friends oversee the issue and were not in a position to shop it out. Also had a water heater replaced by them and that was twice as much as it should have been. Oh- and just remembered they replaced the burst pipe in my outdoor shower from copper to PVC and charged me about $1200!! This was outrageous- but again not in a position to get bids- was off the Island and friends were 'helping me out' by overseeing. Shop elsewhere! After this I found Ed Johnson Plumbing & Heating- great service, very fair prices- and I'm not related nor do I get a kickback. read more

NOT GOOD. Dave is a very nice guy but Express Plumbing disappointed on both heating and cooling. First, when we got here, the heat wasn't working. They took months (and many calls) to figure out what the problem was (a bird's nest in the vent) but then never fixed it. It's now been 4+ months and we have no heat. Then, when our A/C wasn't working, and I explained to them that we had two new units but only half the house was getting cooled. They told me we needed 3 more micro units and estimated 17K. I called and asked them if they were any alternatives, and they said they needed to "think about it" but never called back. Air Technical Services showed me that a valve was in the wrong position and fixed the problem for $100. Not sure if it's incompetence (or worse), but I don't recommend read more

Had ceiling damage underneath our bathroom, then found mold in the bathroom underneath molding. Express plumbing took a week to come out and sent a lazy child. This guy spent 20 minutes here and just looked around. Ran the bath for 5 minutes. Charged us $170 and said there was no leak. We had another company come out, they ran a battery of tests and found and pointed out the leak within 30 minutes. It was so obvious and aligned perfectly into dropping where the mold was growing. Not only is express plumbing a crappy plumbing company but they could have been deadly. Thanks for nothing. read more

Did a great job but told me the estimate to hook up my kitchen sink and dishwasher was going to be a complicated job. Thinking it was a complicated job I accepted his price. Came to my house the next day and finished the job in 3 hours. Price per hour was OVER 600.00. YES 600.00 per hour. I questioned this and was told he gets paid by the job. You would have thinked he could have charged me a bit less than the estimate. I'm not calling him a crook, but you can make up your own mind. read more

I would give this company zero stars, but you can't. Used the service for broken pipes and thought cost of project was really high, but assumed it was due to how much work needed to be done. Had owner come back to fix a small leak behind my dryer wall. Got the bill: 1100.00!!! I was at the office when I picked up the bill and noticed that I was charged 195.00/hour x 5 hours. Well, I have a video camera: he arrived at 1:03 pm, sat in his truck until 1:17 pm, and was locking and leaving my house at 2:47pm. NAILED him on camera and let him know. I received a new bill with an apology for the "error." Looking back, I am sure that I was ripped off for the original work done. He is a con artist. BEWARE!!!! read more

Warning, This company is a "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing". I called 2 other plumbers and their hourly rates were $125.00 hour. Then I saw Xpress Plumbing and noticed their great reviews on Yelp and decided to hire them. My big mistake was not getting a price quote. Again their reviews were great so I didn't think they would charge me twice as much as the other companies. Well they came and spent little less than an hour here and had to replace a $15.00 part. So I'm thinking the price would be less than $175.00. Well I was shocked to see the price was $315.00. I asked why the bill was so high and what their hourly rate was and they told me they don't have an hourly rate and the plumber decides what the price is per job. Well my tech, Kevin, decided to fleece me. I called to complain and was told to speak to Kevin. Again Kevin told me "the price is what it is". I will not be using Xpress Plumbing again and will never recommend them to any friend or family. I am going to post this review on as many sites as I can find to help protect others. Holiday Heroes! Had a backup in kitchen sink with a house full of company and more on the way. Called at 7:30am on Saturday of Memorial Day and the owner answered. He was nice and said he could have a tech here in 45 minutes. True to that James showed up at 8:15. It was not an easy clog and hubby had to open some drywall so James could work his magic on the area in question. By 9:45 problem solved and the bill was not highway Holiday robbery! Had a great experience performed by Express Plumbing. From my first call on April 16, 2020 when Robert and Dennis arrived to discuss my heater problem. They were both courteous and professional and covid protected. Estimate given and discussed.  I did get a second estimate also, but Dave Hill matched that estimate that was lower. Which I found incredible and I thank him sincerely. On April 20, 2020 Robert, Dennis, Jared and Mikey arrived with all the new equipment to be installed the whole works. I was kept informed by emails of appts. etc. The servicemen were here all day working constantly and did an exceptional job. Cleaned up neatly and took all debris away. Dave was just here to hook up kitchen faucet, garbage disposal and dishwasher in renovated kitchen. I called him on Wednesday and he said he could be there in just a few hours! Amazing ! I instead opted for Friday morning and he said he would be here at 9 AM and he was here exactly at that time. It can be very difficult to even get someone to answer the phone for service at this beach resort, but this company ANSWERS THE PHONE, is professional and prompt. This company replaced a water heater for me. They were available on short notice and did a good job. However, I needed an invoice so I could be partially reimbursed by my condo association. After numerous contacts by e-mall and phone and a lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (that went unanswered), I never received an invoice for the services rendered. I would not recommend them for this reason as I think this is bad business practice. read more

This plumbing service is polite and will come on time...however be prepared for a giant rip off in cost. The plumber was here for 1 hour and ten minutes to find and locate a leak. He found it in the first wall cut. replaced the hole in the pipe with a slip on replacement....no welding etc. the piece of pipe was 9 inches long. The charge 800.00! When I complained he dropped it to 700.00! And he left the hole in the wall and tons of water all over the basement floor. He is definitely a one shot plumber ....you would never call him again. I had a major plumbing issue today (Sunday) so I called around to get a plumber out right away . I called about 5 companies and got answering machines at all other plumbers but express actually answered the phone and said a plumber would be there in an hour . Dave came out in less than an hour and he was great . He worked very hard to find out the problem . Unfortunately it turned out to be a broken pipe under the street so it was water and sewage department issue , but Dave was a great plumber and we will be calling him again if we ever need a plumber again . I used Dave last year to replace a water heater with a unit he supplied and everything went perfectly. He gave me a price quote which was very competitive versus Home Depot and other plumbers. He arrived timely and got the job done timely and within reason of the original quote except for a gas supply hose. This year was a totally different scenario which in part was due to my false sense of trust that his pricing would be fair. I originally got a price to bleed the furnace and clean it. First he was 1 hour late to arrive without a courtesy call letting me know he was running late. Second, once he started the job I started to get the feeling that he was making up lots of reasons for a change to the scope of his work. At the end of the work, 2 hours, he presented a bill of $900 for replacing 1 water pressure reducing valve, 3 water shut off valves and the bleeding of the system. This means that after considering the $100 cost of the parts, he charged me $400 per hour for his labor. I can tell you that the water heater replacement worked out to about $200 per hour in labor. I expressed my shock to Dave and his response was that labor is not a factor in calculating an invoice. He billed $350 to install the $100 valve which took him 20 minutes. He billed $140 to install each of the 3 water shut off valves. Lesson learned, past performance is no guarantee of future performance. Sadly, I can never trust Dave again. read more
