I will not be coming back to this shop. The front counter was friendly but my biggest complaint is time. When you have an appointment you should honor it. I see techs and empty bays yet my vehicle wasn't pulled in until 20 min after my appointment. It also does not take 45+ min for a rotation and balance. After sending stranded motorist to this location They were charged almost $500 to change two fuel filters on a 2010 Ford F250 diesel. All other automotive repair and tire stores in the area of Crestview total cost for repairs was $258 including tax or lower. After contacting the store and speaking with the manager, he confirmed the outrageous price. These people were broken down in the parking lot and had no choice, but to pay the bill. The manager stated." it is on video that they agreed to the price, we even had Spanish-speaking employees to ensure they understood the cost." I informed him that he knew he charged them double the price of anyone else in the city. He responded, "they agreed to it. He further stated it is the companies normal prices." Here's the lesson learned, don't do business with dishonest people. He had the opportunity to do something to make things right, but chose not to. I highly recommend this business for your consideration for auto repair. My driver's side windshield wiper arm wouldn't work properly. The local Jeep dealership couldn't repair until they could "diagnose" (not repair) the cause, $180 fee, the next day. Express got me in the same day, diagnosed, repaired, and adjusted for proper operation in 15 minutes. Express could have easily milked the repair. However, they sent me on my way at no charge. High prices on oil changes and pretty much everything you could get done elsewhere BUT-the QUALITY and customer service is worth it. They ask questions when you pull in, are always friendly, and they always remind me about ladies day discount :) I made the mistake of taking my car elsewhere due to location convenience, and learned my lesson. High prices are worth the business, because this is one of the best shops in town. I'm a younger female, and instead of trying to get over on me, the staff will show me how an air filter should look, and when is the "right" time to replace it-he literally said, "anyone who tells you to replace it when you can still shine light through it-is lying." Semi-Synthetic oil (synthetic blend) oil change. Price with coupon was good. Quick service. Synthetic blend oil should last 5,000 to 7,500 miles. My car book states 7,500, but car dealer said 5,000, so they are probably lying too. I'm not happy that Express Oil Change writes "Next Service Mileage" at 3,000 miles. That's the old conventional oil method. I interpret that as taking advantage of people who don't know, or who didn't look at their mileage going in, or perhaps taking advantage of women. Beware. I was there Jun 28 with my son. After waiting for 15 minutes, the worker comes to the front desk and starts getting the keys from the guy that came after me. I inform the worker "hey I was here before him". His answer? "I couldn't see it brother" and continues to work on the guy's request instead of mine. He somehow thought that was acceptable so I took my son and left. Fun fact. I was the only person of color in the interaction. I had a long road trip scheduled the next day. I searched yelp and other sites, and found this company had some good reviews, so I took a chance. Note: If you are looking for similar service, make sure you know what they include or dont include BEFORE you pull in, so you are not surprised afterwords. That was my only mistake. I've been taking my 2018 Kia Soul! to express Crestview for over a year now. During the last few changes they started using an oil extractor. They said something about it removing it better than a normal oil change. A couple weeks ago my engine seized up on the I10 and when my mechanic inspected it , he said it had no oil and that Express had noted at least 3 times it was low. They never mentioned the low oil one time and that seems like a pretty relevant ( and most basic) thing to mention during a $100 oil change. They show you the dipstick, check lights and hirn, and review the air filter, but not mention oil issues?! Not to mention the "notes" box is this tiny space in the middle of the page that you have to hunt for. Kia engines are under a class action lawsuit for oil consumption, but my VIN isn't affected, so it makes me wonder if using an oil extractor, which leaves oil and sludge to continue circulating, didn't jack up my engine and leave my car completely unfixable and useless. Save your money and go somewhere else. Waiting in your car isn't worth the costs, which could end up being way more than you ever could imagine! read more

I am pleasantly surprised with the customer service at Express Oil today! I only waited a few minutes to get into one of the bays. I had to get a full synthetic oil change, which the cost was about $30 more than I normally pay when I take it to Lee Buick GMC in Crestview. The extra $30 IS WORTH IT for not having to wait over an hour for an oil change at Lee Buick! I was in and out at Express Oil in 15 minutes! Carlos was my tech that assisted me when I pulled in and was very friendly and courteous. I've had to bring my vehicle in for tire issues over the past couple years, but I will definitely be coming back for oil changes now! Extra money well spent! read more

These guys were amazing and I'd like to say thank you to them for helping me so much. I was driving from cocoa beach to Colorado and my cv joint broke so I was towed to this shop. When I told them what happened they got it on the lift quickly and diagnosed the problem. They ordered the part and got me on my way the next day! All of this was the day before hurricane Michael hit and instead of blowing me off and leaving me stranded they were urgent in getting me back on the road again before the storm hit. Took my daughter and her first vechicle here to get the oil changed and all fluids checked. All the people was very nice and Cody the manager was awesome. When he realized I was explaining the process and all they were doing he took extra time and explained things to her also and showed her how to check things herself. Do not recommend this place. We were on a road trip and noticed low tire pressure in one of our tires. We pulled in just after 5p (they close at 6) and while a guy came out to talk to us, they wouldn't help us. Nor are they "tire engineers" as we had to explain to him what the correct pressure is for our car and he didn't believe us until he checked inside our door. read more

Well today my first experience here. Before I left it was great. However, While I was there I was informed by my mechanic that my tire thread was getting low and reached a point that it is now alerting my sensors. I wasn't surprised I already knew that I had an odd ball tire that would get low before the rest so I was ready to replace it. The mechanic had already told me it was a long wait because I thought about getting a tire rotation so I asked okay well do I need to change it now? Or how long do you think I have on it because I drive from crestview to niceville daily at high speeds and I don't want it to blow out. He assured me "oh no it won't do that you still have some time until your next oil change" so I trusted I had at least until my day off to get it change since apparently there was no rush. BUT on my way to work that same day! the whole time I'm on the phone with my husband (who is currently deployed) repeatedly telling him my car sounds weird i was thinking it was from my oil change. my car was humming pretty loud. Just as I get into niceville and off the highway my freaking tire blows!! I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager and all he says is how he's going to speak to the mechanic and that he'll come change my tire for me. I said no thanks to that offer. Then he says to me that he will knock the price off the tire as much as he can for me because of what had happened and to just to bring my car there. I asked well exactly how much are you going to knock off the $126.00 For my one tire I was previously quoted before I left. He says $20. They're a joke. I won't be back. They claim 10 minute oil changes but it's more like 45 mins it's sad I don't know if it's the employees on this specific day or what but I must say they move extremely slow. I wouldn't complain but came here to get my oil changed and sat behind a car for 45 - 60 mins and then it took 49 mins for my oil to be changed when I was in the bay so I think their advertisement of 10 min oil change is definitely a lie. The service was terrible at this business, with several people having to wait for someone to come to the service desk. This business does not have someone at the service counter to provide service to customers and everyone that came in had to wait a long time before they received service. I saw several people that left because of the poor service. I went in to get an estimate for my air conditioner in my car and I told them that I wanted to know what it would cost before they did any work. I was not told that there was a charge for the estimate before they looked at the car and I asked several times how much it was going to cost. When I did not get service for the air conditioner they charged me 48 dollars for a diagnosis, which was the same amount of labor they would have charged for servicing the air conditioner. I would not recommend this place because of the poor customer service. read more

After watching two people who pulled up after me and two people who pulled up before me go in, we left. Came in for an oil change. Employee told me my total would be $83 and some change for a full synthetic oil change. I told him I was military after he told me the total. Employee stated it will be discounted after service. Totally fine with me. Oil change is complete and he gives me the same total as $83 and some change. I stated, remember i'm military. He proceeds to tell me "O yes , that's with military, after taxes." I reminded him that before I even mentioned that i'm military you told me the total would be $83 and some change. So you mean to tell me military discount is $1 ?" he replies "basically." I told him "no that's not possible" he goes grab the manager and the manager puts in a code and it brings my total down $10. Please be aware, no code will be applied to your total UNLESS a manager comes and authorize it ! I will stick to the FWB location from now on. read more

About a month ago I went to WalMart for a rotate and balance for which I had pre-paid when I bought my tires there. But WalMart told me it would be about 5 hours before they could start on my car. I told them to forget it because I live too far away to go back and forth. So I took drove by Express Lube and was able to get in with no wait just as they were opening at 8:00 am. Total time spent was about 45 minutes. Great! Then about 2 weeks ago I took my other by Express Lube and they told me that an employee did not report for work and that it would be about 2 hours before they could start. I declined the offer and said I'd come back another time. So today, about 2 weeks after the last visit, I went back by about 10 minutes before opening and they took my keys put the car on the rack immediately (as if they were going to start the rotate and balance) and it just sat there for nearly an hour with nothing happening. I did notice that there were only 3 employees working and that about 6-8 customers had already come in. The other people in the waiting area were all getting disgruntled and impatient with the lack of progress and lack of communication. Nobody was greeting customers at the service desk and the 3 visible employees were all busy working on different projects. There is obviously a manpower shortage at this business and it has apparently been that way since I was there last. I finally got up to inquire with a technician and to tell him that I could not wait for hours if he was unable to get to my car soon. And I asked why the manager I was used to seeing was not there this particular morning. The technician told me that the manager had quit recently (hence the reason nobody was at the service desk). Other customers came in and sat without being greeted. In my personal opinion, this business is lacking in either good management or good ownership (or both) and I do not see it being very successful if these major issues are not addressed forthwith. A bad reputation is difficult to repair and bad news travels fast by word of mouth. I would recommend hiring a new and experienced manager and hiring many more technicians in order to service customers faster. I feel sorry for the few poor souls who work there now.
