We took a damaged piece of artwork (from a set of 3) into Express Frame to have the glass replaced. It turned out that what we thought was matting was actually painted on the glass to give the appearance of a double mat. Sue was incredibly helpful in helping us find original matching colors in matting material as well as a slightly thicker metal frame to accommodate the two mats. We purchased the art pieces in the mid 80's, and have been living with the cracked glass since the mid 90's. We couldn't be more pleased with help and service we received. I could not be happier with the service I received from Sue and Alex. I had artwork framed to perfection which had been sitting in a box for 20 years, and they did a first class job. I went with the museum glass to cut down on glare and it was totally worth it! When it was my granddaughter's birthday I brought in another picture to be framed for her with 3 mattings and it turned out incredible! They are the only frame shop I will go to from now on. Truly great folks and quality framing. read more

They are so good I've used them for a long time. It's important to me to keep my art protected with the correct matting and glass.

Brought a simple poster over to get a metal frame and some matting. They wanted $500....took it over to Michaels.....they charged $245. Express Frames in Palm Desert CA is a rip off. I would never go there...trust me... go to Michaels. You'll save a ton read more

I got a vintage drawing of Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett from a LA Fires fundraiser that needed some repairs. Ms Duffy was such a joy to work with and had a great eye on how to really honor and showcase this art piece. It is beautiful and has a great story behind it. The price was reasonable and she even felt the need to contribute as well. I am so happy to have found this framing place and will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

I recently got back into cross stitch and decided to have one of my pieces framed as a gift. Sue at Express Frame was super helpful in choosing the mat, frame, and glass; and even in the midst of their move, they were able to get the piece to me in time for gifting. I'm so happy with how it turned out - I went with the museum glass and it was totally worth it as it cuts down on so much glare. I plan on using Express Frame for any future framing needs! read more

Great integrity.... He recommended a more cost effective way to get my job done. Even though it meant going elsewhere.

Sue and Alex are so helpful and can quickly find the right colors and frames to match your vision. Looking forward to seeing the final piece next week - did I mention that they are much faster than others out there, because they stock their own inventory. read more

Express frame just completed a very sentimental project for me. I had my wedding bouquet and my moms bouquet preserved and needed a frame for both. I brought the pieces in and got to talking with Sue. She showed me lots of options and we bounced around ideas on what looked best. I had a great time just talking with sue I picked out my frames and on my way I went. I love the finished result and am happy I chose somewhere professional(instead of michaels like a previous review stated). Thank you for my beautiful frames. read more

The owner is great, very knowledgeable and fun to work with. The results are great... so much between than a place like Micheals. Pay a little extra and get what you pay for. A professional piece of work that will do your artwork justice. read more

We have a place in La Quinta and needed to replace several pieces of art where the glass had broken. Now that is customer service. We are clients for life. read more

Outstanding framers! I've used Sue and Alex since I moved to the Coachella Valley 8 years ago. They are an amazing duo. Sue is an excellent designer -- I have long been to the point where I hand her a piece, give her a general sense of the direction I want to go, and let her choose. She has an amazing sense of color and texture, and knows what would work best in each situation. Alex is a perfectionist in his workmanship, and he's also a great designer so if Sue's not around, do not worry--you're in great hands with him as well. Both are really kind and sensitive individuals, honest brokers. They've done numerous pieces for me--some expensive art and some basic poster art-- so I base this review on 9-10 pieces. Prices are very fair. Support this small business! Also, kudos to them for their sensitivity to COVID protocols -- I'm protecting an ailing husband and in addition to following all normal protocols, they will let me know when there is no body else in the shop and things like that. read more

They take time to let you go thru their frame selection, (they have a large amount). They call when your picture is ready. I need glass replaced in a picture I have and they are happy to do that too. Will be going back to have other pictures reframed. read more

This was my first time having my artwork framed for a gallery show. I had been avoiding having work professionally framed because I was worried about the price and not sure how much a difference it would make in appearance. Well, Express Frame gave me a much better price than I had anticipated and boy did their personalized touch make a difference in how my work appeared! No more crappy frames from Michael's and Walmart for me. And Sue was so kind and professional--what an awesome lady. Will be back for sure. read more

Earlier this year I met with Alex to discuss framing a wedding photo for one of my sons. I brought in a framed wedding photo of my other sons wedding from years ago. I wanted to see if Alex could find similar materials to match them up. He was able to match both photos in materials and quality. He did such a great job I had him frame a religious quote, which is one of my favorites. My daughters wedding photo is being framed as I write this review. Alex is also repairing an abstract print that needed better support. This experience has exceeded my expectations and it is my belief that you will be equally satisfied. read more

Express Frame did an excellent job. They were so helpful and patient with us. I would highly recommend going here for your framing needs.

What an absolute pleasure it is to do business with Alex and Sue. Based on the reviews, we had a pice done a couple of months ago and it turned out great. We appreciated the consultation on the frame styles and mounting options, especially because this was a uniques fabric appliqué. It couldn't have turned out better. But the real reason for five stars is how they go above an beyond on behalf of customers. We had purchased a consignment piece that needed mounting and frame repair. Alex took it upon himself to pick the piece up for us (we couldn't fit it in our car), expertly complete the job and then bring it to us all within a matter of days. What great "old school" customer service! We will continue to use Express frame for all of our framing needs and strongly recommend that you do to! We think they are the best in the valley. read more
