Express flooring installed laminate flooring to two bedrooms. Installation was great. Problem is... they over bought material that would easily have installed another bedroom. They overbought 7 cases of flooring, 48 feet of base trim, 6 foot of wood trim and 2 boxes (200 ft) of plastic barrier. When I confronted them, they said they'd take care of it. This has been going on for almost 4 months. We ended up contacting another installer and had them install laminate flooring on our 3rd bedroom. We had to pay for the labor. Don't trust this company! I used Express Flooring and had the worst service experience of my life. Installed the wrong carpet in 3 of my 4 rooms, then came to finish the 4th room as we decided it was easier to just go that route and they installed another wrong carpet in the last room. Had to come tear that out re-install the agreed upon wrong carpet. Customer service is a nightmare, can't get answers from anyone, tried to go up the chain and ask for a credit for the 2 week disaster they caused only to have a regional manager argue with me and pretty much tell me I was stupid if I thought I was going to get more than a $500 credit. We were to receive a phone call from the VP at the main corporate number today and of course, we never did. The Michael H (Business Manager) is no longer an employee at Express Flooring. The young lady that we spoke with today had to track down who took care of the Yelp reviews and forwarded our information and that we were willing to discuss the matter. The manager at the local store in San Antonio, the salesperson who prepared the quote with 'all discounts applied' but none are listed on the contract. It seems that this company is not interested in making things right and we already need our entire stairway redone after one week of the original install. Sad this company is not willing to help faithful customers are this was our second purchase and last job we are going to do with the company. *DO NOT USE EXPRESS FLOORING* I had carpet removed from my living spaces and one bedroom. The salesman sold me LVP that would match the LVP already installed in other rooms by the home builder. They brought in Linoleum as an example of what the LVP would look like. When the installation day came, the installers were not Express Flooring employees, they were non-english speaking contractors who left trash and staines all over my house. They showed up without the proper equipment to install the floors and Express tried to pressure me into coming out of pocket to pay for the missing materials. The contractors pressured me into signing a form for them to get paid (I made it clear in no uncertain terms that I was not happy with the install). Not even 2 weeks after install, the flooring that they installed is popping up all over the place. After having them send new contractors to the house twice, one of them told me that I would have to have the brand new flooring I just paid for and had installed replaced! My wife and I have all but given up trying to have Express come back to even look at the flooring. Numerous attempts all end up with us scheduling a call-back and never hearing from them again. I don't even know where to begin with these people. We had a flooring job done in late August. After the job we noticed two small repairs that needed to be attended to. One was fixing the transitional part from our den/office to the floors and the second was fixing some bubbling up/bowing we noticed near our entrance. When I called a week after service, I assumed it would be simple to just call and then get someone out, as we have this lifetime warranty they pride themselves on. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. I probably called 3-5 times a week, talked to many customer service reps (Melanie, Elle, Rose, Danielle etc.) Every single of them gave me "I will call you back about your open repair" or "Someone will come out on the 11th" or "I can't get ahold of Alexandra at the San Antonio office" and it was like this for 2 MONTHS. I finally had to go into the San Antonio office, take time away from work to talk to this elusive Alexandra Rodriguez lady every rep said was aware of situation and couldn't get a hold of. I expressed my frustration to her once there, she didn't have a clue who I was and said, "we have a problem with our customer service reps not doing their jobs" I was baffled! She finally got a repair scheduled and they came out on October 25th. My first request for repair was for SEPTEMBER 7th. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I was looking to get my whole house done with laminate floors. Express Flooring came out and showed me some samples. Christina was absolutely wonderful! They were able to give me an incredible deal and I signed immediately. They scheduled installation on my days off and the installers were prompt. It took a day and a half for the install and it was so smooth. Remy and Simon were my installers and they took such great care of my furniture and did an amazing job with the floors. The final product looks amazing! Remy took so much pride in his work that it made me feel like he was working on his own home. I am updating my review after the flooring was installed. Let me start by saying the buying process was amazing and we enjoyed seeing how the samples would look in our home before we purchased flooring. Also timing was great. We were giving options for in stock flooring that could be installed the following week. Now for the reason for the 2 star review. Our flooring was laid starting on a Monday. We know with Covid it is common for things to be delayed or to not have enough workers. What was supposed to be a 3 man crew was only 1 guy. He did a decent job on the main part of the flooring. He did miss some caulking and some transition pieces which he later fixed after we brought it to the companies attention. What we still have issue with is our stairs. He left large spaces on the sides of the stair treds claiming its because the wall isn't straight. Interesting take since the stair noses are flush with the wall. When he came to fix it he placed some colored glue in the gaps that did not match the color of the flooring and did not clean up well so some of the glue was left on our wall and the new floors. We called a second time for it to be corrected and he was told by his manager to caulk it which he did. He said later that usually we wouldn't notice any gaps cause there would be quarter round placed there, though this was never an option given to us. Lastly on the landing to the stairs, we noticed one of the flooring pieces was moving away from the riser and leaving a gap. We were told to just kick it back into place whenever it moves. We have called the company again to try and let them rectify this but have not received a call back. Express flooring states they have a lifetime warranty on their product and the installation. Everytime we have called with our concerns, we are met with resistance to help and/or being told that's just the way it is. I wish I had a different experience because the product is so nice and I enjoyed the buying experience. I won't be using or recommending them in the future. read more

Just had a complete new floor with Carpet and laminate done in my house. I read all the previous reviews after they started the work. I was nervous. Fortunately for me they did a great job. The entire house was completed in five days. Our tile was difficult to remove so it took longer than anticipated. However, the workmanship was very good. They did as they said they would do. They moved furniture and put it back where it belonged. They even made suggestions that helped without adding to cost. I was impressed. The company is terrible about returning calls. I called twice and I still haven't received a call back. So main office sucks , but employees did great. Only problem was the dust and having to clean up. They send an email with a video imbedded in the email. Watch the video. I would prefer the salesperson telling me just move pantry items and take pictures off of wall. They will be covered in dust. With this said. I would recommend the group I had working at my house. They did a great job read more

I have so many issues with this company. We had carpet and flooring replaced in Jan 2023. We told the salesman that we want the best pad they have. He said that he would upgrade it for free. This is the worst carpet pad I have ever seen. It feels like there is nothing under the carpet. The salesman said that we would get a free vacation voucher. It never came and my calls and email were ignored. The installers were great. The office, not so much. After 8 mos we have to replace it all because it is so cheap. Once these guys have your money, you will not be able to talk to them again. I have sent several emails for them to come out and finish the crappy trim around the bedroom floor. They just cut the pieces and slapped them on the wall however the trim is white, the ends of each piece are raw wood with no attempt to match or paint them. Now, I have the laminate come up in the bathroom. Should be an easy fix but the installer number and email are silent. What a bunch of amateurs. Made an appointment almost two weeks ago for today to have repairs done on part of the flooring that was not sealed properly to the floor. Got the confirmation text confirming my appointment between 10-12, but no one showed up. I called the number provided in the text and got no answer. I then called the main office around 1230 to see what's going on and the lady put me on hold to call someone and her response shocked the hell out of me. She said "someone will contact me when they're available." I received no calls or text messages, then my door bell rang at 3pm as I was getting ready to go out. The individual was completely oblivious about my appointment times and said he will call his boss, so I agreed so I can talk to the boss as well and of course he too was oblivious about my appointment or he damn sure played the role perfectly. Now mind you, I took time off work for this appointment and this is the level of professionalism I received was an eye opener as to how they treat their customers! Apparently their time is more valuable than mine, they have appointment slots as a ploy and they don't care about you once they get their money! The installation was good the ability of designer to assist it finding right flooring was good the problem comes in getting accurate information and being able to communicate effectively with those doing the work. Designer does contracts and we were told extra materials would be left on sight and that the balance of the flooring and installation would be paid at completion when we would sign off on the job. Yet money was taken from account before job was signed off on and the extra material were not left at our home. That is material that were paid for. When trying to get the problem resolved you can not get a timely answer. For me timely is within a day. Also told they would call before coming and that was only done by warehouse on the first day. After that it was me doing the calling to try and find out when they were going to show back up. Frustrated! read more

Express installed a wood vinyl floor in October by mid December it began curling up on us. When we called and complained they said they would do a moisture test. When the installation was in progress we asked about a moisture barrier and were informed it was not needed. Now, that the floors are curling up they say it's not their fault and have done nothing about it. Except to tell us to call the manufacturing warranty, without giving us a contact number. We checked the box the material came in and it says to use a moisture barrier. read more

Had my floors done in November they started on two rooms but didn't finish those rooms and started on another room. I had to switch beds 2-3 times while they finish my master room. They broke the water line for the refrigerator and tried fixing it but they caused a leak in my wall. The supervisor Leo told me to get a plumber and they would reimburse me for the bill. Well it is February and have not received anything. They hire other people to do the work. They stated they would be finished in 3 days, my floors were finished in 7 days. BE CAREFUL: POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS OF EXPRESS FLOORING I am not one for complaining online about a bad experience with a company, but I couldn't just let this go. I should also add that this was not about the cost or the installation service we received. This was all about the presales experience we received and the blatant lack of communication we received. Let me try and explain. We used this company once before and had to continuously request our contract, breakdown of time and materials and a breakdown of the discounts that were supposed to be applied. After a little bit of phone call fighting we resolved the issue. When it came time to do it again on our second floor, we decided to give them a second chance and this time we thought we were better prepared. My wife had researched the flooring we wanted and we budgeted appropriately. The sales consultant came and understood what we wanted and then went to work on us. Indicating that there was a cheaper flooring that met our pet friendly requirements and was cheaper. This sounded great and when we asked about discounts, he came back and gave us a verbal quote that was AT COST, which was odd to hear. When we asked him about it, he said he had the pull to do this and applied a custom discount as he would if he was completing a deal for a friend or family member. The cost was within budget and we agreed to the price. Electronic signatures were given for credit authorization only and a week later, the installer came in and installed the flooring, but there was a new problem. According the installation breakdown, we were supposed to have a specific brand (Soaring Heights Flooring) in a specific color (Silver Birch). The installer did his job and installed the flooring. When he completed the installation, I asked him if there was a box or at the very least extra pieces that we could use in the event that we chose to purchase additional pieces to replace the other carpeted rooms in our home. When they were shown to me, I quickly realized that the brand was different and while the color was the same, it threw up another red flag. My wife immediately looked online to look for the flooring that was on the installation breakdown, which was NOT found. We quickly reached out to the company where we were avoided, but perseverance paid off and we got someone finally. The company's sales manager informed us that the consultant had the authority to apply custom discounts. We inquired further and asked about a specific discount. There was a reason why. The consultant indicated that the flooring job would cost 10K before the discounts. We had recently seen several ads about a a 68-76% discount, however when we asked about it, we were told the job would have costed 22K and the 60 plus percent discount would apply to the 22K number which we were never quoted. When I asked for proof of the 22K dollar justification based on the square footage, time and materials. Basically the same quote without any discount applied, we were told that would not be sent. They indicated that no company is going to do this, which is also very hard to believe. Why would a company not show a customer all the discounts that prove the bargain or value they are receiving. Keep in mind by the time we finally got someone on the phone, the job was completed. ADVICE TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: Stay away from Express Flooring. Do your homework and ask to see a complete breakdown of time, materials and all other costs as well as specific discounts that are being applied. read more

The sales person was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about the company, but every thing he told us was a lie. I wish we would have read the reviews before purchasing. We were told the job would take 2-3 days at the most. A month after they started it was finally complete. The installers are supposed to be licensed and bonded and the ones we got were not. The first two installers that came claimed to not have the right tools to do the job and weren't aware they were doing the whole, house. While they were waiting for someone to bring them tools they left for lunch and never returned. The second installer came alone even though we were told we would have a crew of 3 or more. He barely got one room done the first day and he didn't come till 1PM. The next day he came at 1PM again and about 6PM my husband found him sleeping on our closet floor. My husband said if your tired go home. The next day he showed up late again and had his teenage daughter with him. She was supposed to be his helper, but all she did was sleep on our couch. By this time he hadn't even finished 3 rooms and the quality of his work was horrible. I told them they needed to send someone else to finish the job. The next installer was very nice, but not licensed. He finished the work and fixed all the issues from the other installer. I took a lot of pictures and contacted several people in the company. None were very helpful! The floors have been done less than two weeks and there is already peeling issues and cracks. We were told the laminate we bought was top of the line and wouldn't do that. I am not impressed at all! I know this review is long and I've only touched on the issues we have had with this company. One of the managers said he would come out and inspect the work when they were finished and we would be compensated for everything. Haven't seen or heard from him yet. Caveat Emptor. Do not use this company! I have never experienced such poor service, workmanship and quality in my life as with Express Flooring. I wish I had read all the reviews before we decided to go with Express Flooring. We installed vinyl floors on our stairs and upstairs. The reason for using them was the speed with which they promised they could do the install. We were notified that they could do the install within two days of the consultant giving us a quote. They did it approximately four days later. Off to a good start. The flooring was really good quality. The first problem however, came with the installation. The individuals installing the wood clearly were sub-standard. I have installed floors myself and have had multiple floors installed in previous homes. They could not properly install the nosing on the stairs. They used a grout that looked awful and after two attempts at trying to fix the problem, the nosing was still detaching from the stair. Based on this I contacted the company and requested an alternate installation crew. The conversations I had with customer service were very poor. The first individual stated that the service manager would contact me within an hour. After an hour and a half I re-contacted the company and another customer service agent stated that the service manager was not there! She was incredibly curt during the conversation. I currently sit with a floor install that is coming apart and will likely have to use another company to revise this situation. Look everywhere first. read more

Received estimate to replace flooring on 2nd floor of my home, but told salespeople who came out not to finalize selections till painting was done to make sure flooring color selections would match. They said no problem, would generate contract / collect down payment and they could come back out if needed to make changes. I called them back about 3 weeks later after painting was finished, realizing I would need to make a flooring revision. Said consultant was not available and would have him call me back. This step has been repeated 3 times with no result despite their already getting my down payment. I finally had to get another company to do job, and telling Express Flooring this trying to get my down payment returned. STILL NO RETURN CALLS. We made a contract to replace the flooring on our stairs from a promo on facebook. The price negotiated was great and we paid an initial deposit. On the scheduled date to install the sales manager called my wife to say he called off the install because the system had a glitch and the sale price was too low and wouldn't meet their expected margin and wouldn't give a proper profit. My wife reminded him that a contract was made and agreed on so there couldn't be a glitch. They are responsible for meeting their obligation. He told her that the job wasn't actually approved because it was sold below the profit margin and they don't do charity work. If that is how they get around their specials and promos, then stay away. I don't know if the charity comment was because are hispanic, however, I am a retired veteran of Iraq/Afghanistan and a working professional and my wife is a teacher. Terrible experience with the Express Flooring. Don't waste your time! I had an appointment for a quote for new flooring for my newly purchased home. The Design Consultant, Luke, came by with his whole PowerPoint presentation to tried to sell me on the company while using very shady and manipulative sales tactics. He was professional and nice in the beginning, but once he got a sense that I was hesitant and potentially not moving forward, he started being verbally aggressive, unprofessional and rude. His original quote for the job ended up being the highest quote I got (~$6k) When I told him, I wasn't sure, he proceeded to talk down on me and tried to get me to move forward anyways. Once I said No for the final time, he smirked and said that the price will go up to $8,000 tomorrow if I don't pay the down payment today, then proceeded to walk away and slammed my front door without saying anything else.
