what a disappointment. I am writing this weeks after my first (and only) visit. I arrived early, filled out the paperwork required... my appointment with Karina was at 10am. At 10:15 she came and collected me. NO acknowledgement of being late, nothing. I decided to pick my battles. The visit was pleasant... I had applied for a specific job that she told me had yet to start interviews. No worries. I sent her additional info pertaining to my qualifications. I knew we would be waiting a bit. So... I waited. And, waited. I finally called two weeks later... seems she is out of office. For weeks. The person taking her tasks while she is out tells me... "they found someone else". Wow. I know that nothing is guaranteed... and there is always someone better qualified. I mean, that's life. BUT... the lack of professionalism here is gob-smacking. Why not piss directly on me? Would NOT recommend this office. The team clearly is not mature or professional enough to handle candidates. Such a let down. read more

Called scheduled a interview when I got there they told me they filled the position waste of time and money

They helped me get a job then the place ended my assignment after a few days and they didn't tell me why. I was showing up on time and doing everything I was told to do. Yet they still ended my assignment. Then I asked if they have other jobs available and they offered me ones with very low salary and I declined. I saw a add on indeed gave them a call and said I want to apply for the job and they said they are big company and want to give others a chance at the job and will let me know if they are hiring multiple people. This place is a huge waste of time. I'd recommend manpower or Volt. Don't waste your time here. read more

This company is horrible and treats people poorly. I was going to use this agency for some staffing needs I had. I chose to walk in and was yelled at by the receptionist. She thought I shouldn't stand where I was. I then got upset and asked for the manager. She refused to get the office manager for me. The owner got back to me repidly via email. After I sent an email to inform him of what was going on. He stated his manager would get back to me right away. She did call me two days later and left me a message while I was on the phone. I returned the all several times trying to get a hold of her. She kept avoiding my phone calls. To date I am still waitning for a resolution. This took place about 3-4 months ago. I tried to walk in one more time and the receptionist asked me to leave because I asked to see a manager and would not tell her why. I have used many agencies and everyone who has been through this one has said how poorly they treat people. The owner seems to allow the team to do whatever they want with no reprocussions. They treat everyone with no respect and have created nothing shy of a hostile enviroment for everyone from potential clients to employees. If you choose to walk in good luck read more

I went to this website because I thought it'd be a suitable company to work for. I filled out my resume and I got an email a couple days ago, they wanted to schedule an immediate interview. Of course I went, but I went to a hidden part of San marcos and I already felt like my hunch was saying " this is gonna be a waste of time" I was right. I went to the front desk,and the lady escorted me to do paperwork. ..normally I would fill out paperwork if I got the job but no, that wasn't the case. I filled out the paper work,on top of that a lousy test to see if I have skills to work as an admin assistant. I spent 30 minutes figuring this test out and the lady kept coming back every 5 mins on how I was doing. She started getting irritated with me cause I couldn't figure out one question,and she stammered "SKIP IT,& go to the next one". I didn't feel comfortable. I was dressed for success too.. the girl next to me was doing a test and she was wearing jeans and a t- shirt. I soon began to think I should walk out. . And then I finally finished the test, I couldn't find the old lady. So. I sat there waited and looked over my test.. and she came back Why didn't you tell me you were done? ! I said because you weren't at your desk. So I went to the "interview". I had a few experiences in the field, but I'm not dumb. She asked for my salary minimum requirement, I said ##, and she goes,that's too high, you'd start at $12/hr. She said do you want to call it quits?I looked at her, and I so badly wanted to yell, but no I kept it cool, and shook her hand and walked out. I was called into the vista office and while waiting I recieved a better offer and decided to leave and not use the service. Even after telling them I will not need them they still called my references. NOT. OK.! I have been with Express Pros over 6 months now. They got me thru the hiring process much quicker than the other agencies I was working with. I turned down another agency to go with Express Pros as they had a great job waiting for me. I wish I had gone to them sooner as my co-worker had recommended. They have always been very quick to respond to any requests I had. I have never had a problem with my paycheck being on time and accurate. One time when I had a personal situation come up, Adriana Segoviano at their Front Desk went well out of her way to accommodate me. I just want to mention I am white, and there is no bias there. Also, I had been facing much age discrimination, but they made me feel respected and valued. Though I am have not been hired as a permanent at the company I have been working for, it is due to the needs of that company, and not the fault of Express Pros. read more

This is the worse company ever. The receptionist was too busy trying to get the gossip from Rebecca and the other lady. I was watching customer's come in the office with complaints and the receptionist was being rude and talking down to the customer's. If it wasn't for these people to work for them, they wouldn't have a job. It took Rebecca 20 minutes to look over my resume and gossip some more with the other ladies. A company pays around $25 an hour to this temp agency to hire workers and the temp pays the workers no more than $12 dollars. You think they would give better service. Rebecca needs to learn how to do customer service along with the other ladies. I was told I would get a call in the morning and never did. I emailed and called and two days later finally got Rebecca on the phone. She claimed not to have work, when indeed the website had plenty of jobs listed. If you're ever looking for a suitable Job, I advise you not to go to this company located in Carlsbad. Lydia is a recruiter there and she is a recruiter with a snobby attitude and told one person who was really looking for a job that she wouldn't send them to a job site because of their pants. She is rude and really needs to work on her people skills. On top of that she thinks her shit don't stink is the impression I had gotten, she was no help at all and there are people who are really out here looking for work and they may not have the best clothes due to financial hardship, I mean why do you think their even there to get a job because they're going through a hard time. People always talk and say oh there's plenty of job opportunities out here but recruiters like her are ignorant and aren't willing to give people a real chance, that's wrong with society they judge based off of some pants or how a person looks without looking at they're work ethic and their abilities.. The worst agency around. You come into the office they are all in back talking. When they are done with their conversation then they come over and ask if you need help. Do the regular paper work, interview, etc... They never find you a job.. You call to speak to your rep and they are always out to lunch, no matter what time you call.. read more

I worked for Express Employment and I was not impressed from the beginning, they spoke Spanish right in front of me, I find that an insult because I don't know what they are saying, they could be talking about me behind my back. I was sent to a job to sort out boxes and unload trucks. I was the only white person there except for the owners, I worked my ass off for 10 dollars an hour and again no one could speak English. I just called them today to see if they had some work but they black balled me, they said the employer did not want me back which is a lie because they liked my work and gave me a coupon for 50% off anything in the store. They don't like me because of the yelp response. Don't work for them they will ruin your career specially if you are white. read more
