Treated my wife who was in excruciating pain with bad pancreatitis like a junkie. Refused to give her more pain medication and didn't give a shit about how much pain she was in. The doctor had even said to give her more but had left. Watch out for the skeleton blonde in the evenings, she's a miserable person who loves taking out her own misery on anyone she can. Went in with a laceration that was becoming painful and oozing. My palm was basically glaced at by the doctor. I was sent on my way with a rx for antibiotics and a referral. I had to stop the nurse to ask if there was anything extra I could do to care for it. She said to use soap and water and to keep it covered. "So basically do what wasn't done here?" This place is awesome. They saw me for a nasty cut in between my thumb and index finger. They recommended stitches, and gave me 3 of them. The wound healed well, and they called to check on me the day after the cut. They did a wonderful job of taking care of me. 11 days later, Dr. Jason Long (the same doctor who put the stitches in) removed them effortlessly. The wound is well healed, with no problems at all regarding infection or bleeding. I want to add that Dr. Jason Long and ExpressER did all this during the ever so dangerous COVID crisis. I know that this location is doing their best to help coronavirus patients whilst attending to trauma patients like myself. They are effectively separating trauma patients like myself from potential coronavirus patients and vice versa. My only complaint is the wait time I've experienced here. I understand the pandemic may be complicating how quickly they can administer help, but even for quick procedures expect to spend extra time here. Was it fast yes very and the nurse I had was not explaining things to me properly. The nurse walked up to me and started to try to put medicine in my IV. She didn't tell me what the medication was for and why the doctor even ordered it in the first place. I had to ask her and she was very short with me. The doctor seemed nice but again was very short with me. The literally we're giving me discharge papers with no communication about any of my results or what happened with my chest x-ray and labs. I told the nurse that your sending me out of here and I don't know what is going on and she said he didn't come in here? I said no and I kid you not he had one foot in and one foot out giving my results and it took him maybe 1 minute of his time. I was telling him that the nurse didn't inform me of what the medication was and he was hearing none of it. I've been in medical field for 10+ years and never did I feel they way I did there. I went because of the amazing reviews. Never again for me!! UPDATE: Dr. Dies called me and checked on me today and was so nice! He said I can come in free of charge and he would give me whatever I needed. An ear or medication whatever. He was so sweet and apologized and said he would talk with others and I really appreciated that so I may give them another try if he is there. I took my 5 year old daughter in for fever for the last three days and congestion for 5. They swabbed her for covid and it was negative, thankfully. They also tested for strep. The doctor was very sweet and attentive. The entire staff was very nice . The doctor heard something in one of her lungs . She got an X-ray that was in house and we got results back very quickly . She needed antibiotic treatment . We were in and out in less than 90 minutes for all those tests, X-rays, and a diagnosis . 10 stars in my opinion ! read more

The front desk receptionist was so very rude and disrespectful and made our check in so frustrating and kept arguing as if she were purposely trying to antagonize the situation and when asked for someone else to talk to she refused and told me to come with my sick child back tomorrow because my id wasn't visible and my husband was my sons step father so his I'd wouldn't be accepted bcuz he wasn't biological father I had to send insurance card by email and she kept saying she didn't receive the 4emails I sent also my sons father id the four times he sent them as if she was intentionally trying to not do her job and go out of her way to make checking in difficult and telling me to go somewhere else or come back tmrw she also gave me a complaint phone number and when I called she answered she wasnt wearing a name badge and she was the Only person who could help me I almost lost my composure and was near tears when someone finally came to the front and helped us right away and she was giggling when we were dismissed as if a emergency room visit and sick child isn't enough to deal with she was so determined to turn us away someone hopefully will read this and take a second look at who is in charge of dealing with their business and the public and customer service in an emergency setting #bad for business #almostmademeget out of character I believe her name was Desiree thfrom read more

I came in feeling like death. I was wheezing, 1.5 weeks of feeling terrible with cough, fever, generalized weakness and overall malaise. I sweat all over the gurney I was on. Dr. Kindervater is crazy smart, gave me pain relief on site and prescribed meds for continuum of care. As a medic in the area Express ER is a secret too well kept. My family went here for covid testing and was told that r insurance would cover it we just need to pay co pay. Got a bill saying we owe 2000 each. My son did not have insurance so they said itt would be 200. If I would have known this I would have paid the 200 for my self and my husband. Don't recommend this place for testing. read more

Staff tended to my needs urgently and there was NO wait time. I was assessed, x-rayed, and treated within 20 minutes of walking through the door. Staff was very courteous and proffesional. I recommend Express ER for all of your emergency needs. I have not visited a hospital emergency room since I became a patient at the organization. Isolated rooms bring great solace during the pandemic. Most noticeably, the compassion shown by each member of the healthcare teams are unmatched. I highly recommend giving them a try. Very quick! The most friendliest and attentive staff ever. There's snacks and drinks in the waiting area, which really helps when you are a mom with a couple of kids and they get hungry and restless lol. We have all been sick one by one, and I have had a long week lol. So it was nice to give them a snack The nurse gave my daughter a juice box to drink after her throat swab. I had my 2 yr old with me and she gave her one as well. Both nurses were exceptional and I could tell that they love what they do. Dr. Smith was attentive, caring and nurturing towards my child. This made me feel kind of emotional, because it makes you feel good when some else is caring towards your kid. We were in and out in a flash! Since it was late they gave my daughter a dose of antibiotics since they knew I wouldn't be able to get any that night and sent me on my way with prescriptions. I would give 10 stars if I could. This place is the best emergency room in Temple, TX. They have the nicest staff and doctors that greeted us from arrival until we left. Their rooms are very welcoming and they have lots of toys and Netflix on tv. It's also have fast service compare to other, the place is also clean and feels very welcoming.
