I had a disappointing experience with Margarita's Dress Studio…read more I originally came in for dress alterations and ended up purchasing a yellow dress for $150. Based on our conversations, I believed I was buying a unique piece from the studio. Later, I discovered what appeared to be the exact same dress being sold on Shein for around $40. Since I had purchased the dress for a high-profile dinner and believed it was a unique design, I felt misled and very disappointed. I contacted Margarita to discuss the situation. During a phone conversation, she acknowledged my concerns and suggested she could offer a significant discount on a future project, as we had discussed having a custom blazer made. However, when I later arrived with fabric for the blazer and again raised the issue of the dress, she told me there was no return policy and did not honor the discount that had been discussed. What made the experience even more frustrating was the way I was treated in the studio. While we were in the middle of discussing my concerns, another customer arrived and Margarita immediately shifted her attention to them. After waiting, we resumed our conversation, only for the same thing to happen again when another customer entered. I felt that my time and concerns were not being respected. The combination of feeling misled about the dress and the lack of professional customer service left me with a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this business based on my experience.

We had no idea how this was going to turn out. Margaryta created a masterpiece! It is absolutely stunning. Grace is thrilled with the Christening gown. Working with Margaryta was so easy. I have cleaned similar down jackets at other dry cleaners in a different state with excellent results. Branded jackets always come with proper care instructions, which were clearly not followed here. WARNING: Horrible Prom Dress Alterations!!!…read more I took my daughter's one-of-a-kind prom dress to Center Square Cleaners by accident and it was a horrible mistake. I thought CSC was Sarah Dressmaker but they are clearly not and they are inept at formal dress alterations, not to mention, they are egregiously overpriced. FIRST VISIT: I entered CSC thinking it was Sarah Dressmaker. It wasn't until my daughter had her dress on and the safety pins were marking the required alteration that I inquired about the business name. The woman told me Sarah Dressmaker was located behind CSC but assured me that she does many formal gown and prom dress alterations. My daughter's dress had one opaque layer and three layers of sheer tulle that required hemming. Total cost: $175. I was shocked at the price for this alteration but I thought that was the going rate. It wasn't until I called Sarah Dressmaker on the way home and asked her for a price to hem a four layer prom dress...her cost was between $60-100. SECOND VISIT: I returned to CSC one week later to pick up the dress. I wanted to be sure the hem was perfect before I left so I had my daughter try the dress on. I was horrified to see so many jagged, uneven edges that looked like a child cut the dress. The woman took a pair of scissors to the tulle in an attempt to correct the mess. There was also white chalk on the tulle that was never removed. I was told that they would fix the dress if I could leave it overnight. Before leaving, I inquired about the exorbitant cost for what was a extremely sub-par alteration. The owner said her prices are her prices and she doesn't price according to other cleaners. I asked two other cleaners in the area what they would charge for the same alteration and the highest price was $120. I asked the owner if she would reduce the price since I had to come back multiple times but she refused. Instead, she offered to make my daughter a mask using the extra material that was cut from the dress. She said she would only charge me $10 for this mask - this was supposed to be a significantly discount - but she failed to realized that there was a sign hanging in her store advertising custom special masks for $10. THIRD VISIT: I returned the following day to pick up the dress without my daughter. I was told everything was perfect but once I got home I noticed more jagged edges. I will never return to CSC!!!

When my daughter tried on the dress after the first alteration, the top did not have the fit my daughter wanted (bra cups we chose). Cindy made quick alterations while we were there and made sure the dress fit perfectly before we left without charging extra for the changes. She is terrific at what she does and very friendly. Plan ahead, especially near prom season becasue she is in high demand. Glad to have this great resource so close to my home; will definitely use her services again and again! The seamstress agreed to make a minor change that she thought would take care of the fit issue. When I came back the second time, she had taken in the dress in the back so that it now fit me perfectly! I was so pleasantly surprised! In addition, she didn't charge me at all for this extra work. (I guess that's because we hadn't agreed on it.) I was very impressed at the thoughtfulness, consideration, and care she took with this dress!
