I did a walk on a Sunday evening around 6:30pm. I'm not from the area but needed a quick brow service at an affordable price. Usually I pay $5 but aware that this is NYC, I walked by this establishment and $7 definitely is on the lower price spectrum. Was kinda hesitant to walk in as Im committed to my local brow business but sis, my brows were caterpillars And my schedule was preventing me from meeting my threading girl. Gotta bite the bullet. There was only one girl that day attending a customer. She was serious but professional and attentive. I waited for 5 minutes thinking if she was either going to slaughter my brows or finesse them. This lady FINESSE'D my brows. She was quick, communicative and I can sense she was paying attention to detail as she gave me a nice shape. Don't do your eyelash lift here. The lady left clumps in my lashes and when I told her she yelled at me and I had to clean up my eye area myself. The result is really unprofessional for the price (70 dollars). My lashes have already started falling out and they are rock solid. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. read more

Horrendous lash lift - my lashes are curling into my eye lids and it looks horrible. She left the product on 20 min too long (which I now know after a quick google search about lash lifts) and also did a shoddy job at the application. I didn't even want a lash lift and the woman practically forced me into one, told me 5 times to get it "so that you look beautiful," implying I wasn't beautiful already apparently. WTF. read more

Unprofessional and don't know what they are doing. My lashes and brows look horrendous.

It's been less than 24 hours after my service and half my eyelashes have fallen out on my left eye and about a third of them on my right. I paid $75 for this. This was my first time getting mink eyelashes and I'm highly disappointed. I have put no water, no oils, no makeup on my face as instructed, so there is no reason for this other than sub-par skills. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and I did like the job they did on my eyebrows. I can't give more than a 1 star considering how much money I lost on the eyelashes. read more

I'm so happy I found this place I could cry! I haven't found a good brow place since I moved to NYC - four years ago! Honestly, I haven't had my brows done in a long time (like a year at least) and they were a mess!!! The girls here are so friendly and professional and the threading was nearly painless. They recommended an eyebrow tint as I have super blonde eyebrows that are about three shades lighter than my actual hair roots (odd AF). So I said yes because my baby shower is this weekend and my brows NEVER show in photos and Lord knows we will be taking A LOT! The tint looks fantastic and is a true light brown - not that nasty burgundy brown I've seen on so many people. The best part was the complimentary head and scalp massage! Updating this review since I had a pretty disappointing experience here today. Came in and was seated right away, since there was only one other person, but then had 2 more customers come in after me and have their services start before mine. Maybe they had an appointment but that wasn't communicated to me. I wasn't happy with my tinting and when I tried to explain that they had extended the dye too far inward, she kept telling me "it's good, it's good". They also were apparently too busy for the complimentary head massage, which I realize is complimentary, but it was a big reason I went out of my way to come here over more convenient places! Don't think I'll be back for eyebrow services again :( read more

I've been getting my brows done here for a long time maybe 5+ years. The owner is always welcoming and accommodating and runs her business very well. Even when I stopped working in the city, I make the drive every 2 weeks or so because I don't like when anyone else does my brows. I get threading and tinting, and also threading to remove facial hair. They are clean, thorough, safe, and make sure you leave feeling good about your appearance. If I can give this place zero stars, I would. The woman who did my eyebrows was very rude, not welcoming at all, kept telling me to fix myself to be closer to her (Ive been getting my brows threaded for 18 years, I know what to do) kept taking calls while threading my eyebrows. Afterwards, she asked me if "they were good", I assumed she meant the way my brows looked, which they were (my eyebrows don't need a lot of maintenance) then walked to collect payment. I asked her if she can put something on my brows to soothe them (they were irritated) she then replied very rudely, "that's why I asked if they were good". She didn't bother with a "thank you". I was going to give her a $5 tip but gave her a $1 because her service and attitude was horrible. First time coming here - got eyebrows threaded and tinted. I have never had my eyebrows threaded before and I could not believe how great the shape looked after! The tint was a great color as well. I'm giving this place 1 star only because the service which I asked for, "natural"-looking eyelash extensions was anything but- I've had them done before elsewhere and chose to try Express Brows because of convenience and lack of time-- the lashes were heavy, long and black, and attached with a glue that made my eyes water and sting for over an hour afterwards - very bad sign!! So I randomly walked in one day to get my underarms waxed, Nikita did this service to me and it was so good that I decided to return and try them out for my eyebrows. I am very picky to who I let thread my eyebrows, but I took a leap of faith and was very satisfied with the results. Kumi did my brows and upper lip and she was just exceptional. I told her how I liked them and she did just that. After Kumi was done, she and Nikita advised me to get the nose extraction for my blackheads which I wasn't so sure about b/c I never got one before. Came here the other day after they closed down my fav brow spot but since this is a close to my place as the other decided to give it a chance. Its pretty small i think they only have like 3 chairs to do service but they are very quick in a good way. The women who did my eyebrows was quick and did a great job. They did a decent job on my lashes but were much quicker than other places so I felt it was a little rushed. For COVID they did lots to keep you and them safe. Wore face mask the whole time, hand sanitizer and take you temp. I would recommend this place for a quick eyebrow cleaning! read more

I went there to get an upper lip wax and saw the lady double dip. When I questioned her about it, she said yes only for eyebrows and lips. I work in healthcare and I can tell you there's plenty of bacteria on every part of the skin. I'm not even a germaphobe, but that's disgusting. I've never seen any place do this before. Unsanitary! Nieja (spelling?) is the BEST! To understand my unique pair of eyebrows just read "Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak. She tamed the feral beast I once called a face; shaped my brows, tidied up my hairline, waxed my lips. And while I still mourn the loss of my mustache, I have to admit I am much cuter without it. I really appreciate her swift and painless craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
