I ran into an issue today that I've never experienced and rubbed me the wrong way:…read moreIn the clipper magazine, Maximum Tan inserted 3 coupons: $10 off a package, 1 free tan, and 1 free spa service (this is red light, hydrobed, and I think something else - so not tanning). My plan was to go day by day: day1, spa service. Day 2 free tan. Day 3 $10 off package. Why would I buy a package before using the free tan? So day 1, used the coupon for hydrobed. On this day Heather said there's $1 tans tomorrow. Cool. I go back the next day and tan for $1.10. Day 3, I go to use my other coupon for free tan. Heather said "didn't you use a coupon already?" "I said yes but that was for free spa service, not free tan" she said "yea no you can't use another coupon you can only use because then people just use the free coupon and dont come back so we only allow one coupon per year" I stood there shocked and said "ok I'll be back Friday". I walk to my car. No where on the coupon does it say you can't use more than one coupon per year! What a joke. I was at zoom last year and their price was cheaper .. I wanted to come back to Maximum because I wanted to alternate between beds and booths but to deny someone their coupon - totally different day - totally different service - is a joke. I thought this lady was nice until today but it was insulting today. I have never experienced this ever. I was going to come back on Friday for the last coupon for $10 off a package but after that, I won't support a business that does that. And it actually worked in my favor, as a lightbulb went off to call my gym / as my insurance pays a basic planet fitness membership and I called them - they have beds and booths and for $10 a month I can upgrade to the black card ... this place not honoring their coupons actually saved me almost $40 a month and they lost a customer and earned a bad review. I'm not sure is Heather chose this rule herself or its maximum tan. I really don't care. Like the other reviews say: rude place. I actually did think she was nice at first but I guess she looks at you like you're cheap if you use a coupon? Don't know, don't care, thank you for not honoring the coupon you saved me money. By the way. The PF black card : if your insurance doesn't cover a gym membership, it's only $24.99 a month. Still cheaper for the entire membership than coming here.

This is my go-to spot for a spray tan when I am in need of that "summer glow"…read more Unfortunately, working indoors 50+ hours of the week really limits my outdoor sun-bathing time. Not to mention, that it's more dangerous with the UV exposure. With weddings, showers, picnics, parties, and any other summer event, I always want to have that natural looking summer glow. This location, on the borderline of Depew & Cheektowaga, is quite convenient for me, since it's across the street from Wegman's (aka my 2nd home). This location is extremely pristine; clean & neat. The employees are all friendly and helpful. A spray tan will run you around $25.00 (depending on the level you choose; levels 1-3), but Zoom Tan still manages to make it affordable by offering other options. Usually once a week, I receive a text message from them saying that "Today is $2 Tuesdays! Spray tan for only $2!" That's quite a deal compared to $25. They also offer monthly packages. The monthly package that allows you to spray tan unlimited is $49.95. It may sound like a lot, but if you are going to get a spray tan more than twice in one month's time, it will pay for itself. You can cancel after your month is up. The best part about Zoom Tan's spray tanning: You are literally in and out in less than 4 minutes!!! (I mean, maybe longer if it takes you a while to take your clothes off and put back on). For a busy girl, always on the run, this is the main reason I come here. Nothing is more important to me than my time. There are multiple Zoom Tan locations over WNY, however I can't speak for the interiors and services of those, since I have only been to this one. PS - NO CASH! They do not accept cash, at all. Everything has to be debit/credit.

Do not go here for a spray tan. Bottom of my feet were absolutely destroyed. She told me to rub my…read morefeet with hand sanitizer after to get it off. Obviously didn't work. She also rolled my body with a paint roller... to get the excess spray off. The whole experience was awful. The spray tan turned out terrible and splotchy. Do not go here. This is a cautionary tale about trusting the staff here. It's got great beds and cheap prices, but…read morethe staff doesn't care about you at all. I am assuming that they want to get you burned so that you don't come in for your tanning packages at this point. I have been going here for 3 years. I have always blindly trusted the staff. Out of the 4 month long packages I purchased over three years, I have only been there to tan less than 10 times. This is because my usual experience goes like this: I walk in full of moxy and enthusiasm. "This month, i'm going to do it right!" I say to myself. I walk in. I buy a month long membership for 20 or 30 dollars with their awesome student discount. I ask the lady at the counter "hey, how long do you think I should go in for? I'm pretty pale." at this point, she goes into a trance, and consults her star charts in her memory mansion, sees where Mars aligns with Jupiter, subtracts it by 3, and doubles it if it's under 10. That is how good she is at telling you how long to go in for. I have been going here for 3 years on and off and have bought month long memberships 4 times. Over these four months of memberships over 3 years, I have only been able to tan approx. 10 times. Because every single time I go in, I ask the same girl at the counter "how long do ya think I oughta go in for?" and she sets me up for what she thinks is right. Every time I walk out feeling great. Every time I end up looking like I got stranded naked in the desert for a week. So here I am, on the first day of my month long membership, burned again on my first day after 7 minutes in the strongest type booth. She saw my blonde hair and green eyes. She saw how pale I was in the dim basement light. She gave me 7 minutes, which was twice more than I could take. 4 hours later, red as a beet, my night is ruined, I hope my week isn't. Thanks, whats-her-name, just continue to talk to that really bronze old dude.
