Jonathan was amazing and asked a ton of questions to ensure everything was tuned based on my taste. After tuning, we sat in the vehicle and fine-tuned even more. He adjusted settings based on my feedback and never rushed. In the end, everything was perfect and based on my tastes. Outstanding shop and crew! This is old school customer service where time is spent answering questions and giving you the best options for your budget (which in car audio can vary massively). So I asked for install only and I would buy my own components. They tried to charge me $900 to install a sub and amp. That's crazy. I hate these places that try to make a days pay from one customer. I had window tint put on my truck from Explicit almost 9 years ago after I purchased it new. I noticed an imperfection in the tint on the passenger window this past Christmas. I contacted Explicit and they scheduled me in within a week to replace the window tint. The company replaced the window film with no questions asked at no cost to me because same was warranted. Explicit put in a normal system of focal speakers and JL amp. Sounded really good. They convinced me to put in a dsp for upgrade. $1500 later it was in but the 900 watt JL amp did not have enough RCA inputs to run the back speakers. Just had fronts and no training for me, even though they promised training. I bought a laptop and screwed with programming for 2 months before giving up. Paid several hundred more to have the dsp removed and original system partially put back. Sub volume control in the console was not replaced. And the tweeters were blown. And a connector for the dsp lost so I had to buy one before I could sell unit. Overall, I spent a lot of money and ended up where I started. DSPs are very difficult to program and set up. Explicit made $$ without warning me of difficulty to set up and gave no training. Not going back there. read more

If it was possible, I would give zero stars! I left extremely disappointed in their services. Not only had my car tint peeled after 2 years, but my warranty was not honored. Please be advised the "life time warranty" is NOT life time. If you have a crack in your windshield they will not tint your car AND they will charge you in full once your window is replaced instead of honoring their warranty. I am disgusted that a company would treat their customers this poorly. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

Went in to get my train horns repaired and was happy with the service so I decided to have cameras added to my truck. Price agreed upon, Parts ordered. added a switch for my rear LED lights. They had my truck 2 days. When I called them I was told the cameras they ordered wouldn't work and that the switch they installed was going to cost $510.48! Well that seemed excessive! I don't mind paying a premium for premium work but as I soon found out the work was amateurish at best. The switch they put in did not line up with the other existing switch. The techs excuse, "Once you drill a hole you can't un-drill it!" Seriously! The panel they removed was not re- installed properly. They did not wipe down their fingerprints that were all over the interior of my truck. There were extra parts left in the passenger seat and there were interior screws in the console that they failed to reinstall. Overall I am not happy in the least and can not recommend this company. read more

I had my 06 Tacoma Access Cab tinted today with explicit customs over on 192. The staff was very helpful with my multitude of questions for them and knowledgeable too. The tint after the fact wasn't as dark as I thought it would be and they were understanding of that and were willing to work with me so I didn't have to pay full price if I did decide to retint. They did recommend to try it for a few days to see if I end up liking it. It's been less than 24 hrs and I think they gave some great advice since I am starting to like the tint and am leaning towards keeping the tint. There is a lifetime warranty that covers the tint which is nice. I dropped the truck off around 2pm with just a phone call to confirm availability and drove off with the truck around 2:45-3pm. Super fast and efficient which was very nice. Highly recommend this place for your vehicle needs. I definitely will be returning in the future if I decide to do a viper alarm or audio upgrade. read more

Explicit has now tinted 5 of my vehicles I just had them do a re-tint on my 95 Mustang GT. They removed my almost 25 year-old tint without any mess. They installed black vinyl on the inside top of the rear window, where it was never tinted due to small dots on the glass from the factory. She now looks perfect! Great customer service. They tinted the windows in my new Honda a few years ago and when the rear window started to bubble, they took the old tint off and redid it, taking special care not to scrape the rear defroster off. Not only were they able to repair the window, they finished ahead of promised time. They were thoughtful and courteous, and very professional. A very clean, new, modern facility with spotless spacious work areas and a beautiful spacious showroom. I was seeking to have auto window tinting removed from my Cadillac that the dealer installed prior to sale. I called Art's and they quoted me $100 and the next available appointment in 42 days, for a "removal job". Then I called Mike at Explict and he said he could do it at 3 PM the same day, $80 an hour, estimated $80 to $120 all depending on the difficulty of the film removal. They took me immediately upon arrival at 2:55 pm and 45 minutes later, Ron had finished removing all of the tint and cleaned the windows using a steaming tool, and skill. They adjusted the total price to $60 because it took less time than allocated. I like business that way. Ron got a $20 tip, I was on my way and got exactly what I wanted that day, while I waited, reading and looking out the big picture window facing 192. I write Yelp reviews when I get great service and when I get bad service. This was one of the great ones. It's a custom auto shop with a high end vibe, professional all the way. Good review. In my experience Explicit Customs is the best automotive window tinting in Brevard County. The location is new top to bottom, very nice, very large, and very clean. I had a 9am appointment for my small suv to be tinted and they started working immediately when I arrived. replaced factory speakers on a BMW 135i convertible...great folks...explained all my options to improve the current system without interfering with the integrated controls...went with a simple speaker system replacement as step #1, with eventual integration, sub-woofers, and added amps as next steps if the speaker upgrade wasn't enough...took my car in at the appointed time and went to the beach...they were done early as the installation didn't take as long...and because of that, the price was much lower than the estimate...and the system now sounds awesome...cranked up with the top down, and the sound is amazing...would trust these guys with any work on my car...and they are all nice guys too...highly recommended! read more

I wanted to share with you my great experience with Explicit Customs. I first called to see what there hours were and ended up speaking with Herb. After speaking with him about what I was looking for and wanted to get installed he suggested that I come down and look at what they where currently working on, it was in line with what I wanted done. After driving up to Melbourne from Vero Beach and looking at the install and talking with Scott I was rather impressed. Scott I think is the lead installer and is extremely knowledgeable. Scott and I discussed some options and after a little over a week ( which he was very patience me with when I would call him...several times) we finally put it all together. I ended up having them do a complete custom install for me which consisted of (3) 10" JL 10TW3, (1) 1200/1 HD JL amp bass amp, (1) 800/1 JL mid high amp, Audison Bit 1 ( awesome processor) and a battery. I have to say the whole experience was above and beyond what I had expected. The customer service with Herb, Scott and Bill ( the owner) was excellent. Also once the install was complete they had provided me with a flash drive of what the install looked like as they were doing it. I am returning to have them install Focal speakers in the fronts (3 ways) and rears in January. I would highly recommended these guys as they are passionate about the car audio, expanding there knowledge ( Scott was away when I wanted the install on training so we pushed my install back until he returned) and customer service. read more
