I called ITech and spoke to Tony. His calm demeanor and reassurance on the phone was comforting. He gave me the choice of waiting for Monday to do the repairs, or pay the additional emergency charge and have them come out right away. I opted for the right away and was glad I did. Tony plus two others arrived around 4PM and by 7PM everything was replaced and back to normal. The entire time there, Tony kept me informed every step of the way as well as making minor corrections to my circuit panel. I really appreciated how professional and clean all three of them were . The owners are lovely and are excellent at customer service. It reminds me of a store of the 70s where customers are treated with respect . When you buy a fixture or mirror you return in a few days and it is professionally wrapped so as not to break in transit to your home. I had a number of questions, and all were answered fully (even how such an older building could support so much electric draw). I found a shade on a lamp that I really liked. They called the company to see if the shade could be ordered separately. I was given product number, the color I wanted, and the price. It was such a pleasant experience. Full…read moredisclosure, I only spoke to Greg on the phone for a consultation because our schedule did not align and I needed someone to come out urgently. A few weeks ago, I noticed a burning smell in my basement and followed it to the electrical closet. I spoke to Greg on the phone about the issue and he was very professional and honest of what he could and could not do about the elusive issue. Most importantly, he did not use any scare tactics. Unfortunately, he had a client that day so my husband found another company to come to diagnose the issue. After opening and thoroughly examining the electrical box, the person could not find the problem and recommended an escalation to perform a full diagnosis, which would be nearly $500. I called Greg and he talked to me out of my panic. He also recommended a solution to test for the source myself. Later that day, my husband and I took Greg's advice and we were able to narrow it down to our home security system. Having an electrical issue is always scary, but I am grateful to find someone like Greg who is honest, and actually goes out of his way to educate his customers.

Never been a big FAN of The Sprinkler Company; I begrudgingly used them as they were the provider…read morewhen I bought the house, but this last time will be the last time I use them. They kind of have this "we're the only game in town" air about them. They aren't big on customer service, and they tell YOU when they will be coming to service your stuff. Even with that, the few times I have used them, the tech they sent out was at least personable. The LAST dude they sent here was miserable. He knocked on the door, and when I opened it, he had an attitude about my fence being locked. (It's locked for this EXACT REASON: service people just open it and walk into my yard. I have 2 dogs that have gotten out TWICE before I added locks to the gates.) So, I unlock the gate and explain the situation to him. He drops a few F-bombs before getting to work. I go inside, and HAND TO GOD, MAYBE 10 minutes later, I look outside and he is gone! I literally thought he left to GET something, because there's no way he finished and left that quickly. So I go outside to check, and everything is unhooked, and yes, he is done and left. I check the controller module, and he left it on, and in the "run" position. Had I not checked, this thing would have been calling for the system to run all winter. The last tech turned it off and unplugged it, before putting the cable away. This dude just barely did anything, then pieced out, with the system still running zone 6. I was SO taken aback, I was like, "maybe they just decided to just leave, and not charge me." Nope. Like 3 days later, I get an invoice for $108 dollars. The ONLY reason I paid it is to have proof that they "winterized it," should the pipes freeze this winter and the system needs to be repaired. Since living here, I've learned that there ARE other lawn services, and I will 100% be utilizing them in the future. Never again for The Sprinkler Company. The only reason it isn't a 1 star is that the OTHER techs they sent the other times, were at least thorough.
