I hired Expert Water Removal to address water damage in my kitchen and living room caused by a burst pipe. While the initial equipment setup was quick, my experience with the company's business practices was extremely disappointing. When the equipment was installed on a Tuesday, the representative stated it would be removed on Friday following humidity monitoring. The company failed to show up on Friday or Saturday, leaving the machines running unnecessarily through Sunday. Despite this, they invoiced me for the entire duration, including the two extra days when the area had already reached humidity goals--data I verified myself. This oversight increased my final bill by approximately 32%. Because their costs exceeded my insurance coverage, they are now holding me responsible for the out-of-pocket difference for services that were unnecessary. It feels as though this company leverages the stress and vulnerability of homeowners in emergency situations to pad their invoices. I would advise others to look elsewhere for restoration services and to monitor their drying equipment data closely if you do choose to work with them. read more

I had a large labor intensive job due to a toilet leaking on the floor and into surrounding walls and the sink cabinet. The company needed to hire out to different companies to complete the task. All the men were courteous, some more than others. Most of them were not much for talk, but they worked well. some small items were broken, but it was minimal. The bad thing is nobody told me about it. I discovered it for myself. The job was completed in a month. It seemed to me like a long wait. No one asked if anything should not be thrown out before tossing it, nor helped me move the furniture back in place. But they were all men working for a woman, and I guess that is just the way of the "manosphere" that says they know better than you, especially if you are female. My condo had a leaky pipe, which led to mold. This company came and put in dehumidifiers. After that was completed, I was left for over a week in total chaos...no bathroom, closet etc. They finally came back for the demolition on Thursday and Friday. I was assured that the job would be completed on Monday. Just got a call, they are not coming due to other more pressing jobs. Their remediation work was damage everything possible so it has to be replaced, even though it never needed to be damaged if they removed things properly. Their other side of business is renovating. Well the workers had no clue about codes, insulation, cement board, or installing shower taps. I thought I made the right choice with this company. Seemed to be on top of things and attentive at first but things changed as soon as i signed the contract for the work. The call, texts and emails went unresponsive from the rep handling my job. The mold remediation company that initially came out was good and professional but the installation crew, not so much. They left parts never explaining what they were. Never replaced my outlet covers. I had to Order replacements myself and ended up ordering the wrong kind because of course, I knew nothing about outlet covers. They did a crappy finishing job on my baseboard molding, paint, and cracked a tile in the corner and left my wall tiles scratched and chalky looking. Even when I tried to clean them, the just don't look the same. I called and told them about some damage done to one of the trim pieces and other issues and they just dismissed it. I have been trying to get a hole in my ceiling fixed that their technician put his foot through, there telling me that it will cost extra money to repair the ceiling that their tech clearly put his foot through. This ceiling should have been fixed by now. Instead I have insulation invading my living space when it gets windy, all I want is my ceiling fixed and painted. On 6/24/2020 @ approximately 11:30 I called and asked for Santos, apparently he is the General Manager there, I was informed that he was in a closed door meeting and will return my call. Santos returned my call and admits that their tech clearly put his foot through the ceiling, but does not accept any responsibility in making the repairs as needed. I made an advanced appointment for a mold assessment for my personal home. To preface this appointment, I had previously used this company in the spring of 2022, for the initial remediation and had to pause it to do further construction on rotted floor and encapsulate the crawlspace, that was discovered in their initial remediation efforts, before continuing the remediation process- so this company knew the history and significance of finishing this project as I have been out of my home for almost a year. When I made the appointment, I told the office I had to leave town for a month and needed this assessment and work done while I was gone so I could hopefully move back into my home shortly after I returned from a business trip. I called and confirmed the appointment two days before the appointment date. I took a half day off of work for my appointment window and waited for the whole two hours at my home. The technician (Keith)/office (Ashley) never called and didn't show up. When I called the office, I was told he must have forgotten as he was pulled to another multi story emergency. Apparently the bigger 'more emergent' jobs get preference. Regardless- I took a half day off of my job for this appointment, confirmed the appointment and was just disregarded. They said they could not send someone in the technicians' place and couldn't get to my house until mid-week. I again, explained I would be gone for a month. All I got was an 'I'm sorry'. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Also- because of this I had to take the rest of the day off to try to find another mold remediation company that could come inspect my house in one day. One of the worst companies that I ever worked for. I am a ex employee who gave there two weeks notice because of how the manager ran his jobs and sent multiple technicians to one job. During the two weeks when I was on call and had the company truck the day before payday they told me they were slow and we're going to let me go. I returned all there tools equipment and belongings and when I got to the shop the owner Barry Nicks was being very unprofessional saying they didn't need me anyways and proceeeded to follow me to my car and stood in front of my car. As I pulled away I had to cut my wheel to get around him and he budged my side mirror and said "what are u trying to hit me" . He then kicked my back quarter panel of my car and calls $900 with the damage. I had to file a police report and now we are dealing with his attorney to get my car paid for. The police were involved for about a week and that Barry Nick said he would take care of my car. Now I am dealing with his attorney and they're not trying to pay my car cause they're saying they're missing tools which is the reason they let me go a day before payday so they can take out what they say is missing. I was employed there for over a year and I seen it happen to at least seven technicians. I am going to file a complaint with better business bureau. It is taking me a while because the business is not registered in Barry Nick's name. The business is a registered under a gentleman's name with the last name Santos. read more
