I had newly installed brick pavers and I needed them cleaned and sealed. I contact Gorilla Kleen and was able to have Wanda come out for a free estimate. Wanda listened to my request and she provided me with a very reasonable quote. Wanda was able to explain the procedure and offer me additional services that I appreciated. I ended up not only getting the pavers cleaned and sealed, but I also got my entrance walkway, retainer wall and driveway pressure cleaned for an acceptable price. The two technicians that came, were on-time, friendly and explained the process. They assisted in filling in the sand in necessary areas and leaving the whole front clean and shining. I do NOT recommend Gorilla Kleen. In my opinion, Gorilla Kleen is not interested in building a relationship with their customer. Their business model appears to only accept high profit work or forces the customer to add on extras to meet their minimum pricing. They just power washed the house and roof. They also cleaned and sealed the paver brick. They do a very good job; their process is to soft wash with a chlorine mixture. The paver brick was sealed with a water base sealant. However, for me to have the house power washed on an annual basis (no roof or paver brick) I am required to meet a minimum of $375, which is $75 more than I paid for the house to be cleaned this time. There is no secret sauce to this service, plenty of other companies are just as good and professional, use the same equipment and process (and less expensive). When I asked if they would waive the "minimum price" for existing customers there was no consideration, they were inflexible and recommended I add other work to the project or to "share my opinion" with the sales manager. Well Sales Manager, here is my opinion. Gorilla Kleen is only interested in high profit work. If you want to have consistency and a trusting relationship, with your vendor, I do NOT recommend Gorilla Kleen. They used our pool water to fill their empty tank. They never asked us or told us they used our pool water. They left the pool water below the skimmer level so they easily could have ruined our pool pump. They killed patches of our grass and bushes. Our neighbor told us he heard them talking about how long the tank was going to take to fill, and how much faster it would be if they plugged into our pool pump. We called the company to make them aware of what happened. They came out to take pictures of the damages and said they would be in touch. We've never heard back from them! I hired Gorilla Kleen they were experienced and had high ratings, and I didnt mind paying more than the other people quoted, thinking I was getting better quality. I could not have been more wrong. they peeled the paint off the ceiling in my lanai, blew the number off my address and the piece was never recovered. I paid for the roof cleaning and they never did the over hangs, or the flat roof/balcony outside the master. I was so disappointed, and out a grand for the trouble. Although I wanted a few quotes from reputable companies before deciding which one to hire, Gorilla Kleen was the first to respond and could schedule us in very quickly. We had company coming for a 2-week stay so time was of the essence. Our association requires annual pressure washing and it was a bit over a year since we'd moved into our brand new home. I thought the quote was high but being a new resident to Florida and never having required this service before, I really didn't have a sense of what was reasonable. Two guys came out and pressure washed our stucco exterior, lanai screen, pavers in lanai and driveway at a cost of $425. Another company, New View, had previously been recommended by our HOA representative and I regretted my premature decision to go with Gorilla Kleen. The CEO/owner of New View did not get my message to cancel an estimate and she came by when we weren't home. We later received her estimate in the mail and it was half the cost of Gorilla Kleen. Next year, we will definitely hire New View. The ceilings of both our front entry and lanai still have visible black residue from mud dauber nests - the workers did not use a ladder to clean the areas of the previously removed nests. Also, the recommended paver wash was totally unnecessary. The pavers are gray and appeared no different after the wash. When I later told seasoned neighbors how much we had paid, they were shocked. I received a letter from my homeowners association indicating that my tile roof was dirty and needed to be cleaned. I shopped around for professionals in the Sarasota/Bradenton metro area and found many. Several neighbors recommended other companies such as New View and others. Gorilla Kleen came in as one of the higher priced vendors. Because I needed to get this done once, I decided to hire Gorilla Kleen as they included cleaning the gutters with the roof which made their offer a bit more competitive, albeit still pricier. I hired Gorilla Kleen and they did a fabulous job! I was so impressed with how clean my tile roof is now, almost new looking. They also included the price of cleaning driveway, sidewalks and pool deck. I knew I needed that done too but didn't request it. I got home after they cleaned and realized they did all of the work on their bid. Miscommunication. I called Gorilla Kleen and spoke with Margo. She agreed that I did not specifically ask for the other services and did not sign for the work before workers started. She settled the issue and requested I pay for only what I asked for.
