With flashing lights to entice passers by, Fone Zone rather reminded me of what the Gadget Shop used to do to me. The use of flashin LEDs is clearly something that really reaches out to me, for some reason. I had to take a closer look. Whether their business methods are legit or not, I'm not questioning, but they sell mobile phones, offer unlocking services, sell chargers and bluetooth hands-free headsets, memory cards for your digital camera, and last but by no means least, FASCIAS! This made me smile, as I found myself drifting back to having my first Nokia, thinking it cool to whack a luminous tacky plastic cover on it to express my individuality! Fone Zone is a great thing to have. If you do end up ever needing your phone unlocked, just to know where your local 'phone unlocker' is, I deem, very useful!

The only other time I visited a Samsung Experience Store was back in the Summer of this year, where I visited a branch which was laid out fairly similar to this one, yet slightly larger in Newcastle Upon-Tyne. Moving back to this branch in question - it is in a good location located on Briggate, perhaps not as central or easy to find as the Apple Store which is located in Leeds Trinity, but the store is still in a decent central location and easy enough to find. The staff in this store didn't stand out as much as other stores, for example at the Samsung branch mentioned earlier in Newcastle, or most Apple stores in general. The store seemed to have a good, yet not fantastic range of product, and there wasn't a huge amount of detail about the products, such as by saying why the product is special, its USP and what it can do that other device can't etc, there wasn't even a really obvious way of displaying the name or prices of the devices throughout the store. The selection of products on show, as mentioned was decent, but it was merely satisfactory. The store layout was average yet again, it was similar to other Samsung Experience Store branches such as Newcastle as mentioned, yet different to both branches in Manchester. A two-star rating as this store is decent and in a good location but to many points hit the boxes of average, rather than above average or even fantastic to warrant a higher rating, which is of course a shame.

They agreed to take the phone in for repairs free of charge. I provided proof of purchase and arranged to collect it the following day. They did a full software update and swopped out the camera module. It's now as good as new. All done inshop in Leeds. Brilliant service

A Decade of Loyalty Meant Nothing - Customer Service Vanishes the Moment There's a Problem…read more I have been a loyal customer of this shop for almost 10 years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. On Saturday 6th June, I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro Max for my wife. There were cheaper options available, but I was specifically told this one was in "as new" condition. Naturally, I expected a premium device to match that description. However, as soon as we set the phone up, we were greeted with a warning stating that the device did not have a genuine Apple display. Had I known the phone contained a non-genuine screen, I would never have paid the price asked for it. What has angered me most is not just the phone itself, but the complete lack of customer service afterwards. I sent multiple messages trying to resolve the issue. I received a single response saying the owner would contact me, but that never happened. Instead of discussing the problem or offering any form of resolution, they simply blocked my messages. After nearly a decade of loyal custom, this is apparently how they treat their customers when something goes wrong. If they are willing to ignore and block someone who has spent money with them for 10 years, imagine how little regard they must have for everyone else. The phone was misrepresented, my concerns were ignored, and any attempt to resolve the matter was shut down. This level of customer service is disgraceful. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this shop to look elsewhere. There are plenty of honest, reputable businesses that stand behind the products they sell and don't hide from customers when problems arise. Avoid at all costs.

They also sell the consoles themselves and you can sell your old games here, which is pretty handy too. They offer PC repair service and a 'health check' for slow computers for £35, which is in my opinion a bit of a steep diagnosis price. But then again, if you are some kind of luddite and think that defragmenting refers to something from Deep Space Nine perhaps it's not too much to ask in order to get your computer up and running again! Amongst other features they also have a number of mobile phone accessories, mobile unlocking service, repairs and sim cards. All the electricals you might need in this one indie store. Not bad!
