I cannot recommend this program strongly enough! Shannon helps you be what you want to be. I am the…read moresame person I was before her program - yet simultaneously completely different. I had been on an exhaustive 10-year career search, looking for a position that fit others' expectations of where I should be next . . . Not realizing that the career I was already making for myself, was most closely aligned with my values, beliefs, and desire to live a balanced, yet well-paid life that puts my happiness, and presence for my children first. (As Shannon put it, I am like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz - in that I didn't need to "look any further than my own back yard.") I wanted clarity over the future direction of my career, and to get to where I want to be. This goal was met due to the expert advice of Shannon. My product and brand has been strengthened, and I am much more mindful and intentional about the career decisions I make. Shannon listens, then reminds you what you said is important to YOU, rather than fit you into a cookie-cutter program. I wholeheartedly recommend the Whole U. process.

I'd hire a professional to fix my car, or operate on my heart... so I'd certainly hire a pro to guide my way to my new career. Working with Shannon helped me set up a road map to reach my goal. I learned how to: write a 21st-century resume, re-do my LinkedIn page, and I learned (again) that there's no time like the present to start the first step toward my goal. I learned that my goal isn't ridiculous and could actually provide a huge benefit to people. I really appreciate the holistic approach to Whole U. advising services. Everything in this world is interconnected, whether one believes that in a spiritual or scientific way, and one's career is not excluded from that.

I had been floundering for a…read morefew years, and grew to be very unhappy with the stagnation in my life after the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband's coworker talked about how he had worked with a life coach in middle age to help him figure out his next steps after an intercontinental move to the US. I read Kim's website and noticed she was associated with Kripalu, is a former yoga instructor, and I was intrigued. I read a bit of her blog and decided to email to set up an introductory phone call. I felt like we connected on the call. She was lighthearted, but helped me move forward with action items in just that one phone call. Before our first meeting, I was really nervous. I didn't know what she would be like in person (I can pick up on other people's energy very easily), but I was soon at ease as I realized she is a kind and thoughtful person, who is also joyful and positive. She is spiritual, and educated, with an "East Meets West" style of coaching. During my three months working with her I explored more opportunities than I have in a decade on my own. Having biweekly meetings held me accountable, but gave me time in between sessions to accomplish our collaboratively created goals. If I didn't accomplish everything, that was fine. We would discuss what I didn't do and decide whether to add it to the next to do list or drop it. She taught me how to better read my intuition when making decisions, and to clear negative beliefs that were holding me back. I now have a path forward to explore several interests, and I have the tools Kim taught me to use along the way. She also referred me to an amazing acupuncturist/reiki master when I expressed interest in energy healing (this alone was worth a million dollars). Working with Kim for three months has been more effective in changing my life than five years of therapy. I urge anyone who is on the fence to take the leap and explore whether she is a good fit. The worst that will happen is she's not the right fit for you; the best that will happen is Kim Childs will change your life!

It sounds cliche, but we worked together for 6 weeks and it totally turned me around in a better direction. If you are really ready to work at making a change in your life, Kim is an incredible guide - warm, creative, empathetic and full of great ideas. The best investment I could make in myself!

The result of this is that the advice given to you will be WILDLY off the mark, and you will waste a LOT of precious time in your *very* expensive out-of-pocket coaching sessions listening to advice that has nothing whatsoever to do with the actual problem you are trying to bring to the table. Eric will NEVER do this to your male partner, but will have no hesitation treating YOU this way. As an added bonus, when he decides that you "aren't a good fit" (because you -- understandably -- get frustrated at constantly being shut down mid-sentence and given meaningless advice every time you try to talk about what you're struggling with), be prepared for him to call YOUR PARTNER and have *them* be the one to break the news to you that you need to find a new therapist. That's what happened to me, and I feel so unbelievably betrayed by it that I **STILL** get super emotional talking or thinking about it, and it's been well over a year since it happened. I have NEVER had issues like this with ANY other therapist I've EVER worked with (before or since), so this was a *really* traumatic situation for me and I felt completely abandoned at a very vulnerable time ... all of which contributed to why it has taken me so long to write this review. I was completely unprepared for how differently Eric treats male clients vs. female clients. I had previously sat in on multiple sessions my partner had with him, and truly expected Eric would have had the same kind of patience, caring, and support with ME. I was shockingly wrong. He seems to have a VERY different standard for women. It's sad, because he did good work with my partner (the ONLY reason I'm giving two stars).

Rather than bring us together, our relationship nearly ended in this person's office. There were no tools. There was no hope. Now, trained in RLT, I bring the same teachable and repeatable system to bear in service of your relationship. My process with you will be explicitly educational. We may talk about the past, but we will focus on the present and the future. You will leave with the relationship tools we all should have learned as children but weren't given to us. We will go through the process together, transparently. I do not hide behind the veil of 'expert'. I've been through this myself and have come out the other side. Working together on

I completed the curriculum for living (3 courses: Forum, Advance course and Self-Expression and Leadership). There were times that I hated Landmark and swore off it, but on reflection it's because I did not want the truth, it was better to complain as it required no action. I will admit, the worst part is the pressure you feel to bring guest or to sign up for another course. The best part: Before Landmark--I had an abusive childhood, and denied my right to an education. I was married, 2 children, no education and no work history, I was 30 and married for 12 yrs. After completing the Forum, I decided to leave my marriage (for the better), completed my BA, Masters and Doctorate. I traveled the world (45 countries) and just released my first book "Why Can't I Be Happy: From Self-Hate to Self-Love available on amazon and B&N. In the book I mention what my child abuse and how Landmark help me to reframe my trauma allowing me to forgive, have compassion and empathy and even led me to form my relationship with God. I travel the world counseling unprivileged women, all of this would not have been possible without my participation in Landmark Education.

It's a prolonged, high-pressured sales pitch that makes you feel pathetic if you don't make an impulsive, large, and non-refundable purchase. (Yes, you'd get a discount by signing up when they say to, so feel free to ignore my advice). During the Forum, they pressure you into signing up for the Advanced course, as well as to bringing guests to the intro session they'll have Tuesday evening. This way, your friends and family get the high-pressure sales pitch too! You get a free 10-week seminar upon completion on the Forum, which is a means to practice the "technology" of Landmark. A large portion of that seminar is pressuring you to bring guests to the next session, to register for the Advanced Course and pay on the spot, and to register for another seminar and pay on the spot. If you miss a session, expect to be ruthlessly contacted by the seminar leader or volunteers. My seminar leader (a volunteer who treated Landmark like a religion) had me on the phone for an hour after I told her I changed my mind about signing up for another seminar. These people are extremely skilled at making you feel vulnerable. They'll say that continuously attending Landmark and "enrolling" others is the only way to open up possibilities in you life. Picking on your vulnerabilities to get you to stay with Landmark and pressuring you to recruit people is why people call it a cult. STAND YOUR GROUND. I give 2 stars because there are definitely pro's to Landmark. It's shows you new angles of looking at your life (though you don't need to devote countless hours to understand it). Also, you get to experience opening up about your personal problems with a lot of different attentive people. If you're even a little egotistic, you get to talk about your problems--and even cry--in front of an audience of 100 strangers!
