I was forced to pay out-of-pocket for two unexpected Uber rides because the shop kept my vehicle overnight, claiming the mechanic lacked the "proprietary tool" required to remove the battery. In reality, the job only requires a standard 10mm socket for the terminals and a 13mm socket with an extension for the hold-down bolt. To make matters worse, despite paying for a tire rotation, the shop completely missed that two of the rotated tires were left low on pressure. I chose to support a neighborhood business, but this experience was a lesson well learned.
