Awful experience! I work through the Apple Support app to get an iPhone 6 Plus battery replacement appointment. The appointment is with Expercom in Sandy, UT - over twenty miles from my home near Park City. When I show up at the store I'm told they don't have spare iPhone 6 Plus batteries available and that they can order the part and I could come back in when the part is received! What a ridiculously unsatisfactory process. Don't allow repair appointments if the required parts aren't available! read more

Stay away! I ordered an iMac that cost over $3000 which was promised to arrive within 2-4 days and was told it was in stock. They have now refused to provide a tracking number or an updated delivery date as well as refused to refund my money. I'm very surprised to see all the reviews on here that say they have amazing customer service. I went in to get the screen on my phone repaired. I got there about 5:30. They close at 7. No one was in the store but me. The guy was helping me and then another person walked in. He helped her real quick and then told me that he could fix my phone but it would take an hour and this is when their rush comes in. I don't know if I missed something or what. Only one other person was in the store. He helped her in two minutes. By this time he still had an hour until they closed. Why wouldn't he be able to repair my phone? He told me to come back the next day and he would fix it. Came back and someone else helped me this time. He told me that they could help but they would just order me a new phone and it would take a few days to get here and all this other stuff. I have apple care on my phone so I don't know if they just don't make enough money off of the repair or what. They were not helpful at all. They had me come back for no reason. The store only had one other person in there this time and two people working. I don't know if the staff is just lazy there and would rather sit around on their computers/phones then help customers or what. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You get a lot better customer service at the apple store even when their store is packed. read more

After spending 45 minutes trying to get my phone replaced, they said they couldn't replace it because they were being audited- and knew this the day before. I called ahead, but they didn't tell me this. It was the end of the day too, so I'm sure they would've still realized this fact, and could've told me to go elsewhere to begin with. So they sent me to Fashion Place Apple and could've made an appointment for me (which I didn't know), but didn't. They also didn't send me with any notes to give the other place. I drive to FP and Apple is shocked and mad they didn't make an appointment for me. So I had to wait for an additional 1-1/2 hours to see someone, get all tests redone, just to get a phone replacement. That was 4 hours of my day. I would not waste your time at Expercom with phones. I'm a lifelong Mac user who has dealt with many hardware repairs, some done by myself and some done by professionals. I recently purchased some new RAM for my Late 2009 Mac Mini from Amazon, assuming it would be a simple matter to complete the install myself. After opening the package, I looked around for an Apple document or YouTube video that would explain what I assumed would be a simple process. The first video I saw mentioned that I would need special tools, and that it would take 40 minutes for someone who was at the "advanced" level of Apple hardware repair. At this point, I decided that rather than go through all of that effort, I would seek professional help. One web search later, I found this place, an Apple specialist with experience in way more serious stuff than just fixing iPhone screens. I need the machine for work, so I called and asked if they could have the install done on the same day if I brought it in Saturday morning. They told me yes and it would be $100 for the labor, which sounded quite reasonable to me. When I brought it in, they were very professional and friendly, they didn't talk down to me, and they indeed kept their word on both counts. I brought it in at around 11:00 AM and the install was done at around 2:15 PM, and when I walked out I paid $100 plus around $7 of Utah state tax. Oh, and of course, they returned my old RAM, nicely packaged in the box I had given them, without me asking. My machine is now humming along with twice as much RAM as it used to have. I have not experienced a single issue, and they appear to have done an excellent job with the installation. I would recommend Expercom for any complex installation or repair you can't handle (or don't wish to handle) yourself. read more

I sent the request to cancel the order, and Expercom said it was available to get picked up at Fedex. an online shopping experience couldn't be worse. a friend of mine ordered an iPad Pro about two weeks ago from the website with an estimated shipping time of 3-6 days and after the estimated time exceeded, emailed them to ask what's going on with the order. guess what happened after times and times of sending emails to ask for an explanation? Nothing, Literally Nothing. they didn't even bother to answer emails with a simple excuse. and it still continues. Horrible return policy. We bought the wrong iPad cover and the only way we found out is by opening the case after Xmas, upon returning it they charged us a 15% return fee and were not helpful at all. The cover didn't even mention it was meant for the iPad2 only. I will never shop here again and am saddened I spent money on an iPad and other equipment here, I should have just gone to best buy where they have a realistic return policy. read more

Small business that had purchased a few MacBook Pros with them in recent months. Had to return a MacBook Pro due to unforeseen conditions, and returned it within 15 days window of their policy with all original packaging & in pristine condition. Only had a few business days use on it. They charged us over $550 to return, and charged us to pay for shipping back. Think twice about doing business with them, they are slow to respond and there final communication about why they charged us such an exorbitant fee to return was snarky and lacked any further detail than hiding behind a bullet in their return policy. Buy direct from Apple or other authorized resellers that abide by Apples initial window to return. read more

HORRIBLE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I paid over 300 dollars for my macbook air battery to be repaired. My laptop came out worse than it did going in. I have never been more disappointed than I was when I picked up my laptop to find out nothing was done to fix it. It doesn't charge anymore, won't turn on unless plugged in and the very nice repair men DENTED my laptop in the process. There is a ugly and very visible dent that was not there before (and i can prove it) next to the keyboard. HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN. Not only was the work done on the laptop atrocious but, they didn't bother to contact me when it was done. Just go to Apple. read more

Walked in with a 10 year old Apple Macbook Pro; turns out the keyboard was worn out. Talked to the "big guy with the beard," and he was just excellent. After telling him the kind of work I did on the computer every day, we agreed I would be better served with a desk top. They transferred all my data from the old Apple laptop to my new desk top in a day, and when I got home, talked me thru firing up the new computer while on the phone. I could not be happier. I had also crashed that Apple laptop back in 2015 and they put in a new hard drive and talked me thru transferring data from a back-up machine. Great service. read more

DO NOT GO INTO THIS STORE!!! My mom took her phone here to have her battery replaced, while having it replaced they broke a different piece in her phone. They kept her phone and ordered the part to replace it. Once they got that part and we're replacing it they broke the screen on her phone. they couldn't fix the screen in store so they had to send it out to be fixed (she lives out of state and is a flight attendant) so they would overnight it to her once they got it back. She was supposed to get it by Tuesday but never did so she called and was told they would overnight it to her that day as they had just gotten it in. Waited all day the next day never received it. Called back and they said they decided not to overnight it because it wasn't an urgent thing (they have had her phone for 2 weeks at this point, for a freakin battery) and never called her to tell her they changed their minds. Also she was placed on hold sat and waited 15 mins before hanging up and finally received a call back an hour later. This place has Incompetent employees who don't know how to fix things without breaking them more and horrendous customer service with very little communication! read more

I ordered a computer to be sent to me in Los Angeles within a week. I told the salesperson that I needed the computer within 7 days. He told me that only a model that was $200 more was in stock and could be sent. So I agreed and ordered the more expensive model to receive the computer in 7 days. Five days later, I'm wondering where the computer is and I receive an email notification that it was just sent by ground that morning. I called and asked if it was guaranteed to be delivered by my deadline. No, they said. No, they had no 'record' of my needing it in 7 days. In fact, the day I ordered it, the computer was ordered - they didn't have it 'in stock' at all. No, they wouldn't change the shipping although the computer hadn't gone out. No, they wouldn't do anything... No, there was no record of my request... No, no, no. So NO - I will never buy anything from Expercom again. read more

I Purchased a iMac from this company in September 2018 but didn't set it up until about January. It started having a problem where it turned off automatically. I took it in, without an appointment, explained the problem and they verified that it was under warranty and they would look into it. I received confirmation that afternoon they checked it in, an email the next day saying they had diagnosed the problem and that part had been ordered and it would be here and ready within two days. I picked it up and it seems to be running fine. The people were courteous and professional. They agreed the computer is still under warranty and didn't try to upsell me any other items. I agree with the other- STAY AWAY. They might be OK for purchases, but not Apple Service. My kid came home from college for Thanksgiving. Needed a new battery for her MacBook Air. I contacted Expercom a week before she came home to ensure they would have the part and the time to replace the battery. I offered to pay for the battery, upfront, a week in advance to avoid a problem. They didn't want to do that. I double checked and was told the battery was ordered. Well, we brought it in and no battery. They took her computer and promised the battery would come in that day or Friday at the latest. Didn't want to leave her laptop until the battery came in (she needed to do homework over the holiday). They insisted. They contacted me on Friday and told me they wouldn't receive the battery until Monday. She leaves on Sunday. They lied when they said they ordered the part, and lied again when they said the battery would be shipped. The guy dropped the ball and didn't order it when he said he did. Cost my kid 2 days of homework time. All the negative reviews are pretty close. Seems like an ingrained pattern. I wish I would have read them before I tried to do business with them. Worst service ever. On the last day that my iPhone was supposed to have its cracked screen fixed, they called to say that not only was the screen cracked but the rear camera lens was cracked and instead of $129 fixing it all would be $299. I said, no, just fix the screen, not the cameral lens - I can do with out it. Unfortunately, that is not an option and all they can do is either send it back to us unfixed or let us handle it ourselves with Apple. (???!!!) Worthless. read more

Beware. Expercom had lowest price on MacBook Pro 16 in according to different trusted sites, so I ordered it on 26 Nov., received confirmation the the order was processed and would ship "shortly". After several days of checking order status and seeing that it didn't seem to have been processed yet, I checked to my order was had actually been processed and was ensured that it was; shipments were delayed but expected soon. On 4 or 5 Dec, I called to check again, ready to cancel my order; it was shipped that day. After I received the "brand new, never used" MacBook Pro, I was unable to transfer data from old to new computer; today with the help of Apple Care, we discovered that the computer was already associated with an Apple ID. The computer was not unused. All told, I spent a full work day on the problems and am now waiting for Apple to okay my proof of purchase and credit card proof that I did buy this computer. In another 4 or 5 days, I should be able to reinstall the OS, transfer my data and finally use my new work computer. No money saved here. In fact, I'm at a deficit from lost work time. Expercom was "helpful", giving me instructions that didn't work, said the computer came straight from Apple to me (via DHL). Who knows where this computer has been? read more

Had them repair iphone screen. Phone worked fine when be brought it in expect the cracked screen. After "repaired" it would no longer boot. We were told this happened with the old screen also. Had them put on the old screen and phone is still useless. Took it to Apple and was told screws were missing and they assumed the logic board was fried. I would NOT recommend using them. read more

absolutely the worst apple repair shop in existence. took my macbook pro in for a service issue. issue was supposed to be covered under apple's quality program so i was supposed to get a new main board. while their tech was changing the board apparently he stripped a screw. and then decide he would use a grinder to grind the head off the screw. You can imagine how that turned out. under the quality program they must ship the defective main board back to apple their tech not wanting to send a main board to apple with grinder marks on it decided he would just deny the repair and that would absolve him. ended up having to go to apple they replaced the board and told me to avoid expercom like the plague. spoke with management regarding the issue was told they would look into it and get back to me . never happened. if you value your apple devices do not go to expercom. read more

I had my iPhone glass cover repaired 3 weeks ago, the day after I noticed it wasn't sealed right on one of the sides,cause light was getting through. It took them 3 hours to fix It, well it cracked at that spot will no malice on my part. I went it and explained to no avail. Verizon on 12600 s and state, is much better and cheaper. They fixed it in 15 minutes. This is my first ever review, I would avoid this place. read more

I don't even want to give them 1 star! I took my daughters phone to the sandy store for a new battery. I was told it would be 48 hrs to get the part and repair it. After 4 days it still wasn't done when I called. After 7 days they had received the part two days earlier but it still wasn't fixed. The employee then said he would get it fixed that day (1 week later). I went to pick it up and they told me since the temper glass was cracked they replaced it for me for my troubles. Within a week my daughters screen was shattered and we noticed the protector they switched our temper glass out for was a flimsy screen protector. Their customer service was HORRIBLE. I had to call them every time to check on my phone. Never once did I get a return call from the manager as promised. Every time I wanted to talk to him he just happened to have left for the day. I will never go there again and will defiantly tell family and friends about this horrible experience. read more
