Was looking for a good repair shop for my PS5 for a fast fix. They told me it would take a few days considering the had a queue, which I completely understand. Anyways, I called after two days considering the guy I talked to told me he would send me update text updates, but I still hadn't received any. I then called for an update and not only did they say they hadn't started it yet, but it would still take 2-3 weeks due to their long queue. I obviously didn't want to wait that long for a repair that I was told would take a few days. When I went to take it back the employee who gave it back to me was kind, but she never asked me any follow up questions or tried to do anything to keep my business. I made an appointment online, and headed in. It was really busy, which was fine. That actually seemed like a good sign to me. I was greeted, the guy seemed polite and told me to have a seat to wait. So, I did. He went through a pretty long upsetting spiel with the guy he was helping, but hey, you get your bag, it worked and the man walked out having bought the full (useless) Assurion warranty protection on his device. Now, the next guy who had been already waiting when I walked in, about 15 mins for me, walks up and immediately is heated. You see, this same man sold HIM this same protection he just sold the other guy on a phone that was more than two years old already, claiming it would cover the cost of of his broken screen. He hadn't been coming in for that, just to get a new battery and was gonna just live with the screen because it wasn't worth it to him to spend $250+ to replace it. The guy had convinced him otherwise, because "It's still in warranty!" Those if you in the know, who have dealt with Assurion before, will already be seeing the issue here. They never replace screens after two years. You'd think someone working for them would know that. You'd think the system wouldn't show it in warranty. You'd think he would immediately own his mistake and apologize and refund the policy. Nope! The guy was saying he couldn't do that. So the guy would be out the $250+ AND the $30 for the worthless insurance for a single month but he could always go and cancel it for future months and he could give him a credit for another product or give him a screen protector! LOL! OH MAN! The rage this old man showed, and rightfully so. But he didn't yell, he just let it come out in icy wrath. He told him he would dispute with his credit card and, look at that! The guy said he'd refund it. Funny how that happened. By now, I was a little nervous. This place seemed shady. I knew he was going to try to sell me this stupid monthly insurance plan, even though I already had insurance coverage on my brand new phone, and probably other things. But I never found out. Because someone else who they had put the wrong glass on his product came in. And he didn't have to wait to be helped. They just skipped over me (waited for 30 mins or so at this point) and began helping him instead. Both me and the women who came on right after were left to sit. I guess the menfolk come first at Ubreakifix. So, I decided "Screw this place and their obsessive upselling" and I left. I received a message from David reminding me of my appointment (lol) but I had already gone to Tricked Out Accessories at South Town Mall where they fixed it within two hours (they had to get the screen fir my new S25 at another store) and didn't try to sell me a single thing. This place is so unprofessional I scheduled for my phone screen to be replaced online. They confirmed the appointment and said it would be a same-day repair. I go to drop it off. They accept it (even though the price for an Apple screen was double for others I saw online - so I went with the 3rd party screen). I drop it off. They call me 30 minutes later to tell me that they don't have the part. So now I've spent an hour of my time with nothing to show for it. And there was no apology. Awful service. read more

It was going to take at least 3 days to get a replacement screen in stock. I decided to buy a new phone during the wait. They would not refund any of the repair cost even though they had installed a faulty product. This "no refund under any circumstances" policy was not posted anywhere that I could see. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! Just got off the phone with the corporate customer service. Honestly, save your money and the frustration and get your device repaired somewhere else. I wish I had reviewed yelp prior to coming here. I called the store and inquired about getting my son's IPad screen fixed. They told me to stop on by and drop it off they had the part. So I came in (this is Sunday) and dropped it off. The employee told me it should only take 48 hours at the most. So I figured I should maybe here from them Wednesday at the latest. Wednesday came and went, so did Thursday. Midway through Friday I figured maybe I should call. They answered and after a few minutes of being on hold, they said they were actually just working on it, and it will be done in a few hours. They'll call me to get it soon. Well I received no call back Friday for pick up. So Saturday I was in the neighborhood and stopped in to see what is going on. The employee went in the back, and came back with new information. He stated the part had JUST ARRIVED. They have been waiting on the screen, because they took my iPad in for repairs and didn't have a the part. (Which originally I was told they had) I told him that was fine I understand thing happen, and wished they had just communicated that with me when they knew about the oversight. He told me my IPad was the 1st one to be worked on, and I should have it later on Saturday or Sunday when they opened. Well as history would repeat itself, Saturday night came, and Sunday, and Monday. Tuesday morning I put a reminder to call about lunch to see what the heck is really going on. About 11am I received a text notifying me that my IPad was ready to be picked up. I told my little boy (it's his iPad) and he was super excited. SO, I get there about 4pm and of course there's a line! I wait about 15 minutes and FINALLY it's my turn. I give the girl my information and she goes in the back. 5 minutes later she comes back with IPad in hand, and sets it on the counter. She tell me they are not going to charge me for the replacement. ( I think to myself WOW! What service!) then she proceeded to tell me the reason is because the screen they replaced is actually damaged, and they didn't notice it until her quality control check. she handed me the iPad and said they were going to let me have it for the holiday. And promptly have a new one over nighted for replacement. I was also told there would be no charge for this as well. At this point I'm not holding my breath, though I hope the make good on their word. We'll see if they call me like promised after Thanksgiving to come in for the replacement. Honestly, a little honesty, and communication goes a long way with me. If you considering coming here, I hope you have a better experience than I did. read more

We walked into this location 20 mins before closing, desperate to get help testing the battery life of my moms iPad. She had just spent the last 2 weeks in ICU and is being transferred to transitional care where she will be rehabilitating on lock-down for the next 3 weeks. She is deaf and has trouble communicating and hearing what's going on around her. She is scared about not having me there to help her communicate with doctors and caregivers around her. I needed someone to check the battery life of her iPad before she goes into the facility, as it will be the only way she will be able to communicate with me during her stay and she will not be able to bring anything else in with her due to Covid. We were sent here for external hard drive data recovery. There's signage inside that says they offer this service and that they're the best at it. We get inside only to find the kid behind the counter doesn't even know if they offer that or how it works. He heads to the back to ask, stays back there for 10 minutes while I listen to non-relevant conversation between him and two other employees, then sends away to an online service. If you're looking for data recovery, this is not the place to do it at. No experts here and they don't know what they're doing. I would NOT trust your data here. read more

Awful experience brought in a Xbox series X with minor water damage (I did all the important steps to take after water damage like leaving it off for a 24 hour period). They then proceeded to take it for two weeks with no contact and sent me an email thanking me for my visit. Got on customer support to ask if they still had it which they said yes and it was ready to be picked up. Came in 5 days later and they told me they couldn't find it and to contact them later that day. Called them later that day and was told they handed it off to someone else and to wait from a call from them to find out how we proceed. Finally after another week get told they have another Xbox Series X that I can pick up that might work. Pick it up the next day and its completely trashed and looks like it was thrown off a building. You can feel and see all the parts on the inside rolling around, the side panels are way bent out of shape, the bottom plate is completely missing and the area around the disc drive is melted, it obviously doesn't even work either. So disappointed with the service, at the very least I could've sold the other one for parts but this one is complete junk. I dont recommend ever going here this was a nightmare read more

This location deserves no stars. I made an appointment for 5:00 pm to have the screen replaced on my phone. I received several reminders about my appointment. I left work early in good faith I was on the schedule. The clerk informed me they could not work on my phone because they were too busy. I inquired why they accepted my appointment. He said the appointments are through corporate and we do not have to honor them. He then rudely told me to come back tomorrow at 10:00. I let him know I was to busy going somewhere else tomorrow. Based upon the way things were handled, I would definitely stay clear of this place. read more

I called beforehand asking if they had a certain part, they said they did so I went there, after making the long commute there once I got there they said they did not have what they said they had!!!! But, they ended up finding a part that would work for my iPhone camera lens replacement. They started to take the lens off the phone and then somehow then realized the part they had WASNT GOING TO WORK. So now I have a iPhone with tape over a halfway taken off lens and I'm not a happy camper. read more

It sounded like the guy in front of me did receive a cheaper quote here than another store however. Both the techs I spoke to were friendly and honest and the repair was done more quickly than guaranteed. My only gripe, by no fault of theirs, is that in the few minutes I spent there at drop off and pick up their were customers waiting (in a very small lobby) with no face coverings. read more

Not surprising that a store in Utah is closed on Sundays, but UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!!! There are 2 of these stores in SLC listed as open on Sundays and they were both closed. read more

I hate dealing with phone issues and insurance companies and all of that, but this experience was phenomenal. I was the first one on site when they opened and I had my phone back within an hour, completely fixed as had been explained to me. I also showed them my husband's phone which had two issues; wouldn't charge and camera glass was smashed. Reed cleaned out the charging port for me while I waited and resolved that problem. The other problem is not covered by insurance but the price they gave me to fix it was very reasonable and we're having it done this week. Highly recommend this business! read more

The screen of the expensive Samsung phone we bought for my daughter in July (it is now December: 6 month old phone) just went black. I brought it to uBreakiFix and they determined the screen was defective and confirmed the repair was under warranty. They said it would be done by 4pm the next day. They called the next day to say they hadn't actually had the part in the store so it would be several days before it could be done. After a week I stopped in to check on the progress. The staff person had a hard time finding the phone and had to go to the back and get someone to help. When the staff returned to the front they said, accusatorially, that they had had a hard time finding it because my last name sounded like a first name. I don't think it does, and besides, they had asked my last name and I had given it, why did they think it was a first name? I was surprised when I saw the phone was not fixed, actually hadn't been touched. The staff became defensive at my surprise, informing me they didn't have the part. I told them that the person who had called said they didn't have the part in the store but would be able to get it and repair the phone. Staff member said, no, on the work order it just said the phone could not be fixed because they didn't have the part. But "didn't have" is different that "can't get". Can they get the part? They said the tech wasn't there, and wouldn't be for a couple hours. And that was it. But could they get the part? Should I leave the phone or take it somewhere else? The only response was that parts are hard to get nowadays. I confided that I had gone to BestBuy who had actually recommend I come to them because BestBuy's solution was just to replace the phone, thus losing all the data, and it was important to keep the data, so, there is no huge hurry. I can wait. Can they get the part? The person irritably said, "I'm reading exactly what is on my screen. It says we don't have the part." I stood there for a moment not knowing what to do. There was another customer in the store and the staff said, "I guess you could just go back to BestBuy." Which I did, and told the guy there he should stop recommending uBreakiFix. Maybe the techs are good, who knows? But they obviously don't want to work, and are good at wasting your time. read more

Horrible service, walked in and the gentleman working there did not have a face mask on the entire time. A customer in the store at the same time as me questioned why he did not have a mask on to protect himself and the customers coming in from COVID 19 and he said that is was not mandatory and that he is touching our iPhones anyway... this location has lost my business and could lose more business due to ignorance of not wearing a mask (cases are spiking in Utah and our governor has made masks mandatory starting June 30th). We are in the middle of a pandemic and you may want to have your employees wear masks to protect others from getting very sick and having to go to the hospital. read more

We took our daughter's phone in to have the screen replaced and when we got it back, the upper speaker/microphone was not working. They wouldn't look at it and sent us back to Asurian to file another claim and then bring it back. We went to the UBreakiFix in WJ this time. When the West Jordan store opened it up, they found that Sandy uBreaktiFix had not reinstalled the top speaker/microphone. IT WAS COMPLETELY MISSING FROM THE PHONE. This also begs the question, how did it even pass a rudimentary diagnostic check once they had replaced the screen before they returned it to us as fixed? Incompetent would be too kind a review for this store. read more

Any certified repair store should be able to re-seal a phone. I went in for a cracked screen 3 days later it's unresponsive, and the battery won't charge. I was told that it's too much to inform everyone who walks in that it won't be sealed and that it's "industry standard" to not maintain a waterproof sealed phone. They said the reason for the issues was the "humidity from the phone being in my pocket all day." They tried to tell me galaxy s10 were never waterproof, but a quick google search says otherwise. They refused to warranty their work and refused any refund and wanted to charge me even more for a battery that was installed then telling me the screen is still unresponsive. This place is not professional. Best buy can "guarantee" a sealed/waterproof phone repair. I would definitely reconsider ubreakifix at the very least pick a different location this store is far from what it used to be. read more

UPDATE****Now they have gone in and deleted my review from here and google, so here I am posting it again and will continue to do so until they make this right to my 8 year old. UPDATE****So based off of my review, the store manager/owner Kasso tried to call me and I didn't answer, so he left a voicemail and I have tried calling him back multiple times and all I get is his voicemail, so I have left several messages and no response back. I initially took my son's switch in to have the screen repaired, never got a call to let me know what the diagnosis was on that, had to call a day or two after the time frame they gave me for the diag, was told it was just the screen that needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and order the part, which they did and replaced it. Called again to get another update on when it should be done, at which time they told me the screen was fixed but they openly admitted to messing up the battery, told them to order the part and call me with an update, never heard from them so yet again I am the one calling for another update, at this point they tell me that they can not get it to power on past the login screen so they need to send it to another company to see if they can fix it, mind you this place they sent it to is out of state in Washington. Again after the time frame they gave me on sending it out I had to call again to get an update and was told it was shipped back on 11/4/2020 and that they should have it in a few days, a few days passed and I called yet again and was told that they still hadn't received it and that the tracking says that it is in transit. I let a few more day go by, called again and was told the same thing. Finally 10 days later I get my switch back, completely dead so I could not verify the repair, got it home fully charged it and my son went to play it and it totally shut down on him after 20 minutes of play. They need to learn what the true meaning of customer service is and when you have someone physically go into the store to get an update to not talk crap about that person to the one that goes in to get an update. Mind you this is the location in Sandy, Utah not the one in South Jordan, Utah. I would never recommend sending anyone to this location and I really truly hope this is read and they make my experience right by buying my son a new switch. I also forgot to mention they had this device for 7 weeks. This all started 9/26/2020, I would not trust this location. read more

Friendly service but we did have a couple of hiccups. I asked on our initial call if they needed a power cord for my iMac, I knew that they are not an Apple authorized service center which was exactly what I was looking for. The gentleman responded with yes we have one I'm pretty sure we do. So I drop it off, sign all the stuff tell him what the problems are. And then I get a text message from them saying please call, so I called, and I get the answering service, the message there says call back or just come on down, so I come on down, and they say yeah we need a power cord. So I quizzed them a little bit, and I find that they could have simply put in the first message that they sent me a "hey sorry we need a power cord turns out we don't have one after all" That's my only complaint, other than that they were fantastic! They even dealt with me getting my password to my computer wrong in a very professional and understanding way. read more

I couldn't be more disappointed with the service (or lack there of) I received at Village Shop, Sandy location. The uBreakiFix website explicitly states "walk-ins are always welcome." However when I dropped by today to get my screen replaced, the employee - no where to be found when I entered the store - walked out from the back area and asked me if I had an appt. I told him I did not and he responded that he doesn't take walk-ins on Sunday. I was caught of guard, considering the website says otherwise, and so I questioned why the website says walk-ins are always welcomed if they're actually not. He shrugged and responded "well there's a sign on the door." I then asked when the next available appt was and he said there weren't any. I was again surprised considering there wasn't a single person in the store and the kid took no interest in helping me. I expressed that I was not pleased and will be leaving a remark on Yelp. He rolled his eyes and said "fine what phone do you have? As if he was now willing to help me." Quite honestly after the unpleasant exchange, I didn't really want, nor trust, him handling my phone. I asked his name, and received "it's conor, you can put my name on yher!" Overall, this was the worst interaction with customer service that I've had in as long as I can remember. I have been desperate to find someone who could either repair my phone or at least transfer all my data to another phone. Since this business is advertised as a Samsung certified repair facility I called ahead to make sure they could help me. The location is about 35 miles from where I was when I called. I told the person who answered my call what kind of a phone and model. He indicated that they very likely could repair it from my description of what had happened or if not, they could do a data transfer for me. I made arrangements to go right then. When I got there, someone who called himself the manager proceeded to tell me they could not work on the phone because they don't have parts for it or anything else. Being very frustrated I explained that I had been told otherwise and he just looked at me and said sorry, it must have been a new guy because we don't work on a Samsung Note 5. I begged him to do something and he again said sorry I cannot help you, we don't have any parts. In reality, there are parts on line available for this model as I did just a bit of searching. Once again, we learn there is a famine in the land for so called professionals to do what ever it takes to bond a customer particularly, after an employee puts the company name on the line and someone spends the time and money to get to their place of business and begs. If you expect anything of any significance from this place of business you will be disappointed, go elsewhere! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. This place, and also the location in Bountiful is complete garbage. Took Google Pixel here per the request/recommendation of Google support and I will never go back. I won't ever buy a Google phone again either. Made an apt online, walked in and they couldn't find any appointment (this happened to me at both locations). Ok fine. Walk-in drop off my phone and the guy assures me its a simple battery fix and will call me ASAP after their free diagnosis. 6 hours later, I called them! They said, "the tech is just taking a look now, call back in 1.5 hours". So, I call in 1.5 hours and i got the same story. I drove to the store after work and when I arrived, same story, again. "The tech was just about to take a look". The millenial who was helping me then proceeded to go to the back and came back with my phone. I said "oh great!" and he said, "no we couldn't fix your phone you said you wanted to pick it up." I expressed my frustration with this gentleman that he gave me the same answer 3 times and that I did not say I wanted to pickup my phone, I wanted to know what the status was. He must've thought my frustration was amusing because he just laughed and said well its just the battery and you didn't give us time to look at it.....? I'm glad to have been the brunt of the joke for these guys who spend their day locked in a room with no windows doing god knows what to your devices.
