I received a response back stating that I should patiently wait for "multiple bottles" to ship (which is usually how I order, btw). Okay, waited till the next week - nothing. So I reached back out asking if they could again please check the order/status and see if something was "stuck". 10 minutes later I get an email saying my order was cancelled. No email back, nothing. I can see the scent is still "in stock" so this is just that delightful customer service they are known for being pissy. It's really gross.

It took smelling my way through every designer fragrance at the department stores to remind me that I just don't want to smell like everyone else. Social media did was social media does -- it influenced me. I found this lovely fragrance shop through a TikTok post. The store feels moody, exclusive, and rich. The walls are lined from top to bottom with every niche fragrance you've ever dreamt of sniffing. They don't have many employees, but the one who helped me was clearly driven by passion for fragrance... NOT commission! My only wish is that they had more staff to assist so their team wouldn't be so overloaded. If you crave the weird, the unique, the niche, Baroque & Bloom will be your happy place too. Unlike many of the Houston stores that are often crowded with demanding customers, this location maintains a calm, pleasant environment that makes shopping enjoyable. It truly feels like a hidden gem. It's also one of the few BBW stores in Houston that I haven't witnessed the constant, brazen shoplifting that has unfortunately become commonplace in retail and especially in this crime ridden city. Combined with the exceptional merchandise and thoughtfully curated inventory, the River Oaks store offers a refined shopping experience that keeps me coming back. So many choices! I did place my order online and their system to make your purchase is very easy. I opted to pick up my online order at the store. I was immediately greeted and directed to where I could pick up my online order. This was a simplified process. I decided to get another scent that I did not order online, as well as trade out one that I had ordered online for something I liked better. They worked with me and were so gracious in allowing me to make my trade out, and I appreciated it. There was a scent that I wanted that this location ran out of, they were kind enough to call the neighboring store for assistance (their Rice Village location) just minutes away. The Rice Village location had what I needed and then some! Something that really impressed me about the Rice Village team was how friendly and warm they were! Their customer service was on 10! Cudos to them! Over all a great experience! Of course, I will be back.
